We don't really give a rat's ass about what he thinks. He needs to crawl back into the rat hole he came out of and you can go right along with him.

The only think I have to say about P's singing is "Adore"

apparently you do, you have taken the time and trouble to comment on his opinion. that equates to caring as far as I am concerned. nobody asked for your opinion in this matter, so why did you volunteer it. don't be a hypocrite. if you should only speek about something when asked, shouldn't you keep your mouth shut as well.

He didn't say Prince isn't a great singer. He said Prince can't sing. That shit is false. He may not rank as one of the best singers, but you can't just deny his ability like Wayne did.

it's called context. I can't sing a lick, but I am certain he didn't mean Prince can't sing like I can't sing. if I say Stephon Marbury can't play ball, do I mean that an NBA basketball player can't play ball like I can't play, or is it in context to other NBA basketball players. obviously it is the latter, just like Prince can't sing is in context to crooners who can. taking it to the absolute like you have is either dishonest or simply shows your inability to understand the dynamics and meaning of what people say, which was my argument in my very first post to begin with. this hasn't been a popular position, but are you dishonest or ignorant?[/quote]

Don't edit me
I admitted Prince isn't a great singer. I'm not subjective about prince's ability. I'm a musician and I can't sing worth shit. I understand what his point was, but to say '...hey lady you're really working it for an ugly girl...'is disrespectful.

This is just a prime example how some of todays artist have no respect and their big heads are fed bullshit after 2-3 albums, they think their gods gift to music. I loved Lil Waynes delivery in the beginning of his career, then he started making homophobic statements and that turned me off, now recently I've given his music another chance, but now I am DONE!

His ugly skeleton looking gold teeth, bad breathe, troll self needs to shut up!
He just won a BET award and he hasn't come close to the fame and success of Prince and perhaps never will.

He's a lame and he's tired, GO SCREW YOURSELF WAYNE. Your music sucks as bad as you do with your mentor/play house father.

Shut up you ugly skeleton with dredlocks!!!
You stink and so does your music!!!

This reads to me as nothing but a statement meant to be insulting. The point is so blantantly basic, that even a non-musical/artistic person such as myself knows that having a unique sound to standout is crucial to success. So, what pearl of wisdom did 'Lil Wayne drop?

I am not telling you not to post, I was simply introducing you to the repercussions of your own position. remember, it was YOUR position, not mine, that somebody shouldn't speak on a subject unless they are asked to. well, if that is what you believe, than the same applies to YOU, not just Lil' Wayne. doing otherwise makes you a hypocrite. so, simply admit, you are a hypocrite.

that was a pretty easily understood argument of mine, so not only are you a hypocrite but you also posess pretty poor comprehension abilities, resulting in ignorant responses -- ignorant becvause you don't understand what is being said so you lack the education (or information in this matter) of what is actually being discussed. I am all for you ppsting whatever you want, and Lil' Wayne saying whatever he wants. feel free, I have never said otherwise. you have.

here is my 2 cents in all this.. you can agree or disagree with me. I see so many people in this forum always making fun of other musicians like justin, and lil wayne and im sure there has been many before that. What I dont get is if we are fans of prince and his music shouldnt it be a GOOD thing that other people have found prince and his music as a influence to there own music? even if they are not as good as or like him why do we have to knock them down? Prince's music touched them somehow and maybe even made them want to be in the music biz. I think we should feel happy that he touched them somehow. If prince didnt touch someone with his lyrics then he wouldnt be doing it. So maybe they are not as good as you think prince is but im sure they have some talent otherwise you wouldnt know who they are.

Lil Wayne is a 2cent crack addict. Like many others in the genre his music is nothing more than a friggin kick drum with swears on the top of it. It makes money because somewhere along the way that became "music"...its not its crap and does nothing to boost or enlighten anyone. Hes a waste of friggin sperm and at the end of the day I take comfort in knowing his music will be forgotten and what he stands for.

My two cents:

1. I can't stop laughing.
2. Big ups to whomever manages him for making a Prince iPod and recognizing Lil Wayne needed to hear it
3. Still laughing
4. Rappers are not musicians IMHO but they are artists. They do create a message

any hint of Prince not being applauded 100 percent and you fools have a reptilian response to just attack and criticize, and a complete inability to actually analyze what was actually said. I always thought Prince fans were rather ignorant and self applauding, but now I see you lack not only the intelligence to comprehend anything more complex than "Prince is the best, yer yer," but have the inability to actually stop and think and simply live your life through knee jerk responses, like a reptile, to the first thought that comes to mind.

Wrong. Rick James said some horrible things about Prince for decades and I had absolutely no problem with Rick at all because he was a very talented artist just like Prince.

However, a no talent shit hopper that not only can't sing, but can't play any instruments, or make anything past a boring ass stripped down midtempo "song"....and then has the nerve to say anything negative about any artist, not just Prince...yeah, I have have a problem with that. Shit hop trash should never be in the "music business" anyway. If the shit they make is considered "poetry", then they need to go write some damn poetry books and let the musicians make the "music".

Actually I have seen Lil' Wayne play a few notes on guitar in one of his videos. But that shit could never compare to what Prince can play.

Or me!!! cool guitar

Hahahahahahahahahaha!!! I swear sometimes I come back just to see the fights that go on this site. Lil Wayne thinks that Prince can't sing. Has he heard Adore,Question of U and International Lover? When he can get onstage and put on a show that doesn't consist of him just marching back and forth across the stage with the dancers doing most of the work then I will listen to him. And the use of that one word, just has to stop. And my Grandson is a big fan of this clown but not me. But I wish him a successful career but he needs to respect his elder even though I think he thought what he said was a compliment. Go to school and education.
