Ernest, your posts are mostly factually correct, but "Darling Nikki" was Prince alone, utilizing overdubs. Prost! I have no idea what all that means. I'm just telling you what I remember hearing, which makes me think "Nikki" was a band recording. I believe the version I'm thinking of is on 30 Years of Unreleased Funk, but it could be The Work. | |
