Blast From The Past 7.0 As always, acknowledgement of the rules...
This is neither a promotion or endorsement, but since the Blast releases are usually a hot topic for discussion I thought it was worth bring the subject to the table. Blast 7 has been announced along with a track list. The majority of the set seems be widely circulating, but we are yet to know what is sourced from where and what the overall quality is like. I did notice one or two tracks thaty I don't think are widely circulating yet.
It really is that simple

it looks like hard 2 get is 3.37 long so that would be the only new thing on this set unless there are better sourced material than what is already circulating
AKA PDEXTER | |

Really hoping that's the case

I honestly don't get the constant rehash to bootlegs. This is shit we've had forever and a day, is it not? Yes, I know "Neurotic" is new (the person who shared it publically here got it from me), but 99% of the other stuff isn't. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

worthless, terrible, shitty release once again taken off the backs of those kind enough to share for free. tale as old as time, but one that's just as irritating now as it was back in the day. [Edited 4/28/21 11:46am]

Oh...I like this series a lot....it got songs I know ...now..in a very good source...so...better than a whole lotta boots..more likely by me than any live boot
Blast..is the best boot I know
I would even say...you don't have to own any boot...if you own every blast [Edited 4/28/21 12:15pm]

Seems like there's nothing interesting on Blast from the Past this time. [Edited 4/28/21 12:20pm] Welcome 2 The Dawn

It'll be a blast from the past to hear those 2 minute snippets again. "That's when stars collide. When there's space for what u want, and ur heart is open wide."

"I got over it" hasn't ever been in circulation has it?

Phase3 said: "I got over it" hasn't ever been in circulation has it? According to princevault this has been released on Valerie Carter’s posthumous album The Lost Tapes. The song was written by Prince and she but the released version features her vocals and other musicians playing the music. Hopefully the song on BFTP 7 is an unreleased version with Prince’s vocals and instrumentation. Otherwise, what’s the point of including it?

Yes the majority of this will be rehash, but there aren't many of you who will paying for this release anyway. Formerly TheDigitalGardener etc.

What a crappy release...
Clearly, the golden age is over for Eye Records.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Unfortunately no new outtakes or demo......just a rehash of well known recordings from recent years & stolen free songs offered by insiders these past years.....this Blast 07 will not be at the nivel of the previous ones ....there is nothing more from Eye's Vault !!

Hard to get is from the Rebels sessions.
Nothing new here. | |

Hope the "Dopamine Rush " song is the full prince version.
I believe "Move Me" isn't circulating [Edited 4/29/21 0:19am]

It seems!!! | |

Well, for the fans who aren’t heavily into looking everywhere for new leaks online, BFTP still comes in handy to those who only follow Eye Records and not other sources So with that in mind; not a bad release.

IT IS the 2 minutes sample.

I wouldn't even know where to pay for it! I've not bought any bootlegs since we came into the digital age. But that said, there's nothing compelling that I see on this release. Can't see myself putting any effort into tracking this one down. RIP

I personally love these sets. I think they do an AMAZING job. Yeah there is some rehashed stuff. I have a gigantic collection of these songs and sets. I still want more and will order this set too.
There is such a snobiness here with us fans. No other artist ever had so much material for the "fans" to digest....lighten up guys. Pheromone make a ni**a go crazy
Fuckin' around make a ni**a wanna die

why give these total dipshits a red cent? absolutely disgraceful. i can promise you that within 10 minutes of the first person getting there's it will be all over everywhere online. people have already put out 90 percent of what's on here for free.

Did some of this stuff leak in the recent past? Much of the stuff that's on here I last remember getting copies of on Work It 2.0. If this is better quality sources of that material compiled from recent free leaks then that would at least serve some purpose for me (I haven't really been keeping an eye on leaked tracks of late), but if it's literally the same sources that are on Work It 2.0 then this seems especially redundant, even by Eye Records' usual standards. Heavenly wine and roses seems to whisper to me when you smile...

Has Move Me leaked before? I'm not familiar with the track

Move Me is an unreleased track recorded on 6 February 1990 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota (five days before Thieves In The Temple). While most of Prince's writing collaborations stemmed from jam sessions with bandmembers or adding his own contributions to tracks begun by other writers, this track is a rare example of Prince co-writing in the studio with other writers; co-writer David Z. Rivkin believed that this was the first time Prince had done that. The track was left as a preliminary version, however, with Prince singing accompanied only by piano, perhaps played by Levi Seacer, Jr., the other co-writer on the track. The track was copyrighted at the Library of Congress on 20 May 1991, but remains unreleased.
