That's pretty cool to hear that he won the Golden Globe. I don't keep up much with tv and commercial crap. This is the first that I have heard of the award or the song. Golden Globe and the Super Bowl. "The boy's good!"

I was thinking the same thing about 8 pages ago. Plus the fact that Timberpuss was all up Prince's butt during the 3121 celeb parties ripping off whatever ideas he could.

According to the globe after party reports his ex girlfriend humiliated him in front of everybody that night so that's some karma right there.

1) I believe that, deep inside, he knows he is talented, but he won´t be in Prince´s level.

2) I read an interview where John Blackwell said he is a very nice person (for my surprise). So, I believe the ´short´ joke was something in a good humour vein, not necessarily something nasty...

Well, let's see if he gets the nomination for the Oscar for "Song of the Heart". I believe it's tomorrow 1/23, they are suppose to announce who gets the nominations for Oscars. Good Luck to him.

Y'know, I really don't think Prince really cared. If he did, he wouldn't have kept open JT's invite to after-show party Prince hosted at the Four Seasons that night.
Considering the little remarks back and forth between them over the last year, they're probably good friends. After all, does anyone remember how Prince and Morris Day made fun of each on their respective tours back in 85 - 86? Morris used to drop one-liners about Prince just like in Purple Rain, and Prince used to throw it right back during the "Hit and Run" Tour. A great example was on Sheila E's concert video from the Romance 1600 tour. Prince appears on stage for the 2nd encore and both the Revolution and Sheila's band go through "A Love Bizarre". I'm getting chills remembering it!
Anyway, at one point Prince asks Jerome, Wally and Greg Brooks about this new dance "Oak Tree" (Morris' new single at the time), they make complete fun of it and decide to chop it down to make a "wooden leg" out of it. "Wooden leg" was the dance step Prince does in the "Kiss" video when he says "I think I wanna dance".
Everyone was going berserk thinking there was still some serious hate between Prince and Morris from their falling out after Purple Rain. Truth was they'd long since patched things up, and were just playing around.

Eye was so xtatically happy when he won that eye almost fell of my seat!!! Yes! And even more surprised 2 have found out that he showed up late...stuck in traffic... Congrats 2 our hero!!! And eye noticed he wore no shades
