Okay. So, I watched the show last night streaming (from Village Underground.) I agree with the one negative review. I don't know about his "bald spot" or how "frail" he looked, but the show was absolutely terrible. The synth was bad, Prince came across as a jerk with his back to the crowd. It just didn't sound good.

It's cool that he gave an unannounced "free" show, but it just really was not a good performance. Hopefully the Time Gala performance was better.

The aging process seems to confuse some folks on this site. For a man whose gonna be 52 in a couple of months, he looks damn good to me. Since Prince is so private about his personal life, it's unlikely he's gonna share any health problems.
But the fact that he doesn't look as "fresh" as he did 20 years ago isn't a health issue, it's aging. Happens to all of us, if we're lucky.
Can't we just celebrate the fact that he is still alive and kicking and not six feet under?

At the same time -- I think Prince looks absolutely great for his age. I like his hair style, it's much more relaxed and slightly "natural" looking than what he's had going on for a while. I'm also glad to see him in the "unflattering" light a bit. He looks real, and he still looks fine. P is getting older, but he's still got it. smile

Right?

For people who are 50-ish, tired is a way of life. I don't care who you are.

That's relative. To some, he still looks younger than his age. To others, he looks "about normal." To the rest, he looks way older than 51. The only thing that can distort an opinion about these particular photos is that blue lighting, like Genesia said. But still, everyone has a different subjective view of what 50-60 years old should look like. Sorry.

Ah, perfectly said.

I can't comment on it at the moment as i haven't heard it but, as shygirl said, i'm thankful he's still delivering and is healthy.

Can someone please provide a set list? I'm reading 11 pages of people talking about how he looked with nothing about the show. He's 52 years old. I can't believe Prince played two shows last night in N.Y. and not one person has posted the setlist, but hundreds of people want to talk about his makeup.

I know you're talking about so-called "haters," but you do know that positive comments are "judgments" too, right? lol So are we not supposed to comment about anything regarding this man at all? I mean, you know, since we can't "judge" anything in anyway, lol.

I wasn't referring to people who think he looks tired. I'm talking about the one's who scrutinize his face to death and see sickness and disease at every turn. I'm talking about the ones who see wrinkles and baldness and bags under the eyes as a reason to panic.
I know Prince is a fashion icon and we all criticize/praise his style. I also know it's not just us, but the the media has a fixation with youth and plastic surgery and physical appearance. But I pray he chooses to age naturally and not go the MJ or Heidi Montag route. I'll say it again: I celebrate the fact that he's still alive and kicking. Continuing to be brilliant, sub-par, cranky, frustrating, amazing, infuriating, confusing, beautiful, tired, short, mind-blowing, aging, musician, alive, PRINCE.

I don't think P has had any enhancements past the photo shops work we've seen currently and in the past.

Ha! You lot do make me chuckle.

He's 51 for goodness sake!! He looks his age, and that's about it. If he's still putting the hours in that he always has, the tiredness probably shows more these days.

Is it really worth fighting about!!?

Peace... lol

Seriously, I have been a Prince fan since I was 9 and I am almost 40 now and it still amazes me how some of his fans can be so touchy and mean. Prince is a human being and yes he can look tired and yes he does get sick! I know some refuse to believe he is just a man lol Some Prince fans really scare me eek
