Its funny how anytime someone doesnt like a song or video they are told to leave? because they dont appreciate the artist, WTF is that about? there is stuff i dont like or arent nuts about for all artists that have actually had a career, im not even going to mention the numerous times i have liked stuff of his and people hated it here, its up to the person. To me this song overall is just nothing special, not saying that everything he does has to be special, but its boring to me, i listened to it a few times and i find myself skipping to other songs, case closed.

It IS possible to express dislike for a track or project without "HATE & NEGATIVITY", just like it's possible to like something without attacking those that disagree.

Prince performed live numerous times this year.

Prince released a handful of songs & videos

that were only avaiable thru the internet.

Prince paid for one fan to see him in concert.

Prince signed up with another record distributor.

I wouldn't call that a big year.

For the casual fan Prince is hardly on the radar this year.

For the rabid fan that hangs on the internet & downloads everything available

& got to see him in concert it has been a good year.

I only downloaded songs he made available on Amazon so I basically

got a Prince ep out of this year.

That's not what I call a big year.

I'm still waiting for the year to go BIG!!!

Things look promising to me but it hasn't gone big yet.

I agree, and all i was pointing out which as you said GOT LOST, was that we will always disagree on what we like and so called "masterpieces", art is what it is, everyone sees it different. From the moment this song came out i just felt it wasnt for me, im not crazy about the Prince type jams like this i feel like he has done it so many times before, it just seems a bit more "off" now that he is 55, and the thing is that Prince is a totally different artist on stage then on record especially in the last 15 years or so where he almost never plays his new music on stage, the one exception was when he played alot of "rainbow children" on that tour. As for it being a big year, again subjective to what you want, yes he did alot of stuff and put things out there, and im not complaining, some of it i liked and some of it bored me. As for the other things about his kingdom that kind of scares me, Prince has opened alot to his fans in the past though it seemed to be forgotten in this thread

Yes, that was the name of the website that pitted fans against each other. The main culprit being OpnMind IIRC, but there were plenty of others aiding and abetting. Go search the NPG2000 chat logs in a.m.p for some examples, or search for Opnmind... The entire history of L4OA is full of stories of people lying and backstabbing each other.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the one fan that really got a special treatment from Prince: Mani. Ya know, the one who became one of his wifes.

Why bother making remix EPs anyways? Even when the original song would be an epic track, not many people are actually interested in 6 different versions of one song. Who would buy Beethoven's 5th-and-3-quarters remix EP?

While we wait for the coming investigation on all of Prince's alleged crimes against humanity, this a)light, b)tongue in cheek, c)irony-laced little songuette got a remix treatment that was a)fun enough, b) varied enough and c) playful enough for said little, light, tongue in cheek mini-song.

If you're in the mood for a little musical bonbon, buy it. If only an EP that rivals the best Paisley Park B sides will satisfy you, don't. Look at the cover art and decide for yourself what time it is.
