Missy disses him in a song.

Yet she constantly praises him in interviews. How bizarre! Could it be that this was not a diss at all but a namecheck?

many of the people mentioned here got where they are in part because they are talented. and by and large, talent recognises talent, which it is why it is hard to find a celeb who doesn't like prince.

Slash of Guns N Roses---he was pissed because, when he saw Prince backstage at the American Music Awards in 1990,Prince just walked on by with his entourage and didn't say anything."I didn't really care.He looked like a fag that night anyway",Slash said.

Yeah,I remember those comments.Rick also got pissed when Prince showed up at one of his concerts in 1983,trying to steal attention away from The Mary Jane Girls."I don't mind",James said."Princess obviously came to learn from a pro".

If he really didn't care, he wouldn't mention the incident at all. He would just move on. The very fact that he has to talk about would suggest that it did indeed affect him

Yeah,I agree. He obviously wanted to hang out with Prince, but when Prince ignored him,it must have hurt his pride a little, lol. Thus,he felt the need to trash Prince in an interview.

STING. he once said in an interview that he didnt like him cuz he had no sense of humour and that he needed 2 get one.

what an idiot!

prince humilliated sting once onstage in an aftershow playing with ron wood and bill wyman. ron wood said prince was trying to make sting loose the rhythm all the time and sting felt like an amateur musician. he finally left the stage. ron said prince was so cruel with sting.

maybe it was cuz he stole miles davis bass man 2 join him on tour....

Eric Clapton is a huge Prince fan,but I recall one time when he criticized both Prince and Madonna for their sexual antics onstage."You'll never catch me crawling around the stage",he said in disgust.

Well he might respect him but he was clearly annoyed with him at the RHHOF. Just look at the look Petty gives Prince when Prince leans back playing, and Petty shaking his head when all he can see is Prince with his back to him, guitar raised playing away.

Our little man killed it but not without stepping on a few toes.

That was the night, when at the America Music Awards, everyone who sat in the same row as Prince were told not to talk to him or acknowledge his presence. After the American Music Awards, they gathered to record "We Are The World", to benefit the starving masses in Ethiopia. Prince chose not to attend, went partying instead, and watched as his bodyguards beat up some photographers who had the audacity to take a picture of the star.
Goodnight, sweet Prince.

This is also when Slash was drunk at the AMA's. I saw him on VH1 recently and he seems to have a lot of regrets about his behavior back in the 90's. He seems to have mellowed out.
