Found this The Prince Guide (Vol. 1: 1958-1982) on Print In Print Archive on Facebook Turns out this book is a fraud. Kristen Zschomler confirms they copied her reaserch text word-for-word into this book.[Edited 5/25/21 11:10am] |

I'm suspious of this book. Andrea Swensson said the text was lifted word for word out of historian Kristen Zschomler’s research. |

It's comparable with Duane's books (day by day all the concerts and studio recordings with lots of transcripts of many interviews) but for the period 78-82. The book highlights all the video and audio files that comes with the book. Very interesting. The files contains many outtakes (some of which I never heard before) and lots of concerts (both audio and video) from Rick James Tour, Dirty mind tour, controversy tour. Also some award shows from that period. It contains also all the released albums and singles including his proteges (the time, vanity 6). Very interesting and worth the risk. Can't wait for future volumes. |

I feel embarrassed buying and liking this book and all the files because I know how much everyone is paying the Estate for every bootleg they buy or download for free. Ow.. wait... you don't pay the Estate anything.... I support the Estate and Prince in buying all the official releases and rereleases (vinyl, deluxe, books from Duane,... you name it I buy it). So I do my fair share. I don't know who Kirsten is and didn't mean to harm her but still it is a nice piece of work and I enjoy it very much. |
