i wouldn't read too much into the missy lyric - after all, he mentioned missy in "the marrying kind", so the whole thing just seemed like a couple of friendly namechecks. i'd imagine that the people who dissed prince back in the '80s are probably singing a different song about him today, with the possible exception of sinead. | |

Actually Boy George had a HUGE crush on Prince in the mid=eighties. He mentioned it over and over again in his biography. I think he mentioned giving a wolf whistle to Prince once and Prince just turnned around and sneered at him. | |

I've never heard Pink say she disliked Prince...but I do remember reading a interview where Andre 3000 was saying he was trying 2 get her in2 Prince b/c she was in2 80's music, but she wasn't into/that fimilar with Prince's music | |
