Given the passion in these 500+ posts, I had to give this another listen. It isn't exactly crap; it just isn't Prince--not even remotely. And it's interesting because one of the attributes I love about Prince is his ability to excel in any musical genre. I just really think this was a total miss. Prince should have left his vocals off of this one. To me, it sounds like it should just feature female vocalists. I don't know...it's just an awful attempt at crappy pop music in my opinion. And perhaps this is not meant to be a "Prince" song, but a 3rd Eye Girl song. I'll take that. Either way, it wouldn't be on any of my playlists. I wouldn't like this one regardless of who's singing it. I'm so glad I was able to download it for free while it was available.

Liv Warfield wrote the lyrics. She's been in the NPG and has toured with him for years, along with Shelby J and Elisa Fiorillo.

She released an album of her own called "Embrace Me" before she joined the band, and quietly released a single last year called "Freedom" - very powerful song, worth checking out - http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/livwarfield12

I believe she's working on a solo album now, so hopefully we'll see some more new stuff from her soon.

The Live out Loud video is out? I didn't even know, I can't f w/ it, I just wasn't sold on the song. Maybe the rumor is true that Prince is behind one of these bootleg labels. If it is true, he circumvents the cost of the middle man. Maybe that is what Tony M does, he supplies the streets w/ the bootlegs.
