The ebony magazine cover/photo is very beautiful with a very nice message. There is an "open door" with a heavenly light passing through it...like a clean slate to eternity.
You just have to look past the obvious to get to the other side of your eyes. Look within the orb...*wink*. You never know, who has been looking at you already.

those photos are horrible. The make up and the photoshop are not necessary. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"

Fruit Loops have jacked the thread, but it has nothing to do with Prince's picture. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

True. But it does look like he is possibly standing in front of a fixture that may be the symbol in that pic. [Edited 6/3/10 19:15pm]

You gotta love the indoctrination of the US public: asking critical questions = hit piece.
Because everything is hunky dory. I mean, it's not like his latest website was a massive failure. Or that his recent music is so bad even Prince can't be arsed to promote it. © Bart Van Hemelen

Like I said, IT'S EBONY MAGAZINE, which is a cultural/pop type of mag, it's not Newsweek.
As usual though, you throw out the red herrings...

Now defunct UK monthly The Face was also about music, style, culture,... Didn't stop them from publishing interesting, critical interviews and articles. They also interviewed Prince during his two-day Emancipation blab-fest at Paisley Park in 1996, for the same amount of time as dozens of other mags, yet somehow they managed to see right through Prince's PR-speak and printed an awe-inspiring article (in January 1997, IIRC).
Then again, this is Ebony, a magazine that AFAIK never published anything noteworthy. So of course they get to interview Prince. (Weren't they the mag that sent a young, inexperienced female intern to interview Prince a couple of years ago, because Prince demanded he'd only be interviewed by a young black woman?)
Oh yeah, and Newsweek was the magazine that Prince talked to for Lotusflow3r -- didn't see much critical notes there either.
There once was a time when magazines weren't afraid of their celebrity subjects -- before Tina Brown's reign at Vanity Fair ruined this. © Bart Van Hemelen

Yeah, kind of. I always wanted her to perform her damn songs live with Prince or band because I was thinking she is his protogé and WANT to make music! Then I had the idea of Bria is "just" his girl an she is happy without the singing what now seems to be the right thought!

Now I'm hoping I don't get into trouble for this but I believe the interview covers Prince's new attitude to life now he is in his fifties -
showing his OUTRAGE at UK chocolate makers Cadburys selling to new owners - "They have sold their souls, they better not be messing with my Dairy Milk or Lord help them, my Twirl. They would see an angry Prince"
REVEALING he already has a new web presence but that he isn't going to reveal the address to fans, media or even the web developers which may lead to difficulties
ANNOUNCING he has recorded a new double album including a vault duet previously recorded with Michael Jackson - "I have played the album to my close friends and even my critics and they say it is by far, the best thing I have ever done. Naturally, I won't be releasing it, it's back to the vaults. You cannot hear it, you wouldn't enjoy it on as many levels as me. In fact, I will have it on my iPod none stop, you've got Purple and Gold, what more do you want?"
that his new album that will see the light of day whilst bound to be panned by so-called fans will be RELEASED free with boxes of Corn Flakes. "Cereal is the new media. I look at corn flakes and see funk." The CD will be in a little plastic bag alongside a toy of poor quality.
