I really wish people would stop stating that Prince has shared his talent and has given us.....No, he sells his talent for at least a million dollars to even step on a stage. He sells his music. It's his job. And just because something is so-called free (which is was not, because time is just as worhty as money) does not mean it should be sloppy and poorly presented. Most people would not have care if he got rid of the host, step on stage and sung the hell out of scandaloius and allowed Josh to play the few tracks. Yes it would have been great if he had played more of the music from the two CDs. But, what most people who have nothing but praise can't understand is that, at the end of the day, he could have done a better job at incorporating us, his fans into what he doing. Not make you wait for something subpar. And yes he does owe us something-and that is crank out the best damn music possible and not takes us for granted. But, it will continue to go on because of people who feel he can do no wrong and he walks on water. But, fail to dig his character. Seriously, the man is wealthy and still finds it hard to pay his bills and lastly because I could go on for ever, he pays his staff peanuts and expects macadamia's in return. Please don't get me worng I love the man's music, I wouldn't have got through my teens and to where I am now if it were not for him selling his talent to the highest bidder. But, don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining-no pun intended. IF LOVE WAS A DRUG WOULD YOU OVERDOSE?

After I got my copy of PlectrumElectrum, I presumed the title cut was spliced between 2 performances. Only half that Madison video was released and I thought it started where it started. The full video now shows it was all one take....that surprised me...I don't why it did or why I presumed it was separate performances. I swore I even tought I could tell where the splice happed. The fool am I.

Well said 7teenz! Some act as though we should be grateful because we were getting a free concert, not true! Prince was promoting his new CDs, something he was paid millions to do! He wasn't giving us anything, and anyone that's buying his CDs is only getting what they pay for.

LOL, guilty here!
I think the host put me off and threw the vibe off with me.
But I admit, it was free and it made me want to visit Paisley Park and get a real tour of the studio.

I think its equally an asset and a deficit... but the myriad of musicality Prince is involved in always astounds me. Aside from all of this events shortcomings, the above was a clear takeaway and I think a bit overlooked. Aside from his recording...all the other stuff he's involved in...from NPGQ to Kendrick Lamar(2 vastly seperste branches of a tree) was given time to shine. This kind of thing is what I most like about prince. Despite my own mood....he'll usually have summin going on to address it.

Well for me and other long time Prince fans the Yahoo thing was nothing out of the ordinary in Prince world. I saw nothing other than business as usual for today's Prince.
The girl was pretty and amiable, and the people behind the scenes also perfectly amiable. We have long listened to stories from the likes of Alan Leeds and others about the behind the scenes goings on where less than capable people are given favor by Prince for various reasons. You can hear it on the records, see it the album covers, his websites, promotions etc all the way around. In a way its charming, in a way it's frustrating see unfold, but that's Prince. I would love it if he hired and surrounded himself with really talented people behind the scenes as most successful people do, but Prince does alright even handicapped.. So I don't get people flipping their lid lol, just another day as a Prince spectator. Actually really funny if anything. [Edited 10/1/14 8:35am]

Honestly, I found the facebook thousands of questions asked by fans, but Prince only answered one question: HILARIOUS!!!
I found the live stream with the super-bored audience, so he cut the show super short: HILARIOUS!
I found this forum page with folks actually arguing with other members for stating the obvious about this "free concert/listening party": HILARIOUS!!
LOL, I'm sorry, but this is just comedy gold! It was so ackwardly awesome! The article from Billboard was honest, because it did have some highs (the Kendrick Lamar performance with Prince on "What's My Name" and the two unreleased songs "X's Face" and "Revelation" was great to witness!
The cringe-worthy stuff was plentyful....I don't think I need 2 mention them, because it's already been brilliantly pointed out already by others in this thread.
My personal opinion is this: Prince gives zero *ucks about what others (especially his fans) thinks. He's gonna do what he wants, how he wants, and as often as he wants. There isn't a damn thing any of us can do about it. This is what it's like being a Prince fan. You can let it upset you, or you can give zero *ucks like Prince. I'm on the give zero *ucks camp. Life is too short. Have fun peeps!

Honestly I could handle the hostess. Yeah she didn't know her stuff but she worked well with what she had (which was probably very little indeed, as per usual in Prince world) I thought the tour was great, the murals and accolades, outtakes and more (anyone see the Purple Rain bike near the soundstage?) [Edited 10/1/14 8:15am] I got two sides... and they're both friends.
