You know I was on my work computer, so probably a firewall slowed down the connection or something. UGGGGH!! I did try a few minutes later using the TM app on my phone and got the same results. Oh well, maybe next time. Enjoy the show! Check out my tribute to Prince

I went to the Filmore (State Theatre) show in '97. It was crazy because it was general admission seating! Had a good time though
Check out my tribute to Prince

Yes and in the comments section, there were updates about the Fox Theatre just like on his site and here. Sorry, this falls on the so-called fan for not having her shit right. 37 years and you don't know how Prince operates? I've been a fan for a lot less and I know until the show actually happens, it hasn't really happened. lol.

Meh...I have no desire to go. I guess I'm really over this dude. Anytime Prince would come to Detroit, I would make it my Mission to go....but now, I would rather spend this money on a video game or some new shoes. And one more thing...all this sudden un-offical announced shows is complete bullshit. I guess that's what really turned me off from even giving this a serious thought of going. I don't have the time or patience for these retarded games. [Edited 4/7/15 16:22pm]

Only Prince fans would complain about him coming to a better venue that holds 2,000 more people. It's one of those venues that there really "isn't a bad seat in the house". . Hope he offers more shows for those who couldn't get through the first time.

Nah, I just don't like all the Super-Secret Cloak - N- Dagger bullshit, Prince seems to like to play when it comes to his shows these days. I like to plan for these kinds of events, not jump on a moment's notice, just to stroke the ego of an egotistical aging artist.

Agreed. I Don't blame him at all. No point in pouting about it. Just wait to hear the official news of a second show and keep it movin.
Prince fans are always going to cry over pancakes, and then lack of SYrup and then the texture of the butter and finally the itis that immediately follows the consumption of said pancakes... Blue

Or, he could like not having to be stuck into yearlong commitments with tour promoters. Change it one more time..

It would be nice to have some advanced notice. I said the same thing about those 2-3am live video streaming sessions last year. With the concerts though, I think this plays into his short attention span, so this Hit N Run tour can realistically be canceled at any time. There's no commitment on his part past the next concert.

This FOOL waits until six hours after the show went on sale then wants to blame OTHERS for her lack of follow through? Typical lazy individual who wants to blame others for their incompetance. Complete lack of personal accountability. If you wanted to go to a show so bad, you would be checking ALL MORNING day of sale like I and many others were to see confirmation of the venue and ticket prices.
I logged right on at Noon and had main floor seats in a minute. I'll be at the show while this lazy ADULT fails to take any responsibility for her poor choices and instead wants to whine and cry on the Internet and blame others. Disgusting behavior. Someone like that doesn't deserve tickets.

She got personal reasons to not be interested in any Prince concert at the Fillmore, so she tried to ignore the ticket sale and news about this concert. Got nothing to do with being lazy, it was a personal choice to trust Funkenberry with the "Fillmore u ready???" statement. As soon as she saw his posts she decided she doesn't want to go...because of the announced/hinted venue. I do agree that she shouldn't have counted on Funkenberry as much as she did. Would have cost her a minute to check the real ticket sale source (Ticketmaster/Livenation) to find out where this concert takes place. I do get that she feels Funkenberry sent out misleading information by saying "Fillmore u ready???"...as that's wrong information. The same way people ended up at Carnegie Hall for the "Music of Prince" tribute in 2013 after he had said that Prince will participate.

^^stop with the excuses for her. Since Friday Funkenberry tweeted out links to his site stating that the Fox Theatre was open for those dates as well and would keep people updated. She appears to be the only one who missed out. As Mike A said elequently, she is blaming others for her stupid, childish mistake. Before the links went live, Funkenberry posted it was the Fox along with official artwork which was not posted anywhere until then. Now if she stayed on top of things like every other fan, she would have had a chance to get tickets. Notice I said chance because there are many who did not get tickets and I sure hope those that tried to get tickets do get tickets before this person who cannot be responsible for her own actions.
Let's remember this was announced late Friday night and I believe the Fillmore was the venue the concert was going to be at as it is a Live Nation venue which others posted on here. Let's say it was brought to Prince's attention that the Fox was also open and he wanted to move the venue but it is a holiday weekend and no one can be reached for Fox until Monday morning. Let's also remember, the ticket link with the changed venue did not go up until minutes before the sale which was not the case with Louisville where the link and venue was posted hours before. My thoughts? The venue was changed last minute to accomadate a bigger audience. What if Prince read the comments on the Org about what a crap venue the Fillmore is and due to that, he decided to change the venue last minute on a holiday weekend. So I guess this person should be blaming the Org for posting about it being a crappy venue by your logic, right? If she would have checked back like was stated, she wouldn't have missed out. That is 100% on them.

Amen. Sucks that this post that should be about his return to his second home for the first time in 11 years has run so off topic. Enjoy the show!

Funkenberry isn't shy about promoting himself as the only official and trusted source? I am not sure about that. He is obviously clearly in the know. They announced his last official tour on his show. That is pretty fucking official. LOL. They debuted new songs on his show that went on sale on Prince's official web site right after being played. He has been his mouthpiece for a long time. 1st as j7/jseven here on the org, housequake, everywhere and then as DrFunk. That is quite a long time. Even if he comes off as the protector of Prince, he has done quite a lot for fans over the years and for this person to attack him for her lameness shows she clearly has issues and perhaps should be as far away from Prince and other humans as possible.

She did have a chance for tickets but because she was falsely informed by Funkenberry with the "Fillmore u ready???" posts she didn't look at other ticket sale information. Now...that is indeed her own decision and mistake, I grant you that one, but her decision was based on the initial Funkenberry concert announcement. To say she can't be held responsible for her own actions is a very childish comment. Her decision to believe Funkenberry prooved to be just as wrong as what Funkenberry initially made people believe. Had she ignored the Funkenberry posts and waited for the ticket sale this would have gone right for her as well. Not sure if Prince reads this site and/or even decides on where to play a concert. And by my logic this person would actually thank people for posting about the Fillmore being a crappy venue. As by your logic Prince now plays the Fox...and she is very happy about that, I wish her good luck finding a ticket for this concert. And hopefully it's not just a Judith Hill fest with little time for Prince... LOL again...as this time he was clearly NOT in the know at all as he wanted fans to get ready for the Fillmore. Nothing happening there as far as I know...unless the aftershow is at the Fillmore?
