Well, I had the benefit of watching the replay after seeing the comments here, so was expecting it to be utterly, utterly shit. As a result my expectations were so low that I actually anjoyed it.

Enought has been said about the host, how terrible! Wasn't keen on the NPGQ bit or the rapper on what's my name. Not sure about the new songs yet, wonder if we'll ever get to hear them in full?

PRINCE SOUNDS BETTER WITH A BIGGER BAND! Always has. The band he had for the Musicology tour and the one he took to the O2 in 2007. That's the sort of standard you expect when you think of Prince.

even it was free...... it was still crap....... it wasn't good promotion for the album.

I've come to expect a high degree of whining on this site. Some of the main posters are schizophrenic in their posts withing a 24 hour period. Praising on one thread and chastising on another. The fact that they have so much time in a day to be on here speaks for itself (but that's none of my business).

If Prince invited someone out for a simple cup of coffee from this site they'd be expecting a 3 hour concert with Sheila E as the opening act then an afterjam at a club and truly feel they were entitled to just that.

I'm sure they people who actually attended last night had fun and enjoyed the vibe. Lucky them for getting to hang out at Paisley on a CD release night.

just watched this ... omg .. so many people trying to look happy and enthusiastic .. is this prince world .. his own band was cringing the entire interview .. that is until they stopped talking about prince and started talking about clothes .. then they actually seemed happy to be alive for a brief moment .. until they hit the stage with a thud a few minutes later .. aside from the boring ass sax playing and mediocre music in general, NPGQ seems like a better band for prince by far .. prince could just handle the guitar duties .. hire maceo parker or eric leeds .. john blackwell is still a great drummer ... boring ass music tho ... the girl hosting was awful and fake .. talk about artificial .. prince looked completely unimpressed with his girl band .. the rapper was horrible .. for once hannah wasn't the worst player on stage .. donna took that one tonight .. why does he let her play guitar? .. even prince is a better guitar player even tho he plays the same exact solo on every song .. pretzelbodylogic has to be right up there with purple and gold as prince worse song ever .. the guy looks like sly stone aka looks like a crackhead .. i don't see how music this shitty gets featured on Live Nation Yahoo .. i mean, shouldn't the music be kind of good and at least a little popular .. how many sales did pretzel get? 23? 24? can't be much more than that .. prince could have done a spot on version of Way Back Home or Time and it would have slayed .. and it is probably what yahoo was giving prince the platform .. is P unhappy already and ready to bite the hand that feeds right out the gate?
