First of all the late Lefteye is not a bird..Second of all that wasn't her house, it was her boyfriends, after they had a big argument, she tossed some flammable sneakers that wasn't her size(she thought they were 4 one of his women) in his tub which ended up burning the house down. Third of all, its Prince house so he can do whatever he wants with it... GET IT RIGHT! [Flame snip - luv4u]

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

You obviously don't know what sycophant means.

Also, you imply that I am constantly defending Prince.

Nice grade-school comeback, though.

Sycophant

self-seeking, servile flatterer; fawning parasite

You are implying that anyone that defends prince is some mindless person fawning over him which is total bullshit. P gets plenty of critisim on this board

You are one of the parasites on this board that feeds off of anything negative that the media puts out about P.

You are not a servile flatterer but a constant bitcher just because P does have fans.

Oh the shock and horror that a guy with a 3O plus years in music has fans.

In this case the media appears to have left out that the mortgage was paid 4 days ago and if you had a lick of sense or read a newspaper you would know not to believe anything coming from the banks these days when it comes to the mortgage mess. People have paid their mortgages and still lost their homes so P is not any different than anyone else and deserves to be defended in this case.

The so-called Sycophants on this board are fans because this is after all a fan board. I just wanted to inform you of that since you seem to be a bit slow.

Naw. I didn't say anything negative about Prince, just about his fans who will defend any of his actions, even when he's in the wrong. Calm down. Don't act like you know me. I've always defended Prince's recent music and have only recently had a few qualms with his performances (though the setlists from LA and reports indicate that he is doing well in that regard).

So again, stop acting like you know me when I barely even post here. You've made a lot of baseless claims about me and that's uncalled for.

He better pony up, or Mani might end up owning that land anyway. lol

I'm thinking maybe her or his other ex is the one that owns it. NOT PRINCE....anyway....

His name is on the deed. Legally, he owns it.

What person, close to Prince, has already explained to him that his financial behaviour, is wasteful, disrespectful, bad for his public image, etc?

You honestly believe that individuals are basing wheter or not to go to a concert or buy a CD on if Prince is paying his bills on time! It's a trivial issue in comparison to what other artists subject the public to. He's not being arrested and fingerprinted or facing criminal charges like a lot of todays top entertainers often do. These are financial matters nothing more or less. It's not like he made a video of himself pissing on a 14 year old or beat the shit out of his girlfriend.

Simplifying stuff like you do allways helps.

Of course teh state the world is in clearly shows howw much the average (even non) american thinks about norms and values.

The fatc that he is not fingerprinted says nothing. Only the cattle gets fingerprinted, this is just a 'minor' financial hiccup. The fact that he paid the mortgage in full afterwards means that his financials are a big mess.

If that is his lifestyle he is either a little more schizophrenic than thought before in more ways than one. How can you present shows like he does and have messy financials? (in the practical sense)

How can you present shows like he does and have messy financials? (in the moral sense)

How can you present shows like he does and have messy financials? (in the lazy sense)

Why can't he hire an ccountant that can keep watch over his money?

It's a simplified topic from the get go.

If he lost the property would it affect the music?

If he keeps the property would it affect the music?

Would I have not attended 3 concerts recently if I knew he was bad with money?

Fact facts the average person doesn't care about when/if Prince pays his bills.

The fans of the music don't care either. They're in LA now jamming with him foreclosed upon or not!

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

you're right, it would affect the music. but most people might not realise that peoples work is affected by mood, and shitty stuff like this would be a downer, and it would affect people doing any job, but moreso as a performer. in saying that, some of the best music is made when people are depressed, but typically the live performances suffer as a result. so whether people are aware of the situation or not, it has a big effect

Prince Avoids Foreclosure by Paying Mortgage in Full

\

*A rep for Prince has confirmed the singer has avoided foreclosure on his Minnesota estate by paying off his mortgage bill in full, reports the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

The artist owns 20 acres of land in Chanhassen, Minnesota, where one of his many homes once stood before it was torn down in 2005.

The property reportedly fell into foreclosure after he allegedly failed to keep up with mortgage payments and the local Carver County Sheriff’s Office scheduled an auction to sell it off to pay the alleged $368,000 mortgage bill, according to the Star Tribune.

A foreclosure notice is said to have been posted in a local newspaper. But a rep for Prince says steps have been taken to resolve the situation, telling the Star Tribune a “payment has been made” to the bank for the full amount “about four or five days ago.”

Prince is making them work hard for his dime... so what they pave a few roads to get to his house... taxes are a bitch... And they are working overtime to do all this extra paperwork to forclose his property... just for him to turn around and pay up.... funny.... Make em work for it Prince!!!!

Uhhh, there are massive fees and penalties added when someone doesn't pay their mortgage or their taxes. Municipalities and lenders will make a nice profit of this blunder. So in the end, Prince pays more, how is that a win for him?

Did it ever occur to you that P just does not give a shit about the fees or penalties if he cared why would he pay these types of bills late all the time. I think some of you think the millionaires fuction like the working and middle class. Newsflash they do not.

So explain, how is paying extra in late fees and penalties "winning"? All those extra hours covered chasing the funds, Prince pays for so he isn't "giving it to the man" as some have argued. Cause in the end, he. paid. it. all.

