I'm still trying to wrap my head around the comments from Prince's personal assistant who worked for him from 2013 to October 2015. She said Prince never seemed sick to her, she never saw him take pills nor did she ever get any on his behalf. She genuinely seemed shocked by his death. She also said even though he lived alone at PP most of the time he was not alone there. I pulled up her profile on LinkedIn and if she's being truthful in her job description she did a lot for Prince and it seems reasonable to assume she had access to places no one else (except maybe Kirk) would have had access to. https://apnews.com/2e1a16...-energetic Paisley Park is in your heart

It's hard to know because some people are saying he was sick and others were saying he was healthy. However, if she stopped working for him in October 2015, then there were 6-7 months between October 2015 and April 21, 2016. Perhaps things got worse for him in those last 6-7 months? Like I said, it's hard to know. The man NEVER looked a mess in public. Look at him at the Warriors-Thunder game in March of 2016. He looks like he's aged compared to how he looked in 2011-2012, but otherwise, there's nothing visibly wrong with him that I can see. . Source: http://www.dailymail.co.u...-cane.html . .

But to me it pours a little cold water on the notion that he had some long term addiction problem. Adrian Crutchfield's comments to Funkenberry also stick with me. Mostly because he has a history of drug abuse in his family and I believe he even said he was a dealer when he was younger. Of course first and foremost I'm sure he was just sticking up for his friend but he obviously would know the signs of someone under the influence and he made a point of requesting a second interview with Funkenberry to discuss this subject. He was one of the last musicians to work with Prince. Paisley Park is in your heart

The public doesn't know how long Prince was abusing or addicted to painkillers. It would not surprise me if he was taking the painkillers in moderation for several years (or more) to help him with the gruels of touring. Based on watching videos of performances and looking at photos from 2011 to 2012, he was still dancing in heels, climbing onto the piano in heels, and playing the guitar with gusto on the Welcome 2 tours. In 2011 and 2012, he was 52.5 to 54.5 years of age, but could have passed for being 40. He was still incredible sexy and was flaunting his chest hair on a regular basis. . Sometime in late 2013 or early 2014, I notice a difference in his style because he is covering himself more by wearing mostly tunics or turtlenecks. He stops showing the chest hair and he definitely starts to look a lot older. Maybe he looked older because of the afro. Who knows what was going on with him. Was he sick? Was he abusing painkillers? Was he just aging? Was he dealing with a lot of emotional pain? It's hard to know exactly. Live 4 Love ~ Love is God, God is love, Girls and boys love God above

Amazing footage! His voice was beautiful and clear and he was hitting those really high notes like they were nothing! Towards the end, I had to hit the pause button a few times, where he was close-up, and I could not help but ask Prince: "What was going on?" Sad how he got up, with his cane and held it up in the air and it's also even more heartbreaking that this was the last time we ever heard him perform.

I watched the video and it made me sad. I'm a year older than Prince and to me, he shows a serious mental decline in a person of this age. He looks like he is in his own little world and barely realizes there is a show going on. There is no humor or zest or hospitality even. Fortunately his fans are there for him when he needs them and I hope he felt the 💜 love, but he seemed flat and robot like. [Edited 5/29/17 14:22pm]

. Interesting. Was she working for him up until he passed? Even though she was his assistant and around him every day, she still did not know what he did in his "alone" and "private" time, ya know? . During the day, it was all business, but you don't really know what a person is doing after hours. . A lot of people who worked closely with Prince said they never observed him being high, seeming "off" or under the influence of anything, except his music. . I'm sure Prince had his good days and his bad ones, just like the rest of us, so I'm not suggesting that he was hiding his drug problem either (if he had one). We do know that he was in chronic pain and only wanted relief from that, like anyone else would. That doesn't make him a bad person. He was only human.

She worked for him until October 2015. Of course she wasn't around him 24/7 but I'll bet she was around him more than just about anyone other than Kirk. Paisley Park is in your heart

. Sorry, I read the part where she worked for him up until October, 2015. I think a lot of us were shocked at those pics of him at that New Year's Eve party in St. Barts--He did look unusually thin. Something drastically changed with him in the last 6-months of his life, for sure! . Not a great pic of him, but this was from that night in St. Barts: . .
And this one we've seen many times--his arrival in St. Barts, with his pursed lips like he so often had: . .

To me, he looks pretty ill at the Warriors game. His coloring is green/ yellow.
And my God, on NYE St. Bart. God bless him, I hope he squeezed out every last minute ----- Love to Prince--- [Edited 5/29/17 16:49pm]

I was wondering that also. As I thought about it, even though Prince indicated that he wasn't into age; I pondered what would be an appropriate hair style for a man approaching his mid 50s. I just can't see a man in his 50s with "pressed/relaxed" hair (no offense to anyone personally). In my opinion yes his fro looked more becoming when it was smaller; but I think it was a good choice to let go of the pressed look.

A few people talk about Prince looking "pale", do we really have a good sense of his normal complexion/coloring? I now that everyone has probably seen the youtube clip of him getting on the elevator with in a black outfit; then he's on a train, playing at the piano. The end clip, where he is playing the guitar, is the first time that I ever realized how light complexioned he was. Maybe I'm the only one.

His PA from 2013 to 2015 dish he had more energy then she had and when they were on the road she was with home 24/7. I do not believe he was abusing pain pills for decades. Based on the photos from the Warriors game, he doesn't look like he's wearing make-up. Maybe that has something to do with the difference in coloring.

That would have meant he had real prescriptions, maybe for an illness OTHER THAN opioid dependency (since you and others want him to havbeen suffering from every illness known to man). It is documented that Prince had been on painkillers for years. He was hospitalized at least twice in the last three years of his life. . Painkiller dependency is NOT a moral failing but Prince likely thought it was, considering his past stance against drugs. He wouldn't even give Stevie Bicks another dose of OTC cough medicine. .
