Prince needs to have chitlin breathe.

I never intended on this post being about American Idol the show. Personally I think the show is kind of lame and cheesy. The point I was trying to make is that 30 million music fans watch this show every week and it would have helped
Prince's new album sales big time if he would have went on the show. He can't get that knid of exposer for his new album anywhere else. He could do every talk show on earth and it probably wouldn't reach out to that many music fans all at once,like it would on AI.

but he refused because he's above talking to somebody trying to make it into the buisness. It's sad,it really is. He just caused himself about 100,000 albums sold.

In fact, Star Search was really bad, atleast one or two of those folks on Idol can sing no matter how chessy. star search had juggling dogs on it.

Well I like for my entertainers to be stuck up with a bitchy "I'm better than you" attitude. That's part of what makes them larger than life and helps to keep them from being an "average down to earth Joe". There's too much "realness" these days and if I want to see an average person, I will look out the window at the people walking down the street.

Why on earth should he be condemned for not wanting to appear on the Show? These "Pop Idol" shows are an insult to real musicians who struggled their way to success only to be blindsided by someone with the talent of Kermit the Frog without his puppeteer !!

The only entertainment value these programs have are the applicants during auditions.....Otherwise it is like watching a Junior High Talent Contest !!

That may seem harsh, but these shows are being force fed to the public so much now it is boring. Furthermore, the only real winners from these shows are the Record Companies, after all they aren't doing it for free are they.

If you think the American Idol is lame and cheesy and you still think Prince should be on it just to sell more albums, kinda seems like you're the a**hole.
And if you think he's above working with someone beneath his talent, may I remind you of the 2004 Grammys. He didn't seem to have a problem sharing the stage with Beyonce.
The ironic thing about all this is if he did decide to do AI, you'd probably call him a sell out for stooping so low.
If Prince does do the show, I hope he just performs because most of these people on it are horrible. He can show them what a real performer looks like then exit stage left.

People who think Prince has too much musical integrity to do American Idol have very short memories. Prince is not above whoring music to get something he wants. Remember these geniuses...









Where the fuck was their talent???? He had NO respect for music if he could get himself laid. He's supposed to be all about schooling kids to 'real' music...the show is sooooo played out but the idea that Prince is above it is just bullshit.