Sure, but if he were not so private about his life we would have more context.

He might have good reasons so get a mortgage on empty land in teh first place, then forget about it and then pay the mortgae in full all of a sudden when he is danger of being foreclosed upon.

Same weirdness with his courtcases, lawyer bills, etc.

If you just can think about the now at a concert, then that is all good and it is your restrition.

But 'when will we be paid' will sound a tad different to me ever since the Croke Park case and all semi-related happenings like e.g. the Geneva promotor case where his cheap ass selected an unreliable business partner that befrauded the fans.

All of this fits in the same scheme of things like e.g. the Montreux DVD; even before the performances it was weird, during the performances it was weird and afterwards the weirdness continued. All of this could have been a lot different with a few words spoken by him.

But het chose not to and now he hides behind false excuses like 'contractual blabla'.

Yes, it gets that far.

Prince is a musician. Not my business partner. If I buy a concert ticket and it gets cancelled then tough, it happens. Everyone acts like Prince is some sort of God who is supposed to be better than any other artist living or dead. He can't contradict himself, he can't make mistakes, he can't be a human being. The second he slips up the ORG accountants, lawyers and psychiatrists all rear their heads and give him unsolicited advice on how to manage his life. He's been at this for 30 years and still going strong. I have nothing to tell the man but thank you.

Yes, keep defending him. Keep on avoiding reality.

By now an adult person could have foudn out their weak points and could have started compensating by having others do certain tasks.

The choice P made was essentially bad as it wa sthe cheapest one, the most unrelaiable one. Costing fans money and also -if I read acorrectly- bringing trouble for the ticket agency involved.

All because P did not go with an established quality name. because of the money he doesn't use to pay his bills or only until just before it is too late.

If he had a small team of people taking care of his estate, with enough financial resources to do so, the whole problem would be gone.

All bills would be paid in time, lost court cases would be paid, lawers would be paid, etc, etc.

All this tells that this rosy situation is not the current reality at Paisley Park.

There are either not enough people or they do not have the mandate to spend money.

And that is wastefull.

Let him ask Larry about this.

part of the problem is that Prince talks smack about things then when he does things like this he is gonna get it right back. It's like going on and on about "the man" but then acting like "the man". You can't have it both ways.

The question is why does it matter to someone who is merely buying a CD or a concert ticket? Also whos reality am I avoiding because I have a roof over my head regardless of Princes business practices. It's not about defending him it's simply about the fact that it has no critical consequences on me and my life. I just want

I thought that was clear. Didn't we pay attention the past few years? We're the fans, not the fams!

There was a time that mr P referred to himself as 'mr Number One at the Bank', referring to his well earning endeavours.

Looking at his track record and asking price for shows (~1.5M USD) he should not be doing too badly in the current time.

There was (is?) a time that mr P was under the influence of mr L. Graham, who explained him about his views of the Bible.

Every now and then mr P preaches a bit (or more) about his religious views during live concerts.

Combining this info you can find sitiuations in the recent history where mr P said A but he is currently doing B. He has the money, yet he doesn't pay. He mentions norms and/or values yet doesn't act like he knows them.

If you truly believe and act like it that these situations have no effect on your perceptions then I assume you will vote mr Barry Soetero into his second term.

I mean, you still have a roof, right? You still have a life.

If you truly believe and act like it that these situations have no effect on your perceptions then I assume you will vote mr Barry Soetero into his second term.

I mean, you still have a roof, right? You still have a life.

He's human ppl. You can't honestly sit here and tell me that every musician has their shit together. So what he doesn't pay his bills. At least we're not hearing about him being charged for rape or child molestation or public intox. No one is perfect. So you can believe that fairytale if you want to.

The question is why does it matter to someone who is merely buying a CD or a concert ticket? Also whos reality am I avoiding because I have a roof over my head regardless of Princes business practices. It's not about defending him it's simply about the fact that it has no critical consequences on me and my life. I just want
Prince to make more music and tour when it suits him until he no longer cares to do so.

Outside of the Org nobody cares about Prince and his personal practices. They just go to his concerts to have a great time regardless of what he does or does not do moreso because it really does not have a bearing on a fan's life. They just want the music and the experience.

I have nothing to tell the man but thank you.

part of the problem is that Prince talks smack about things then when he does things like this he is gonna get it right back. It's like going on and on about "the man" but then acting like "the man". You can't have it both ways.

I see your point but hypocritical thinking and actions are not a trait exclusive to Prince. It's applicable to most of humanity. Holding him to a higher standard because he can play a guitar and sing a killer falsetto is ridiculous.

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

Sure, but this is public business. Your property is foreclosed on and put up for auction, it's in your local newspaper too.

But it hasn't been foreclosed on yet talk to the hand

once it's up for a sheriff sale, it's public business. it was. it's since been removed from the auction block, but that was before the information, which is public record, was released.

Just because its public record doesn't make it any of our business. Are we paying for it? No.

And don't say that we are paying for it either, just because we are going to his concerts and paying for his albums. That's our choice. But we're not writing a check for his mortgage, so its really none of our business what he does with his money. Its not yours or my issue.

In instances like this, [Prince is] treated just like everyone else. If he doesn't like that, he should pay what he owes on time, it's as simple as that.

But... but, he's Prince!
