Wow, late to the party here (I actually had my posts on the now "disappeared" thread - nice to see this new one grow to 11 pages. Woot!). Have had this boot for a week now and what can I say that hasn't already been said? It is stunning to me that we are still finding low generation tapes like this out there in the wild, and big respect to FBG for getting this out there...

This boot has been in HIGH rotation, and it's still going strong. There are so many highlights, but I would have to go with "Wonderful Ass" as being my fav, w/ a shout to "All Day, All Night", if only because I have never heard that track so clearly before.

Many many thanks for those involved for making this available... I can tell a lot of love and care went in to this release and for that you have our gratitude!

Just a thought but box o' chocolates normally have 2 layers.

Maybe, lets hope and pray a second layer will soon come out.

To bigd74 (and whoever else is interested) Alex was a leader in a subgenre called "Power Pop", which, in spite of the moniker, has became sort of an undergroundish rock sound in the US since the 70s. Alex was an inovator and was a hell of a song writer on top of it. If you appreciate well crafted guitar driven music w/ a strong melodies and harmonies, his stuff is impossible not to love. The musical world got a little poorer when he passed.

Thank you to all of you who take the time to put this together and more importantly then make every effort to share this. It really is appreciated by this Prince fan.

Personal highlight is Witness 4 The Prosecution. It sounds so much better than I have ever heard and that's just in mp3 format.
