Ah, the irony--Prince should be accepting Justin's awards!
Apparently Justin must feel good to think he's feuding with Prince. I doubt Prince is even aware. I admit Justin's dig was kind of amusing, but what's the point? Prince was being honored. It's inappropriate and not very insightful, and not too classy. I'm surprised he didn't break out into Dick In A Box. At least when Nelly accepted for Prince he said "OWAHHH!!" And saying he's short, stealing his band, emulating his style, attempting to make fun of him in print doesn't make him an artist. He really should recognize that while he might be really popular, but he's simply not an artist, and like you say, he'll never be on Prince's level. An intelligent star like him would respect Prince for his own good. Maybe he thinks beef is the way to respectability, and he doesn't want to pick on anyone bigger. I think what Tiberfake did last night was disgusting. Do you think he would have made that same gesture if Paul Simon had won the award? It was just classless on his part. The guy is just an overrated artist. Take away the million dollar producers and he’s nothing more than a marketable version of Jon B. His betrayal of Janet from the Super bowl was the last straw for me. We’re talking about the same guy who rants about his drug use in a magazine article weeks before his new cd drops. Coincidence? I saw him on the Golden Globes sitting by the "Dreamgirls" table. He was wearing yellow. Why JT accepted the award was beyond me. Maybe he had to leave or go to the bathroom. Or maybe it was just drama to get us talking. If so, it is working. | |
