New topic PrintableHell of a lot better than Musicology's piss-poor art. This is quite good, especially if they don't write anything over the top.

javed said: WOW that is awful. What statement does this make?. This makes the Musicology cover look like Sgt Pepper!!!!. It's cheap looking, unimaginative and whatever else you choose!.
Well, considering the fact that the Sgt Pepper cover looks like a floral shop exploded next to a toy store, I'd say that's a good thing.

Album covers are still very important to me!
The visual album art gives the album a whole atmosphere. I think a very bad album cover can kill a very good album!

Very good. Should match the music, the album cover art is always a giveaway what's inside. That just happens to be the case.

NIN had one for its last album. prince has one for 3121. it's still visuals, it's still art. however you want to define it, the visuals still accompany the music.

I am digging this cover. I hope this is in a jewel case and not that cardboard shit we've been getting for the last 5 years.
I don't remember what digipak is. Is it like the Musicology cover? I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Thats a bad cover! "Man, the living creature, the creating individual, is always more important than any established style or system" - Bruce Lee

Musicology wasnt all that bad you know...I mean, damn ya'll. "3121" is simplistic. His hair reminds me of the "New Funk" era. Cant wait 4 the album ta droooop. &

can't a man take a leak in peace? For reals. I saw an old kung-fu movie where this guy was taking a leak. He told his friend; "dont stare...you'll put me out!"

Not bad. Much better than Musicology. I like the direction they are going, but the picture feels a little unbalanced. The hand area and the shadow from the face seem awkward. It's a nice effect though with the silhouette.
