I love the ornery lil' cuss to bits. I'm delighted with his natural look and I'm sure he'll be back on his game soon. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

Unknown And no I am not posting the link coz true Prince fans sites don't want the "negative orgers" contaminating their page. Thanks for posting the songs from that show, although we know it wasn't really an aftershow, it sure was nice watching Prince and his singers jam with that house band. [Edited 5/8/10 12:04pm]

Very unusual Prince show. Very jazzy vibe, the drums sounded different, no guitar solos. Could somebody give more info about it?

What show are you talking about? The Time 100 gala which there hasn't been any clips shown here of it or the 10-15 minute jam Prince did with the houseband at the Village Underground, which was not an aftershow.

He does look a bit older with the shorter do.

the underground show looks like a rehearsal jam, sort of low key/understated but he looked so cute & gave the crowd a smile, he was having fun & wasn't humpy in the least!

Thanks for posting the setlist for the show formerly known as the aftershow. It's greatly appreciated. It's interesting to hear him use I'll Never Be Another Fool. He seems to be digging in the crates when it comes to his live show lately. When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

I was talking about the ´aftershow´
1. Taking Over The Stage - Capture The Music 2. I Feel For You 3. Controversy 4. I'll Never Be Another Fool- Prince left during this 5. Shelby J Song 6. Unknown I am curious about some details. For example, there is a jazzy guitar on track 6. It wasnt Prince, right? And the intro (track 1) is very interesting. Is it a Prince arrangement, or basically the band jamming? It wasnt the NPG, right? Btw, I couldnt read this entire thread but what was the Time mag show setlist? He played the Model C at that show or at the ´aftershow´? [Edited 5/8/10 11:43am]

The more I look at the pictures, the better he looks. We all have different looks, depending on our energy levels, health, and emotional state. Let's just be happy our man is still out there, rocking an audience. I wish I had been there. I totally missed it. "It's hard 4 me 2 say what's right when all I want to do is wrong..."

Agree. His hair looks nice like that and during the Village Underground show when it was aired live, he looked pretty content. When he did "Controversy" I like how he and the band slowed it down instrumentally, towards the end and it sounded like they went into another song. I have to say though, Shelby J, Liz and Elisa, sound great together, as they harmonize very well. [Edited 5/8/10 12:35pm]

Sorry Gustavo, can't answer that. I think it would be best answered by someone who is a musician/guitarist that can tell the difference. But if you're talking about the part near the end of Controversy, where it segways into a guitar instrumental solo, before Liv starts singing "I'll Never Be Another Fool" from what I saw online the same night the show aired live, that was Prince. Hope someone who was actually there can answer that other question for you. singer's name correction edit [Edited 5/9/10 15:10pm]

This man looks incredibly good. I think Prince the popstar is over and that is not at all a negative thing. Prince should be allowed to just exist and not prove. I understand that we all want our favourite artist to keep proving everything else to be crap but it can't be so. This man has nothing left to prove so let's celebrate that. He has essentially turned in to a musician and let him enjoy that. You, We, I can argue that Prince sees himself as more than this so should be judge but again I would argue that even Prince is a consumer of his past and present and he too should enjoy. Prince has contributed sooo much we and he should let it be.
Bless you Prince and stop trying so hard. You have done more than enough. xx

Prince performed at the same place of the Time party? Was it after the Time show? Some people said he jammed with the ´house band´, so it wasnt the NPG, right? And they still knew some not so famous Prince songs, like ´I will never be another fool?´. And I was referring to the jazzy guitar in the very last jam (instrumental, no title, after ´I will never be another fool´). Prince was already gone, right?

And I was referring to the jazzy guitar in the very last jam (instrumental, no title, after ´I will never be another fool´). Prince was already gone, right? The Time 100 event was held at Lincoln Center in NYC. The jam (or as some referred to as an aftershow) was held after the Time 100 gala event, at a club in Manhattan, NY called the "Village Underground", which is part of another club. No the "house band" was not the NPG, it was the band scheduled to play at the Village Underground club that night. I have no idea what the name of that band is called. The 3 singers Shelby J, Liv and Elisa, are the same singers that performed with Prince in Paris. "I will never be another fool" was sung by Liv, and accompanied by Shelby J and Elisa, in which I found out from another orger here, is a "Chaka Khan" song from one of her latest albums. The house band performed with Prince when Prince got up on stage, and they backed up his singers, Shelby J, Liv and Elisa when they were on stage as well. Yes the house band did some Prince songs, before they introduced Prince and his singers. He also spoke of his appreciation of Prince for his contribution to music, and was very excited and happy and announced that Prince "was in the house". The house band male singer did a snippet of "Kiss" and a sample of a few other Prince songs, when Prince and his singers weren't on stage, and I believe even after Prince left the stage. Prince did play his guitar when Liv, accompanied by Shelby J and Elisa were singing "I will never be another fool", but he only stayed up there for about 4 or 5 minutes into that song, then he left the stage. Prince was not on stage after that "jazzy" instrumental you keep referring to was played, after the singers sang "I will never be another fool". That's my take from watching it online when it aired live from the Village Underground. I hope I answered all your questions...thoroughly. (singer's name edit) [Edited 5/9/10 15:13pm]

So do most of your posts. Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.
