He looked beautiful, yet thin. Very thin. All the recent photos, even professional shots, his face is much thinner. His clothing hung off his frame. Beautiful as ever tho, just very thin. Anyone who can't see it or thinks its simply due to aging is being unrealistic. If anything aging tends to put weight on, turn muscle into flabbiness. He may not have been a lot lighter on the scales, but he had lost almost all muscle tone. Besides black men seem to retain muscle tone well into their middle or even later years especially if they were fit their entire lives. Poor Prince. My heart hurts. I wish i could watch the link provided at the beginning of this thread, but i'm just not ready yet.

I agree. He was always very thin, but even more so in the last couple of years of his life. And, you are correct; we lose muscle mass as we age and It did not appear that Prince was working out in his later years; not like he did when he was touring and performing 10-20 years ago.

This is poorly written and expressed, and full of non-sequitors. You follow up lines like "treatment for some medical issue" with "the things I am pointing out are facts". Pure garbage. I know you know better....

These facts are the basis for why many of us do not believe addiction was the only problem he was having if at all. It is more possible that he was dependent on these meds and wanted to withdraw from them in a cold turkey manner for medical reasons ( some medical issue making it important that he detox immediatly thus putting him into withdrawal which could have been going on for months )

He certainly had the means to obtain the suxbone and seek better quality outpatient care then Dr. S. ( who has no background in addiction or pain management.)

---

See below the facts and I will not provide links. You need to use the search engine.

-----

Prince had 65k in medical expenses on his inventory sheet. ( Do people usually have that type of expense for buying illegal drugs on a form that is going to the IRS)

You were provided a report from the media concerning his trip to a holistic doctor.
( Do people who are suppose to be so sick from withdrawals that should not be able to leave the bathroom hustle off to holistic healears if drug use is their main issue. )

Andrew is not an addiction specialist and he was not a patient of Dr. K's at all. We still have no proof other than hearsay that Prince knew Andrew was coming much less bringing meds with him.

Prince was not worried about having a written record of medical treatment since he did see Dr. K and did actually have Rxs written for him by Dr. K. He was not hiding or in incognito about seeing this doctor. He even went to the Walgreens himself very strange behaivor for someone who was hiding a secret addiction.

Remember medical records are written records of what is going on. We do not have them so we do not know all of what was going on with Prince's health.

There are a lot of other clues about his health that are not factual but certainly seem odd that I will not list.

Why do you think he went back to the afro?

I was wondering that also. As I thought about it, even though Prince indicated that he wasn't into age; I pondered what would be an appropriate hair style for a man approaching his mid 50s. I just can't see a man in his 50s with "pressed/relaxed" hair (no offense to anyone personally). In my opinion yes his fro looked more becoming when it was smaller; but I think it was a good choice to let go of the pressed look.

I thought he went back to the afro as a throw back to him beginning his career. I believe Prince was slowing down creatively. I also believe he was preparing for life without touring or music. My logic is planning PP for a musuem, rental properties. I have not facts or insight, just my opinion.

If he was vomiting or had an upset stomach that would account for weight loss due to the use of pills but he was not a big man and he was a vegetarian so it would not take much for him to lose weight.

Medically speaking-No. Weight loss is not a usual side effect of taking pain meds.

If he was withdrawing and sick, minimal weight loss for a brief amount of time.

Aditionally, someone who is "getting clean" tends to actually put on weight....

So, Imo...there was something else going on entirely in regards to the weight loss. UNLESS he tore up his system over a long period of time as a direct result of taking pain meds. My thoughts lie with the former statement

Now you're being silly. Let's start with your very first "fact": Prince had 65k in medical expenses on his inventory sheet. ( Do people usually have that type of expense for buying illegal drugs on a form that is going to the IRS).

Again, see how you're making the leap here? It's sloppy, lazy thinking. You know nothing of the items that made up this expense. Perhaps it was for legal anti-addiction drugs. In your world, if he wasn't buying illegal drugs then he wasn't addicted to any drugs. I know you know better.

As you know, those were illegal Fentanyl pills he took. He probably didn't know the pills were laced with deadly drugs; have you given that a thought?

He thought that he was taking acetaminophen (Tylenol) and hydrocodone pills. It only takes a very small amount of fentanyl to kill a person - 3mg. If Prince was taking the normally prescribed amount of the acetaminophen/hydrocodone pills, and they are laced with fentanyl, that would be enough to kill him.

Well, I think we can all agree that there were a lot of pills lying around haphazdly, with a variety of labels, across different rooms, and in carry-on bags. Certainly a lot for a guy who no one considers an addict. Strange that.

Actually they were not laying around they were in bottles in his living quarters. I do not recall anyone saying they found pills in the studios or under seat cushions or in his cars.It was about 100 pills and a few people on this board who get these pills say they come in 90 day batches. Prince did not have a pill factory in Paisley Park and considering it is a 65 Sq foot facilty he could have hid these pills well enough so they could not be found at all. Think about that for a moment. The security cameras were off so we have no idea what happened in that building until the EMT arrived.
[Edited 5/30/17 14:24pm]

That is not a lot of pills. I get 180 pain pills every thirtty days. I have to take a pain pill every 4 hours. And I'm on some STRONG SHIT. they are no longer allowed to be prescribed in any manner except 30 day supply. If Prince was in pain like myself then 3 a day which equals 90 pills, he would not be getting the relief be needed. Not by using anything like Norco or hydrocodone. He would have had to move up to Percocet or straight oxycodone.

Thank you for saying this as it appears to me he was following a supply schudule perhaps if had an RX in the past this was his supply or perhaps he was trying to ween himself and got some input from Dr.S apparently some were cut in half. This just does not sound like some plowing pills down their mouth but maybe trying to ween themselves.

I am also of the opinion that something else was causing his weight loss. Usually, people who are drug addicts do not eat much, or don't eat at all. Their drug is their food of choice. I remember when Dave Gahan was using heroin, he looked like hell. He was always thin, but he looked like a walking skeleton when he was using.
