The very next Ebony that hits the newsstands will be the Prince issue. It's the July issue, but will be out next week in the US.

If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Yikes...

Who are u refering to?

I personally love the cover pic and can't wait to get my hands on it!

But i don't think theres that many bad comments its more of people knowing what Prince can be like when it comes to interviews hes not very open generally so there not expecting much. But people are entitled to the opinions, dont get me wrong theres a lot of things i dont like reading or seeing stuff esp with people that seem to be quite angry towards Prince at times and at other orgers, but thats the internet for u, u've gotta let it go over ur head, if u really dislike something just report it to the mods.

As far as the failed website if P is not worried about why are you worried about. He had a business failure he has moved so should you.

First off Laura, don't be glib. You gotta snap out of that nonsense. It's making you look confused. You're not confused are you?

You have no idea what anyone knows about Black America, or not. Don't start pulling the race card, or some "you don't know the fight, man!" argument. If you don't want to be treated like a victim, stop fucking acting like one. Let's not even go any further down that road, because it'll all be the same stuff we know already.

Perhaps someone should let you know that it's no big surprise that any magazine is having financial problems these days. People are saving their money, and the luxury of a magazine subscription isn't in everyone's cards. So....DUH on that one.

I'm glad you're "sure" Prince is "just trying to help them out", but I could bet your monthly yak's hair weave allowance that you're dead wrong. Prince isn't out to doing charity work for Ebony magazine. I honestly don't know where Prince fans come up with "I bet he did ________ because ________" nonsense sometimes. Really, Laura? Helping Ebony out? REALLY? Selling one month's issue isn't going to pull the magazine out of the hole they're in, not even if Mr. Nelson is on the cover, airbrushed within an inch of his bad hip.

It's fans with blinders on, like yourself, that allow Prince to continually make bad business moves; you're his dupe - in the worst way possible. "Oh well, he tried, bless his heart. What is the next scam website I can join?"

damn. it seems like every other thread i visit, there you are, correcting people

or putting them in their place (well in your mind anyway).

always telling people who comment on something you say that they are stupid,

can't read or just 'don't get it'.

"go back and read", "i did not say that at all" blahblah

the whole world doesn't revolve around you or what you think/believe to be true.

if anyone should go back and read your posts, it's you. give it a rest already.

I like the pic of Prince on Ebony. I am certainly looking forward to reading the interview. Imho I think it will be quite similar to the article done on Alicia Keys(Nov. 2007 issue) and Sade(April 2010)...focusing solely on Lifestyle, Romance, Upcoming music, and Religion. If someone has the Alicia Keys issue you can get a pretty good clue as to the direction the interviewer is going....all with no doubt Prince controlling the questions and answers ( that would have been the only way in which he would even allow

such an interview in the first place.

Frankly, I don't know what everyone is going on and on about. IMO, the Prince interview will probably be no different than other Prince interviews. Prince will still probably talk in circles and codes that only he understands, saying things we've probably already heard from him before, like complaining about the internet and record companies, being a Jehovah's witness, etc. I'm sorry if I offend some of you, but face it, the man seems to be still living in the 80's. Just look at the cover, it's the same ole Prince of old! The man is almost 52, yet on the cover, he has the same jet black hair, not a wrinkle to be seen, and the same smirk on his face that he's worn for years, not to mention the clothes that he's known for. Nothing ever changes with him, so what could Ebony tell us that we possibly don't already know already? Come on, Prince even has the same taste in women that he's always had, it's like they all come off an assembly line made exclusively by and for Prince. I'm telling you, if there's something different in this issue of Ebony that will surprise us, I will be shocked, but somehow, I doubt it.

More bullshit from Ernest!!! I know Bart is clueless about black America from his endless b.s. post over the years. I can assure you this dude has no fucking clue.

The only victims are all us orgers who have to put up with your post.

I am not going to go into Ebony and their problems which despite your stupid comment some of the mags problems do have something do with it being a black publication along with the economy. You see you can use this thing called Goggle to find out this information. I never said he was doing anything for charity you said that. P gets publicity and the mag gets some sales. I did not say the interview would pull the mag out of financial despair. Try working on your reading comprehension skills while you tighten up your weave girlfriend.

Give a shit about what in particular? Mj's anniversary? Purple Rain anniversary?

I hope to God no one turns this into MJ vs Prince thread. It's so retarded. It balks of people not having the good sense to come up with something interesting to say.

I can't see the 26th anniversary of PR being anything relevant. 20, yes. 25, of course. 26? Eh, not so much. The real opportunities have passed for him to do anything interesting or noteworthy regarding a benchmark anniversary for that (or any previous album/project).

For me, I don't care about the anniversary of Purple Rain. What does it mean? 26 years is a lot time, and he's put out even better music. Prince was Prince well before that idea was ever born in his head, filmed, edited, and put in theaters.

I don't remember anyone hootin' and hollarin' about the anniversary of For You, Controversy, or 1999. (This is actually 30 years since Dirty Mind, which was actually recorded in May-June of 1980, and released in October.)

the only one hyped is you? I was only asking a question LOL

Again the ego of some of the so-called "fans" on this site is funny lol , They a small bunch who hog the threads with their comments think that they have brainwashed all the posters on the org lol

Yet Prince keeps selling millions ....that's right millions of records each year .... what does that tell you!

Try working on your reading comprehension skills while you tighten up your weave girlfriend.

tighten up your weave girlfriend .....now that's funny:lol: lol lol

2. So? Already debunked.

3. I don't need to be a mindreader, I just need to look at the facts: has Prince played his latest music live in concert? NOPE. Hence: can't be arsed to promote it. Why? You do the math.

4. No he isn't. Prince left the building in early 1996.

5. But you do know what he's thinking, I guess?

No.4 is a very funny point, that means you been hanging around slagging him off since 1996, don't you like other artist, can't you join another fan's website, madonna etc......why u still hanging around here..lol

Really should only post on pre-1996 threads lol

That's lie too and you are saying if Prince is viewing you are calling him old. I'm younger than Prince thats bad business. Ilove you

Maybe. But comparatively, when most other major artists like him have a magazine special like this coming out, their fan sites are overwhelmingly loaded with glee and optimism. It's not like that here, at least not anymore. That just has to say something about him as well. shrug

Again the ego of some of the so-called "fans" on this site is funny lol , They a small bunch who hog the threads with their comments think that they have brainwashed all the posters on the org lol

Yet Prince keeps selling millions ....that's right millions of records each year .... what does that tell you!

His fan base is larger than just a few former 80's fans that hog the boards around here! And stamp out by multiple posts of negative stuff masked as "humour" the voices of real princes fans who like his work - like Lotusflow3r, Planet Earth and 3121:-D

Alright. bored
