Hi all!

I havent been around here, in like, forever!

Life is very busy at the moment...... I have bitten the bullet, and I am attending University!!!!

anyhoo, in my study skills class we have to give a talk on a subject, any subject, and i have chosen P.

I am restricted to 5-8 mins (eek!) and so have decided to do my talk about Purple Rain....as this is the general response when u mention P to non- fans.

sooooo, do any orgers have any vivid memories, from back in the day....... did u get to see his concert live, were u in the crowd at seventh ave...... news articles on tipper gores crusade lol!!

any pics of promo stuff, (tix stubbs etc) i can use in my power point.....

I was crazy in love with a guy.

And he was a big fan of Prince.

So, we watched the video's of Prince his concerts a lot. Just being good friends.

Because I was 13 and way to scared to tell him I was in love with him.

I got over the guy, however, I did not get over Prince. I became a fan untill today (26 years later)

I got attached to Prince his voice and recognise his music at the first note.

During rough times I fall back to listening to his music or watch concerts.

It just soothes me.

And I still adore a lot of his lyrics and agree with him on many subjects.

Even a lot of his spiritual references.

Well wasn't around wen it was released. However, ive showed 2 friends the movie and both friends like the movie thats as far as i think they would be willing to go. loved the music. Kinda cool to see somebody doing a presentation on purple rain but it would be more intresting if it was actually one of the other movies cause they are more underground.

The other day I read the book "Music on Film: Purple Rain" and it was ok.

You can get it on Amazon for a few bucks and it came the next day with

Prime.

Where did you see that they asked about the tour? They wanted info about

the movies. Cute, but not helpful.
