im sure that the tracklist will disappoint all in some way. there's no way a 2cd set can ever include all her singles even, let alone the album tracks like Waiting that are hugely underrapreciated.

I would imagine that Madonna will have pushed to include more of her recent masterial over older stuff, but Warners will have had their own thoughts about that too.

One thing that we all have to be thankful for however is that ALL the tracks have been remastered. Her catalogue between 1987-1998 is, IMO, in need of remastering, and it will be amazing to get Into The Groove, Who's That Girl, Like A Prayer, Express Yourself, Vogue, Secret etc etc all in remastered quality. That's What im most excited about.

I don't know any casual fans that really give a rip about "Everybody". I am guessing it gets included for the reason of it being her first hit, but I think "Holiday" is the one the people prefer.

I agree, I love Everybody but the casual listener wouldn't even know the song. This compilation has the potential to sell boatloads so they really should stick to the definative hits I think. The hardcore fans have all her songs anyway and would buy the set for collection purposes.

But I am looking forward to the remastered Lika a Prayer tracks and Into the Groove. Hopefully the latter will be retained in it's 4:44 glory running time. No Immaculate Collection versions thank you very much.

Yeah, my bad (pun intended). "Causing a Commotion" reached #2 the week "Bad" hit #1, but then the former stayed at #2 while "I Think We're Alone Now" jumped it.
