TIDAL Teams With Prince To Live Stream Audio From "Rally 4 Peace" Baltimore Benefit Concert COMMITS TO MATCHING CHARITABLE DONATIONS FROM FANS AND SUPPORTERS. http://www.prnewswire.com..._cleartime . NEW YORK, May 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today TIDAL announced, on Sunday, May 10, 2015, it will live stream audio from Prince & 3RDEYEGIRL's Mother's Day Rally 4 Peace benefit concert, pre-pay wall, during its TIDAL X: Baltimore event. TIDAL will be the exclusive destination to hear this historic live concert. Following a month of unrest, the Rally 4 Peace is meant to be a catalyst for pause and reflection following the outpouring of violence that has gripped Baltimore and areas throughout the US. Details surfaced last week about a protest song titled "Baltimore" Prince recently recorded in response to the civil unrest. The song was written following the death of 25-year old Freddie Gray and is a tribute to all of the people of Baltimore. The live stream will provide an opportunity for all people globally to experience the music and participate in a cultural moment that can inspire, motivate and provoke changes in our current climate. TIDAL's work to build a creative artist space made it appealing to the global superstar who has always supported a visionary approach. "TIDAL has the ability to create experiences that bring people together," said Vania Schlogel, Senior Executive for TIDAL. "We are privileged to partner with Prince so that people everywhere can share in this moment for healing and unity to support Baltimore youth through the power of music. Our dream is to be able to provide a limitless platform for all artists." "I am honored to join Prince in his mission to inspire through the uniting power of music and be able to offer a platform where this moment can be shared globally. We invite all to experience the music and contribute in their own way to promote peace, tolerance and understanding," added JAY Z. "Our prayers go out to Freddie Gray's family and every family affected by brutality and senseless violence." Fans and supporters can listen to TIDAL X: Baltimore by going to www.TIDAL.com. Alongside the free 60min audio stream, TIDAL's homepage will feature a "match funds" donation button to support local Baltimore youth charities. TIDAL is also providing the opportunity to support and donate to The Baltimore Justice Fund, whose mission it is to end racial discrimination, create schools that are welcoming and safe, reduce the impact of drug addiction and eliminate police brutality in Baltimore. All can donate at www.osi-baltimore.org. Tickets for Sunday's show at Royal Farms Arena went on sale Wednesday. A portion of all proceeds will benefit Baltimore youth charities. As a symbolic message of shared humanity and love for one another, concertgoers are invited to wear something gray to the family-friendly Mother's Day event.

I like the guitar playing, but it's all a bit pretty, isn't it? Not what I was expecting and the back-up singer doesn't really do anything for the song. Hundalasiliah!

The chants aren't very good. I wasn't aware that Kirky J. was back in the Prince camp. [Edited 5/9/15 5:18am] U been bamboozled, hoodwinked, took.

I actually kind of like it. I'm glad it's not somber in tone. Considering the iffy lyrics, I think uptempo was the right way to go. Also, the harmonies are really gorgeous. "That's when stars collide. When there's space for what u want, and ur heart is open wide."

After leaving it alone for a day, I went back and listenned to it again. The second half is stronger than the first, but the whole of the song is still pretty bad. It sort of reminds me of stuff that would have been on Graffiti Bridge, the album, if it had been better. มีเพียงความว่างเปล่า 只有空虚 Dim ond gwacter 만 공허함이있다 唯一の虚しさがあります There is only the void.

The song sounds like something that would play on Sesame Street or a DVD for kids. Sorry, but the oppression faced by racialized minorities in a capitalist patriarchy deserve better than a trite message of "Can't we all just get along?" The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.
"You still wanna take me to prison...just because I won't trade humanity for patriotism."

: BALTIMORE - Reclusive rocker Prince took the stage in Baltimore on Sunday evening in a "Rally 4 Peace" concert in response to the death of a 25-year-old man of injuries suffered in police custody and the riots that followed, telling the crowd: "We are here for you." The Grammy-winning musician, appearing at Royal Farms Arena along with his backing band 3RDEYEGIRL, performed such hits as "Raspberry Beret" as well as a new song called "Baltimore" which he dedicated to the city. "We are here for you tonight," he said. A statement released by the venue earlier this week promised other "superstar guests" at the concert. A promotional image for the show urged attendees to "wear something gray," in apparent reference to Freddie Gray, who died in a Baltimore hospital a week after his arrest on April 12. Gray's death became the latest flashpoint in a national outcry over police killings of unarmed black men and other minority groups in the United States, and provoked weeks of protests punctuated by a day of riots, arson and looting in the city on April 27. Days later Baltimore's chief prosecutor announced charges against all six police officers involved in Gray's arrest, ranging from misconduct in office to second degree murder. Prince released "Baltimore" on Sunday ahead of the concert, which features performer Eryn Allen Kane and includes a mention of Gray. Though Gray was not killed by a gunshot wound it also urges: "Let's take all the guns away." if i see snipets of his performance on the news, i'll know if i would have liked his live performance or not. i just admire prince for trying to create harmony in an otherwise descorde, "unfriendly feeling, ill will;" also "dissention, strife," in a recently stressed atmosphere= >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> also: http://news.yahoo.com/pri...EEc2VjA3Nj
