We are past the point of wondering whether Prince has a right to do certain things, we are wondering SHOULD he do certain things. Just because one can do something doesn't always mean they should. This baby thing may be one of those things, even if the mother ultimately doesn't win the case. Like it was said before, sometimes it's about the treatment of humanity, even if legally he has a right to do it. I can continue to enjoy the things I like about Prince and visit this site, but I do not have to continue to invest my money. I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin. | |

Let's get this in perspective here: don't let a baby cloud your vision for heavens sakes. The mother is at fault:
This lady was shooting a home movie of her kid dancing to his music, she has every right to shoot the movie, but putting it on Youtube, where it is visible to millions of viewers is a mistake she made. She does not own copyrights to the music and so she cannot shoot the "video" and have it out for distribution on Youtube using someone's music. That is what this boils down to.(for whatever benefit it may give her, work, money, fame, notoriety, baby modelling portfolio etc). Why do you think companies pay millions of dollars to use a song to sell their products?? Prince is right in defending his work !!!! Question it? He created the song, he has a right to it's distribution. So he asked her through his reps to take it down. Now she should have removed it without a word and left it at that. No, she is countersuing? For what? Fame, money? She might get the sympathy from the public for the baby's innocence but she is the problem here not Prince. Forget it! The way I see it she won't win. She does not own the copyrights to the song for it's distribution as a video. | |

I've been trying to avoid all this Prince vs. the internet vs. his fans stuff but when I heard this on the radio this morning I just had to say "DAMN PRINCE! You are really out of control right now!!" I try to defend him and justify his actions, but if something is stupid and petty it's just stupid and petty!
I mean, I hate to imagine that this is him personally conducting this webhunt, but I really don't know.
