No. You're reaching with your translation. If it's a criminal investigation, it's about how, why and who got him HIS painkillers. I could get my Mrs to get me some opiates tomorrow that she's entitled to but I'm certainly not, If i took them and died.. Who would be responsible?
. It's a mess and desperately sad, but i think some fans need to accept Prince made his own decisions and was responsible for himself. Hard to accept but that's how it appears.

Junglehop said: MIRvmn said: Yes I find it odd that he would do something like that, as u said he wasn't stupid and knew exactly what he was doing *sigh*... You both clearly don't understand opiate addiction at all. It's f**king serious. I urge you to educate yourselves on the topic. As i said earlier, it is a hidden epidemic killing many people daily. Prince had an addiction, it killed him, and no, he didn't know what he was doing.... he needed intervention and serious help. This could happen to any of us, it could happen to you and your families... our friends, partners, mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers are dying everyday from opiate addiction in the community. Frankly it is out of control, it's a modern day scourge affecting many lives and hopefully Prince's death may shine a light on it and bring about changes in the medical world. Don't trivialize addiction, learn from Prince's death and you my save someone's life oneday if you intervene and take them seriously and get them help for their addiction. I agree. Never thought Prince himself would succumb to it; I hope his death will not be in vain. "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

Some questions:
1. Who knew Prince took pain killers? 2. Who knew Prince had troubles with overuse and/or detoxing? 3. Did Prince partially die of shame, hiding his use of pain killers even from closest friends? It's interesting and saddening that Tamron Hall, for example, seemed to have no idea about the pain killers. She and Prince spoke for hours and hours about personal and likely intimate issues, even in the last week of his life. But at least two people had to know when he started taking them. And a small few people apparently knew he was recently overusing them, for whatever reason. [Edited 6/2/16 16:41pm] "Love & honesty, peace & harmony"

I have a strange feeling that it might have been. , the last minute paisley park party on sat, only $10.00 bucks, (1 last party), the strange tweet, the multiple bike rides to take in life on Sat, the record store shopping, on mon, nite on the town at the local club to check out the talent, mon, and most of all, no one at paisley park on that day wen,-but what puzzels me, is the overdose after the Atlanta show seems like a mistake-Prince wouldn't have intentially do something to alert the press!
This is all crazy, why didn't they just stay with our beautiful Prince that day? Why did they just drop him off at home? Even if he said go home, I would have said NO, I will be posted up outside if need be, something-If you thought he was in trouble to justify a call to one of his confidante, then why would you leave him alone. Where was family? If that was my bro, he would have had to call the police if you tryed to make me leave you-
Blind item came out on Monday April 18th/I know he saw it or herd about it-
My mother always said, you can count your friends on one hand, damn! Didn't Prince have one friend? [Edited 6/2/16 17:47pm]

Ok, I heard this story a few weeks ago from someone I know. It could be bs, but I will throw it out there, but take it with a large grain of salt. This person's doctor supposedly knew the doctors who performed Prince's hip surgery. Apparently he was suffering from severe hip pain. Sheila E, who knew one of the doctors because of her own health related issues with performing, convinced Prince to come to California and get hip replacement surgery in 2010. He supposedly had surgery on his hip and ankle. The kicker is the doctor said Prince aggraverated his hip problem by performing in 2011. The hip replacement wasn't designed to sustain long term, rigorous activity. Take a look at the Welcome To... concerts in 2011. Prince was dancing and moving around the stage for 2 or more hours. There are some clips of him jumping off his piano. There's the segment where he is dancing intensely in heels to Cool/Don't Stop to You Get Enough medley. I've read that doctors only started recommending hip replacement surgery to patients under 60 because the advancement in materials. Before that doctors wouldn't perform hip replacement on younger patients for fear of damaging the articial hip and causing further problems. When I first heard this, I thought the doctor was probably full of it, but then I saw Prince had a scar on his hip and ankle amde me think twice. Here is a list of activities tht can damage an artificial hip.
https://www.hipreplacemen...y/activity Leisure and Sport Activities Three major categories of activities should be avoided. These include:
Lower-stress activities such as golf, hiking, walking, biking, stationary skiing (e.g., Nordic Track), and swimming are excellent forms of exercise for individuals with a hip replacement. Others may also be considered for long-term sports or leisure activities including cross-country skiing, doubles tennis, table tennis, and bowling. The way a hip replacement will perform depends on your age, weight, activity level and other factors. There are potential risks and recovery takes time. If you have conditions that limit rehabilitation, you should not have this surgery. Only an orthopaedic surgeon can tell you if hip replacement is right for you.

Dave Marsh, the rock critic who wrote the first proper book on Elvis stated that Elvis died friendless and that was the biggest tragedy of his life. It's kind of odd that when i listen to the breakdown Prince says something about "the saddest story that's ever been told" and Marsh used almost the same wording in his book, "the saddest story I know of" or something. Prince said before that yes men aren't friends so he seemed to be a little more in touch than most stars about that. I really don't think this report answers very much at all and I think we'll get more in time.

She then deleted this post. Somebody started a thread about it back then. So I'm gonna conclude that she knew but I'm not going to go into what if anything she did about it. I'm sure as he was someone she loved she tried to help. [Edited 6/2/16 17:36pm] Baby, you're a star.

^^ In retrospect it really does look like Mani was saying Prince had a problem, without really 'saying it'...probably couldn't say it due to agreements, so looks like she was just heavily implying it" http://prince.org/msg/5/353938
Dr. Drew had the doctor that Nancy Grace uses on to explain how Fentanyl works, and why perhaps P was found in the elevator. Through normal use of a patch there would be no overdose. Using other means to get the substance into the system quicker (sub-lingual or injection) and especially mixed with a benzo would have caused a quick reaction. This again brings me right back to Schulenberg, who had no reason to be treating Prince for withdrawals. Both times he overdosed, he had been treated by Schulenberg, who supposedly didn't prescribe him any opiates...but he did prescribe him meds to help with the withdrawals...so what did he prescribe? Benzos? And then leave Prince alone to maybe take both? I don't know but I think at the end of the day Schulenberg is going to have alot of explaining to do, and at the least will lose his medical liscense if not more.

I believe it, early on I remember reading local reports on small acts and one stating that he didn't interact with the audience and was not animated in any way, he looked very nervous on stage. Prince had an addiction, it killed him, and no, he didn't know what he was doing.... he needed intervention and serious help. I knew something was off when he left the hospital mere hours after being unresponsive on a private jet. Who does that?

Charm4ever asked if he didn't even have one friend. This really choked me up all over again.
Can I just add some insight on addiction? I will not speculate on whether or not Prince was an addict or not but I would like to interject a little about addiction from a personal perspective because I think some education about the illness might be of some help .
There is a tremendous amount of pain in addiction. I have nothing but compassion for those that suffer. Someone who truly cared for me saved me from myself. I was willing and I was lucky. I am incredibly sad that Prince didn’t have anyone. Like Charm4ever asked, Wasn't there anyone?
You know who Prince was or you wouldn’t be here reading. If you have forgotten, go back and listen to that audio recording from 1981. https://youtu.be/O0MXqmUCN9U People who are generally content with life and at peace with their place in it don't feel the need to make art. It's the dispossessed, the rejected that have a need to save their lives by creating something. Prince tried everyday and we will benefit from his creativity forever.
