You don't have to buy this stuff, none of it is official and we have 5 cd's of vault stuff from the estate in good sound quality, along with 2 live show DVD's, live CD's, a new album coming up plus Originals and Piano and Microphone.

Two longer versions of Adore are missing on the set (one 14 minute edit of some rehearsal/soundcheck version with overdubs and a 20+ minute version of the same rehearsal/soundcheck without the overdubs so proabably the 'uncut' version) and re-recordings of Katrina's Paper Dolls, Make u Mine and Rearrange. These were confirmed by multiple traders.
Hopefully the Estate will release these if or when these are found or maybe they have already and decided not to release these for whatever reason.

yeah the list of stuff missing from 1999 SDE seems to be huge. Just the longer versions of 1999, Little Red Corvette (doesn't fade out like the album version) alternate versions of LPWM, DMSR, Automatic and All the Critics Love U in NY. And then there's the huge list of outtakes.
I would have loved to see a Triple Thread Box set with everything from Vanity 6 and The Time in it becuase the 1999 SDE just doesn't feel complete without them especially with all the outtakes and alternate versions that were left out.

Questlove insists its real and I think he's had it for a while.

The plot thickens with Mathieu Bitton saying on Twitter 'the master was not at WB and wasn't found anywhere. 7.21 version was sent back to Prince in June 87.'

I think the estate are saving the best stuff for future releases and that's why we get super deluxe editions that feels incomplete. But it's frustrating cuz whe have no idea when or if it will happen, that's why it's a shame some of it doesn't show up on Blast from the Past. Ufortunately I don't think Eye records have anything more to offer at this point other than outtakes we already have.

I hope there are plans for more complete sets in the future but who will buy these if the core fans aren't here anymore to buy them? I think the interest in physical releases is declining more and more.
The vinyl hype among younger people will wear out soon i think when they realise that every time they play it it deteriorates and they will have to pay form it again.
