Sounds exactly like a typical org debate.

The new unreleased song, "Revelation" reminds me of a modern version of Scandalous (which is a very good thing). Excess Face remind me of...man, a mixture of Get Loose and 200 Balloons. I'm hyped for those song...whenever they're released.

Prince hates us. I can think of no other logical explanation for what I saw.

This is why I love this man, 2 Cracking new albums to promote and he does nothing of the sort! Each time he pulls something like this it gets funnier and funnier.

Should of been 3 songs from the new albums. That would have made sense. But whatevs.

Worth it for: acoustic song, Revelation(?), The Ex's Face(?). I would buy all 3 of these tracks right this second... if they were for sale.

I'm glad I wasn't reading this thread while watching. Yes, the host was annoying, but for the most part I enjoyed watching it - I could have done without the wardrobe part. I was glad to hear the 3 new songs. And they did promote the album outside of the short concert.

Yeah I don't wanna be negative like most seem here about it but if its sugar its sugar and if its shit its shit. That was so disappointing and yeah Yahoo did try to make it seem or advertise it as a concert. It was overall LAME and a BIG letdown.

Some of you are just never happy, this was free, Prince didn't have to play live for us, he didn't have to give us a sneak peak of a bunch of new songs, he didn't have to give us a tour of Paisley Park, but he did decide to do all that, not for himself, but for all the fans, and yeah, some promotion. Not sure what some of you expected from this, I thoroughly enjoyed what was streamed tonight.

What there is to be dissappointed about is a mystery to me. Sure he could have played longer, but you know what? He could have decided never to take the stage, or, just not streamed this event at all.

Gotta say I thoroughly enjoyed the live stream Listening Party for AOA & PE. Watched it live then again in replay. Very cool seeing the studio where so many songs were made (since ’88? Historical!), getting to know Trevor and Joshua, sitting down to chat with Liv and hearing Prince talkin’ all casual and dreamy-like on the phone.... Sorry, what was I talking about?

Oh, right--Paisley Park. I loved the virtual tour! Maya was not the wisest choice to play host to an audience of long-time fans, but I commend her for handling all that pressure with grace. Dr. Funkenberry would have been my choice for his extensive knowledge of all things Prince (though he wouldn’t have looked nearly as cute in a mini ). The corridor of photos and awards up on the walls was a visual time capsule I got to to walk through and relive moments of that magical, neverending journey of falling in love with Prince’s music.

Speaking of MUSIC--what was the accoustic song they were doing? Prince done went an' got his Country on and I ain't mad at him for it. My fingers are crossed in the hope he has the good sense to release it as a B-side for PE.

“The Excess Space” (?) is HOT... Damn near sent me into another dimension. And “Revelation” all but melted me. Sounded crazy good. So seductive and sultry. And his singing on that track is just unbelievable. If there is any justice in the world, these will be issued forthwith as B-sides for AOA.

And we got a free concert session! That was awesome. “What’s My Name” was a welcome surprise. The PE songs made for great concert material with their high-octane energy.

The listening party was so much fun. I’m watching it again tomorrow. An all-around wonderful night with Prince rocking it out in fine form with 3rdEyeGirl.
