[Edited 7/6/07 11:06am] It's not just the comments about singing that trips me out, but a damn rapper couldn't play a damn instrument to save his life. Whether Prince has a voice or not, if "music" ever came back, a rapper would come far closer to McDonald's than Prince because they can't play a damn instrument. Since they are so good at pushing buttons on a computer to make their music, they should be real good at pushing the timer buttons on the french fry machines.  Andy is a four letter word. | |

Prince isn't a great singer. that is true. he isn't. that doesn't mean he isn't great.
but the guy is giving Prince props and you imbeciles still can't see the forest through the trees. any hint of Prince not being applauded 100 percent and you fools have a reptilian response to just attack and criticize, and a complete inability to actually analyze what was actually said. Thank U for your translation of "rapper-ese", but your presentation just then left a LOT to be desired. I actually got Li'l Wayne's point... That rapper came off rude, disrespectful and out-of-line, props or no props. Wrong. Rick James said some horrible things about Prince for decades and I had absolutely no problem with Rick at all because he was a very talented artist just like Prince. However, a no talent shit hopper that not only can't sing, but can't play any instruments, or make anything past a boring ass stripped down midtempo "song"....and then has the nerve to say anything negative about any artist, not just Prince...yeah, I have have a problem with that. Shit hop trash should never be in the "music business" anyway. If the shit they make is considered "poetry", then they need to go write some damn poetry books and let the musicians make the "music". I love Prince´s music, and I love rap...good rap...I grew up listening to rap...but this fool Lil Wayne is not just a fucking fool, he´s also one of the worst commercially succesful rappers ever. His style is annoying and even makes me aggressive, I could beat the shit out of him for days just for his annoying rap flow alone. Anytime I hear his ugly voice as a fucking "featuring artist" on some song on the radio, I have to hurry up and turn the volume down, that´s how annoying he is. He can bitch about Prince as much as he wants but his "song" Diamonds and Girls, and I use the term song generously here, is a travesty.
