He really needs to get his affairs in order. I really think he doesn't hire good people around him to take care of his business dealings. Man he needs a calendar, an organized individual and a momma rolled up into one. If he could only find a nice woman out there-one that wasn't after his money and fame but a real honest down to earth woman that loved him unconditionally who was able to help him run things right. Pay the bills-keep up with his needs...I'm volunteering right now! biggrin Prince-I'll take care of you!

Why is this still open and stickified when the issue has already been resolved?

Yeah, a lot of people think that the Reagan years were so awesome economically, when we had a lot higher tax rates then.

What I don't get is...why is there still a mortgage that big on property he's owned for...geez...at least 25 years? He must've borrowed against it more recently. hmmm

He better pony up, or Mani might end up owning that land anyway. lol

actually it's simple economic sense to buy expense properties like that with mortages. you will actually find that most celebs with massive mansions have the properties mortaged. the finances the artists earn can be used as cashflow for other more profitable investments

Some examples of Prince's more profitable investments:

1. Paying any amount of money to have Tony M in the band made Prince a hip-hop legend, and many rappers say listening to Tony M is even more important than getting tattoos.

2. Paying to film over 100 videos costing anywhere from $50,000 to 1 Million, and then never releasing the videos. The part about never releasing the videos you spent millions of dollars on is a secret investment strategy that has got to have made him tons of extra money.

3. Spending money on a website that costs fans $77 to join, and then pulling the plug on it not long after launching as a way to build his relationship with his fans.

4. Placing 77 tracks on 20Ten to make fun of the fans who threw away $77 on the website as a way to make even more money. This funny joke made his relationship with his fans even better. The fact that 20Ten wasn't released in his home country made his fans in the USA love him even more.

5. Releasing a Patriotic song like Lavaux on 20Ten to solidify his love of right wing Republicans and Tea Party members. Nothing like lyrics like this: Life back home depresses me, just another form of slavery. (Having the freedom to not pay your taxes has to be the absolute worst way to live. I can't imagine the torture of this.)

all looks a bit complicated.. stuuf like this goes right over my head, but am i right in thinking prince has got a mortgage? wtf!

Remember, this is the same guy who RENTED a house from Basketball Player Carlos Boozer. At the time, Boozer had maybe earned 33 million total in his career playing baseketball. I would bet the five dollars I have made in my life that Boozer managed his finances better than Prince. Funny how Prince would have to rent a house from a 25 year old(at the time) athlete.

"Is anyone pregnant yet?" - Prince 3.26.11

You mean 3-21, 3-23, 3-24, 3-26, 3-28, 3-30, and probably every other concert. Prince follows a script. I have followed a few other artists around, and many others do the same thing, but some of them try to make each show different by saying something different at each show.

U2 is my second favorite, and Bono has a few standard statements as well. Guess that's the way it is.

Yes, keep defending him. Keep on avoiding reality.

By now an adult person could have foudn out their weak points and could have started compensating by having others do certain tasks.

The choice P made was essentially bad as it wa sthe cheapest one, the most unrelaiable one. Costing fans money and also -if I read acorrectly- bringing trouble for the ticket agency involved.

All because P did not go with an established quality name. because of the money he doesn't use to pay his bills or only until just before it is too late.

If he had a small team of people taking care of his estate, with enough financial resources to do so, the whole problem would be gone.

All bills would be paid in time, lost court cases would be paid, lawers would be paid, etc, etc.

All this tells that this rosy situation is not the current reality at Paisley Park.

There are either not enough people or they do not have the mandate to spend money.

And that is wastefull.

Let him ask Larry about this.

The question is why does it matter to someone who is merely buying a CD or a concert ticket? Also whos reality am I avoiding because I have a roof over my head regardless of Princes business practices. It's not about defending him it's simply about the fact that it has no critical consequences on me and my life. I just want
Prince to make more music and tour when it suits him until he no longer cares to do so.

It matters because he makes so much of the "cause" the subject matter of his music, the text of his speeches or rants or interviews. It matters because he is a hypocrite in what he does and what he says is being done to him. It matters because he thinks he is above law and at times God.

It matters because it makes his music illegitimate, insincere and diluted.

It matters because he spends more energy on quieting the bad press than working on his music. How do I know? I don't but I figured thats why most of his new stuff sounds like crap. IMO.

And this is what he owes for PP...

$230,852.00

This is freaking ridiculous! I see why he is so pissed bout paying anything in that state. I've heard alot of people complain about how high the taxes are in Minnesota. I'd be fuming too, I hate just paying the taxes on my places and its 100x less than this. Taxes suck!

But the high taxes are what keep it so pretty and clean in our fair state:) Trust me, I grew up in a lower tax state and you can visibly see the difference...
