Imagine thinking artists were "for the most part" not under the queer umbrella. Hilarious.

Nice try but just another waste of time post. Yawn.

The only good thing about it is it just shows your frustration about not being able to address the topic with anything believable

Yeah, if you kick PF up like 20 notches, sure. Prince is not an analog to any one other rock star and has elevated the rockstar aesthetic by borrowing things from glam rock, funk rock, blues rock, hip hop, black culture, Latino and Hispanic cultures, Asian cultures, and GAY CULTURE. The only thing this thread is doing is giving anxiety to all the fragile heterosexuals who think that admitting they like something a little gay is gonna be the gateway drug to THEM being fucked on stage by Kirky J.

There we go again. What is 'Gay Culture?'

Again, explain me. I'm gay.

Although nevermind.

And yet he unequivocally said no he is not gay in Uptown and his responce to not believing what people say when they question his race (he is Black) and his sexuality (he is straight) etc was to lead his audience in praying the Lord's Prayer as a way of handling the controversies he and others can face.

Yep! After he had such stage fright on with Dick Clark on American Bandstand that he couldn't speak, he decided he had to develop a "public personna" and he kept it up. That was one of his "sleights of hand..." among others. But it sure lead to some great songs and performances before the religious kick set in.

Yet another gross and highly inaccurate assumption.

.

I have no problem with any gay person, just YOU - YOU do not represent all gay people and have even argued with other gay people in this very thread. I do not want to erase any person from existence, not even you.

.

Once again you deliberately misrepresent the flow of this discussion - Just as with shoes, it was YOU who raised underwear first and YOU who first critiqued me based on your assumptions about you imagined I wear.

Can you read?

I asked you if you ever wore lace panties for your woman based on YOUR assertion that Prince wore them and other feminine clothing and mimicked anal sex with Kirk because it was like porn for straight women. And that's just the kinda dumb shit that would indeed come out of a straight guy's out of touch mouth. Then you imagined what kind of underwear I wore, going into such detail as to talk about the color and the cut of the garment.

Then you got caught up on taking mock offense to eeeeevery little thing I say, even when it's clear I've disengaged from writing these long love letters to you when when your unconscious biases are on full display.

It matters not to me that you, some random Aussie white guy feels some type of way about American cultures (btw, need I even say white considering Aussies have relegated all brown people to homelessness or red line cities outside the metro areas of Sydney and Melbourne). You are born of cream cheese and mayonnaise, Vegemite is spicy in your ivory tower down there, bud. And before you even try it, I'll remind you I lived in Sydney for a long time and know just how you clowns treat minorities.

All due respect, but when it comes to American cultures (including LGBT culture), YOU haven't a peg-leg to stand on, mate. Try barking up a tree that an Aussie is more familiar with - like fracking or selling your souls to China.

Meanwhile, I'll be over here unmoved, unbothered, and unparched in my understanding of what my country of origin's cultures are comprised of.

As we all know, Australia doesn't even have its own culture. What the absolute hell would you know about gay culture?

.

There is no question that I can read.

.

For example I can read that you mention Prince wearing lace bikinis/panties in Post #13 and again in Post #55 and again Post # 73 - This was the post where you asked personal questions about my sex life that I constantly refused to discuss with a creep like you.

.

IF YOU could read then you would see that I NEVER asserted Prince wore lace panties ever. Not once. You have been caught out in yet another lie.

.

Lie number 2 is was YOU, NOT ME who raised "Prince mimicked being fucked in the ass by another man during a dance routine in the 90s on a major tour while singing a song about fucking a woman" in post #65. YOU raised it again in Post #73 with "But yes, of course, it was all a show to attract women because obviously heterosexual women are attracted to the sight of Prince taking Kirk's dick." I had to explain it to you in Post #75 that there was only one person who thought Prince took Kirk's dick on stage and that, yes it was a stage antic that was never meant to attract men - You know this because you know Prince was not gay and you admitted that he was singing about fucking a WOMAN. Once again your attempt to rewrite history fails by when people read whta you said in the thread and how it was BEFORE I said what falsely said you were responding to.

.

I already pointed out to you that you really should have more common sense that to assume in a social media forum that you can make shit up and misrepresent the discussion on the assumption that no one will read what you said before. You get caught out each time you try to do it.

.

Further misrepresentation - I only referred to your being an 80+ year old in stained and worn out former tidy whities AFTER you made up shit about what you imagined I wore - If you can't stand the heat in the kitchen, get out - if you cannot take it, don't give it first.

.

What unconscious biases? I am for the rights of LGBTQIA+ and Indigenous people around the world, especially in Australia. I am, however, against you, just as most people in this thread have been - regardless of sexuality.

.

I have no reason to believe that you ever lived in Sydney. And on USA vs Australia - gay rights do NOT have a proud history in either place (the same as many, many other places worldwide). There are no States or Territories in Australia where being gay is still outlawed but there are 17 States in the USA where this is still the position. In 1980 the rights of LGBTQIA+ people were MUCH less than today in both places.

.

You also have jumped to more false assumptions: I cook Burmese, Malaysian, Thai, Japanese and Korean. No one who actually lived in Australia considers Vegemite "spicy" food, it is fed to children as just something tasty on toast or sandwiches.

.

All your bullshit, lies, misrepresentations and misdirections are simply to cover that you have NEVER been able to show that what Prince wore in the late 70 and early 80s was more like what Gay men in Minneapolis wore at the time than what Glam rockers, Funkadelic/Parliament and people into psychedelia and the androgynous fashions around during Prince's formative years. The reason you have not been able to show it is because you know it is not true - most Gay men in Minneapolis in 1980 did NOT wear what Prince was wearing no matter how much you wish and pretend they did.

I'm well aware 'brother' and I think I read more than most here altogether, don't worry.

It's my job.

What you say (bold) is correct (just keep it simple).

Believe me, i know every gay culture from start to finish.

Why? Cause been there done that, and came to the conclusion (at my age) it's not me.

I don't deny any culture, group or any deviant self-respecting minority/majority whatsoever - addressed to those who like to see themselves categorized.

My point was (previous post), I prefer to treat 'everyone' as a person first.

No matter what colour or whatever or whomever anyoneone likes to stick their dick or tongue in.

People are people first and foremost, always, everywhere - individuals, individualy.

And if you like to talk within context about any group, that's ok, as long as you understand the human side of it all (and as long as you can avoid the unneeded stigmatizing of any group through generization. But I'm sure you agree with me on that). smile

Thats my way of approaching the world and people.

Gay culture excist for those who want that or need that. Not me.

I really can't see the benefit in that.

I'm a human who happenes to be gay, but that is NOT IMPORTANT AT ALL!

To me, it doesn't add any value (or less value) to what or who I/you am/are.

All in my humble opinion of course.
