This may be a joke to some of you, but we're putting these threads up here FOR YOU at our own peril.

If the things we have to do to keep this site here and running for you are a joke, then post about it somewhere else. Don't ruin this thread.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

I don't notice much of a difference either between the two versions. Maybe someone else can fill us in?

Im starting to question the values of all these boots....i feel that many of them are copies from previous boots. I'm not saying that's the case with this one...
But I now have 4 versions of Movie star, and they all sound the same to me.

How about a boot of truly unreleased material...

I know that some people out there still have some (if not many) 80's songs that aren't circulating, but i guess they would have shared them by now. They probably won't ever do it out of respect for Prince, so it's very unlikely that we get more material until Prince decides to open his vault again...

Plus, you have a perfect released version on Crystal Ball smile

The nice thing is I can finally delete the 17 "almost-there" versions of "Wonderful Ass" that I've been hoarding since the Jewel Box days.

I'm still 'almost there' with Wonderful Ass but I don't know that I need to chase down an upgrade.

That's the tiny bit of hope I'm holding out for. Last year it was hinted at that 10 albums of unreleased stuff was being put together from the vault. Now I know how fickle Prince is and knew it'd never happen... But if it was being worked on, there's that tiny chance that it could fall into the wrong (or right depending on your perspective) hands.

The hardest thing in talking about this release is trying not to use profanity.

Holeeeee sheeeeeii*****t

See what I mean? I mean, really. I grabbed this and it's going to make it tough for me to sleep tonight. Wonderful Ass is just amazing. As is All Day All Night. The sound quality is startling and I'm sure I'm damaging my eardrums as I type this.

The whole "Crucial suite" - Girl O My Dreams/Cant Stop/We Can Funk is amazing to hear in this quality. I do miss the reverb in the mix that's on the Crucial version of these tracks, and the backmask reverb on Prince's vocal on We Can Funk. This is no complaint though. This is just amazing....

Holeeeee sheeeeeii*****t

Sorry for swearing.

The only complaint I have is that the old shitty 4 record vinyl Crown Jewels bootleg I have seamlessly mixed "Movie Star" into "A Place in Heaven". After the chick says "What's the biggest like you has ever been in?" the beat to a "A Place in Heaven would start with Prince asking if she likes environmental records. Now Prince repeats the whole "So do you like environmental records?" twice... confused

Otherwise...It's great to have these songs that's I've had for years sounding this great! music

I'm not sure if i get you right, but this is a completely FREE release - you shouldn't pay for it!!

And on a sidenote: As far as people think there are too many boots out there and "feel that many of them are copies from previous boots" - this one clearly states (and you can hear it of course) that it is sourced from newly discovered TAPES and not from some other bootleg. This is exactly what makes this one so very special!

Fantastic release. Amazing sound and very professionally assembled overall.
(Plus as a bonus - real nice artwork, which is rare for boots even if the actual music is good).

One thing that comes to mind... This release makes you wonder if there's more to come from the same sources who supplied these new master tapes. What if we have even more classic bootleg tracks coming up in this near-perfect crisp sound quality...

It would be fantastic if it happened, and if there is more out there, hopefully the glowing reviews for this will help speed up any releases... I'm just gonna enjoy Box o Chocolates and keep my fingers crossed for more in the future, but try not to get my hopes up! wink

This bootleg is the bomb... Not only is the music great but the artwork is pretty bad-ass as well.

One thing I wanna bring up.... Maybe I'm wrong, but how far-fetched is it to think that alot of these bootlegs are made available by Prince himself?
I mean all of a sudden, out of nowhere, these tracks appear in high quality with great artwork and easy to find (when the Prince police is usually right on top of things).

When you think about it, this would be a great way for Prince to release tracks/albums for free which keeps fans interested in him and gets a buzz going and he doesn't have to do any distribution deals or anything to release it... PLUS he never has to promote it and he never has to do any intreviews for it and he can release his older tunes that is more sexual and not have to answer to it in terms of his current religous beliefs.

And I also don't understand why even after something like this gets released, people still want Prince to "release them" on cd????? It's already available .
And the quality is pretty damn good. And it makes it almost cooler that it's an underground thing, where only if you are in the know and actively looking for it will you find it.

And regarding the whole "Prince being behind it" thing... Just look at all the dvd concert bootleg shows out there... I can find all of his dvd bootlegs extremely easily online. They've been at one particular place forever and they haven't been taken down... To be able to amass such a collection is not easy at all... Could I be wrong? Maybe....But I think it's very possible, maybe even likely that Prince could be behind a lot of this.

If that's the case... THANK YOU PRINCE. Hope he keeps releasing gems like this, I dig it. I'm sure some of you will disagree with me but that's my take on it. Of course he coulda just released it on Lotusflower.com.... Hmmm..
