Instead of bothering him, you could have googled it and found https://recordmecca.com/n...th-prince/ .
Asking someone a question isn't inherently bothering them. Some people like to have conversations and discussions. They actually enjoy talking to people. Perhaps you don't. Which is fine. But don't project your preferences onto other people.
People are accusing you of being Bart. Are you? If not, then let me tell you about Bart. He had this irrational, indefensible belief that the only legitimate way to aquire information was by reading it on a static page. He was vehemently opposed to interactive learning. He could never articulate why. He simply thought it was inherently true that gaining information through dialogue was somehow dumb or lazy. Which of course makes no sense. That's why comments like yours, expressing opposition to interactive learning, make people suspect you're Bart.

The albums released by the Estate are not bad. The two SDEs contain dozens and dozens of songs that I've been waiting for decades and that Prince had never released. They have been a liberation. I really liked the idea of releasing Welcome 2 America too, a minor album by Prince has emerged that helps to better understand his making music. One Day We All B Free is a sore song, it's good to have it in context. And Originals also releases pieces that we can finally hear with Prince's voice. Of course, all these projects have flaws, shortcomings, they could have been done better. But also much, much worse. Surely the bull-punchers at Prince.org couldn't have done them better, who are capable of designing album ideas so personal in their heads that - coming out of their navel - their assholes already wouldn't like them. |

Yes, Bizzie is Bart - in some other post he addressed the org members as "you lot" - a typically condescending phrase, that only Bart ever used around here. [Edited 4/5/23 9:47am] |

I don't think most fans are upset with which unreleased material they've put out so far, just upset that the people in charge are fucking around and we haven't had a full-on SDE in over 2 and a half years |

Mourning the death of a loved one and celebrating their life and what they did for others on the anniversary of the day they died is hardly uncommon, hardly distasteful and hardly diabolic.
It is not devilish, diabolic, fiendish, satanic, Mephistophelian, demonic, demoniacal, hellish, infernal, evil, wicked, ungodly or unholy - all synonyms for diabolic. It is Good Friday where I am writing this - Not that I am equating Prince with Jesus, just the mourning of their deaths, the celebration of their lives and being thankful for what they did.

Monetizing and commercializing someones' death EVERY YEAR after they have passed away...is a greedy, sinister and diabolic enterprise...and i couldnt care less about your obviously limited train of thought. |

Try to keep up wih my train of thought with a little more care. And please don't try to make this personal.
This thread is about us seeking to encourage MORE releases from a dead artist, not less. There is no evidence that the Estate is grossly monetising and commercialising Prince's death - Just the opposite. There is not a history of large scale exploitative releases on the 21 April every year since the first anniversary in 2017. All that happened is 7 years after his death, a person here suggested that perhaps we may get an announcement in April around the time of Prince's death after an extended period of lack of monetising products to commercialise Prince's music.

It is not all about you, We are both just replying to others before us in this thread. There is no point in taking this thread further off topic.
Lets move on and just agree that we want more musical releases from Prince and it really does not matter what day of the year these are announced.

I appreciated that effort. I guess the mods just want to stick with org policy limiting conversations to the first post about a given topic, no matter how off the rails it goes or how misleadingly it's titled.
Yet a new m.j. vs. prince thread every month or so.

Sounds similar to versions he’d play in 95 with Egyptian style intro and same sample from The Max [Edited 4/7/23 0:54am] |

The estate seems to stick to one release a year so something will definitely be released soon. I think there's a good chance we will actually get D&P SDE. U are now an official member of the New Power Generation

If they go ahead with both the D&P and o(+> SDEs, and they chose the glam slam 92 performamce for D&P, it'd be great if for the o(+> album they added the glam slam performance one year later in 1993 to promote the Act I tour. |

I've always considered D&P to be a very commercial album. If you'd asked me why, I would have said the production, the accessiblity of the songs, the heavy promotion (he made some of his most professional videos in years).
But it just occured to me that the hologram cover probably also plays into my perception of it being a commerical album.
I think the hologram is kind of tacky and crass. Do other people like it? Or like me, do people think it's too commerical and cheesy?

This does strongly hint at the joint D&P-Love Symbol SDE. In addition to the D&P specific panel, there's the panel lookig at Prince's experimentation with hip-hop. Those two records were his most extensive dive into that genre, so the topics go hand-in-hand.
