One year from now some org people will be complaining

that 2014 wasn't a big year and questioning is Prince

Yes I agree, 2009 was a big year cuz he released Lotusflow3r which was in my opinion the best album since TRC. It could have been even bigger if he had made a proper world tour that year and promote the album a little bit more. Lotusflow3r was an album that deserved a proper release therefore I was skeptic to Prince releasing it only through Target stores in the US and then in France as the only EU country but I guess Prince had problems finding a real record deal cuz he had burned every bridges, thats also why 20ten ended up beeing released through news papers and why we havent seen any new album in over 3 years now. If it wasn't 4 Kobalt then I don't think we would have seen any new album in the near future cuz we all know how determined Prince can be. To realease an album through his new website seems not to be an option these days cuz he would only make small profit out of it since only hardcore fans would buy it. Anyway I hope Prince will take the opportunity and try 2 make 2014 a big year since its the 30th anniversary of purple rain

2013 has been a big year in many aspects. Last (and only) time P released that much material was 2001. Check the list, it's pretty impressive: https://sites.google.com/...raphy/2013

I think the past few years were all big, but I think he just wants to make sure the new album gets proper promotion. People have new music, but you know the art of the hustle musicians have to do, to get more than the hardcore fans buying what he's putting out.

We've heard about him going on Arsenio, but you saw what happened with George Lopez.... he'll prob. go on Ellen again. The View still has Sheri on the show, so he might pay his girl another visit.

I think Dave Chappelle AND Fred Armisen should be in a P video next year...dressed up as Prince of course.

Prince has 2 think of a masterplan to slay Beyonce in 2014! He can do it! She learned from Prince how to 2 slay after he CHRISTENED her!!!! Prince just finished filming his mega guest appearance on "NewGirl" last night. The plan has started!!

2013 was a Prince disaster. Crappy songs and weak instrumentals.

Great with the rehearsals, downlaodable songs, a tour ... but the abscence of an album does put the whole year in a bit of a minor key.

2014 could be a big year for Prince if he does these things....

Release a Purple Rain 2-CD Deluxe Edition fillled with outtakes,12" versions,etc.

Add additional footage and re-release the Purple Rain movie to select movie theatres.

to me,these things would be more exciting than a new album!

My ideal Prince 2014: A good album (ideally with some public interest), a lengthy tour and an outtake collection album.
