Definately - I was blown away with the poor quality boots, even more so with the more recent pro audio. But dvd! Just wow!!!!

I mean, I remember watching the 'LRC' , 'ILUBIDTUA', 'Peach' and 'WILMHOU' pro shots when P put em out there - but BOTH concerts!!!!

I am by no means a 'Prince can do no wrong' kinda fan but Montreux 2009 has beeen on heavy rotation in my house and in my car for 2 years! This is gonna be the icing on the cake for me.

I'm almost done watching the first show of this release. Personally I do not see what the major fuss is about over these shows, however, they are what they are, and fans of this era will love it.

Quality is as you would expect if these had been released officially, it's a pity about the "Montreux Jazz Festival" logo in the top left of the screen, it's quite large, but after a while you forget it's there.

Nice release, I have yet to see the second show, but overall it's nice to have these shows on dvd.

For me it's also all about the music, but in some specific cases -and Lovesexy is the perfect example- the visual side of the show is ALSO stunning.

In other words: I do remember the whole audio & video from the Dortmund Lovesexy show (the broadcasted one I mean) by memory; and I enjoy both a lot.

Showmanship is not a factor to consider, for me.

I'd rather have a musician get rid of theatricals and do what he must do: good music.

SOTT and Lovesexy feature Prince at his best but I prefer a 'we're mainly musicians' attitude like that on the ONA Tour even if the music was better in 87/88.

ok now i'm really excited - obviously some of y'all have your copies so only matter of time before uploads appear in the usual places

No costume changes, no crazy lights, only guitar, bass, drums and two keyboards. No cushioning effects on the vocals like echoes or deep reverb. No dancing. It's all about the music with the shows he put on at this festival. But he definitely gives the audience the "Prince" treatment.

I think it's definitely spreading as a bootleg dvd.

Holy shit, the quality on this is amazing. I hope more proshot dvds of this quality are to come.

Pro shot Empty Room is worth the wait alone. Spectacular!

And may I just say...

Someone should please tell me when dvd 2 is out and about. Show one is amazing, aside from a few songs where I have to hit the skip button.
