Prince Avoids Foreclosure by Paying Mortgage in Full

*A rep for Prince has confirmed the singer has avoided foreclosure on his Minnesota estate by paying off his mortgage bill in full, reports the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

The artist owns 20 acres of land in Chanhassen, Minnesota, where one of his many homes once stood before it was torn down in 2005.

The property reportedly fell into foreclosure after he allegedly failed to keep up with mortgage payments and the local Carver County Sheriff’s Office scheduled an auction to sell it off to pay the alleged $368,000 mortgage bill, according to the Star Tribune.

A foreclosure notice is said to have been posted in a local newspaper. But a rep for Prince says steps have been taken to resolve the situation, telling the Star Tribune a “payment has been made” to the bank for the full amount “about four or five days ago.”

In this case the media appears to have left out that the mortgage was paid 4 days ago and if you had a lick of sense or read a newspaper you would know not to believe anything coming from the banks these days when it comes to the mortgage mess. People have paid their mortgages and still lost their homes so P is not any different than anyone else and deserves to be defended in this case.

Uhhh, there are massive fees and penalties added when someone doesn't pay their mortgage or their taxes. Municipalities and lenders will make a nice profit of this blunder. So in the end, Prince pays more, how is that a win for him?

Did it ever occur to you that P just does not give a shit about the fees or penalties if he cared why would he pay these types of bills late all the time. I think some of you think the millionaires fuction like the working and middle class. Newsflash they do not.

So explain, how is paying extra in late fees and penalties "winning"? All those extra hours covered chasing the funds, Prince pays for so he isn't "giving it to the man" as some have argued. Cause in the end, he paid it all.

If you think it is funny that P doesn't pay the taxes that make your environment nicer, be my guest.

Manager types are not necessary here.

Just someone with knowledge and insight in the areas required and a way of bringing those to P's attention at a convenient time.

Understand this: if Larry is knowing about all of this and not doing anything about it he is corrupt.

One our government can't pay their own damn bills, so for them to tax the hell out of others who make a lot of money, just so they can fix their mistakes is just a damn shame. At the same time, they are throwing away money to fix other countries when we need a fix our damn selves. I have been having someone professional do my taxes for years. I see the tax cuts yes... however, they are still taxing the hell out of me and I don't get it all back either. But that's really not the subject at hand. He paid...nuff said.

You honestly believe that individuals are basing wheter or not to go to a concert or buy a CD on if Prince is paying his bills on time! It's a trivial issue in comparison to what other artists subject the public to. He's not being arrested and fingerprinted or facing criminal charges like a lot of todays top entertainers often do. These are financial matters nothing more or less. It's not like he made a video of himself pissing on a 14 year old or beat the shit out of his girlfriend.

Well we now can all rest easy, because he has paid off his mortgage bill in full!

He had actually moved to pay it four or five days ago, and everything is now in the clear!
