Awesome, that way the CC company has to try and recover the funds. Yeesh, I'd feel sorry for anyone who wrote a check, hopefully not too many would do that nowadays.

I just got my refund from Meridian Entertainment. So I won't need to file a dispute. party Hope things work out for the other ticketholders too.

thumbs up!

Why do they call this a 'charity' event?

Did you do teh math on the ticket sales?

Minus cost of artists?

What remains is ...?

This kind of stuff happens all the time in the non-profit world. It’s very easy to avoid scrutiny of all manner of profitable, and sometimes unethical, activities by operating as a non-profit. If you think this whole mess is bad start reading up on the “charities” operated by members of Congress who use their foundations as a way of accepting bribes.

?

Not so clear what you are saying there.

The organisers knew very well what they were doing.

And still it was called a 'charity' event.

I guess we see some deception here as in a charity event typically people do not get paid, or at least not so much.

1.5M USD sounds quite typical for P.

Can we declare peak-charity after this tragic superbowl incident?
Of course the sums asked for tickets were 'normal' but perhaps not so anymore.
