The prices made me hesitate, and that hesitation was all it took for the concert to sell out. Wow.

I got my ticket about 10 minutes into sales, but I had 2 keep trying and trying, refreshing browser repeatedly. I kept trying after getting my ticket and occasionally, the odd ticket will pop up as available, but nothing better in terms of proximity 2 the stage. I'm searching 4 single tickets. If U're searching 4 2 or more tickets, those may all be gone. The time when I most recently was suggested a single ticket was 12:30 pm.

If you are looking for two tickets, not sure if you'll get them. Being stuck in that countdown has resulted in nothing but empty searches for me. Looking for one ticket repeatedly though, I've had luck with that.

I'm offered a $250 ticket in the Mezzanine level. Holy shit that's pricey!

Edit: Welp, that sucked... my App said it doesn't recognize my password so I had to close out and re-login. Jaysus this isn't meant to happen I suppose.

The whole time I never had a countdown queue. I'm using Explorer on a desktop. I have two windows open and keep refreshing. Try clicking on the Prince & 3rdEyeGirl - HitNRun Tour hyperlink to refresh the page. I'd also open more than one browser window and keep flipping back and forth between them. I would say that from 12:10 when I purchased my ticket, I was offered about 6 more times other seats, all except 4 1 was worse than what I originally purchased.

At this point, you're better of just waiting for the 2nd show to be announced. If he did 4 in Louisville, he'll definitely have at least one more in Detroit.

How long did it take before the second show for Louisville went on sale? Does it just pop up out of nowhere? does he anmnounce it first?

In my experience, I wouldn't count on the queue. At the very least I would have one window up (Google Chrome) and then bring up another browser (Firefox). In the one window I would have it queued up, and the other browser I would just keep refreshing, even if you do get the queue. That way you can test both methods.

I was able to get 2 tickets. My wife was able to log in from home while I was at work (using my info). I had my CC# and personal information already saved on LiveNation.

.

I got one of the first few rows of the upper level. $99 each, which was about the price point I was comfortable with.

.

I heard it sold out in 3 minutes, so I don't know about what I'm reading about these "queues". :/

Hope you guys have a nice time, and that you're able to enjoy an inspired setlist. I'm not on that side of the water, but doubt I would attend even if I had been in the area. That's too much money to pay for a Prince who's not promoting a new album (and fresh setlist). I could care less for the backup singer who has caught his attention/distracted him as of late. Dude needs some focus and direction (i.e., a bona fide manager). He hears someone humming in the bakery and drops everything to try to promote what no one is interested in hearing. He doesn't have that pull anymore. Looking forward to a new Prince album that he'll promote with a tour, and bring back some excitement. Til then, I'll enjoy these blasts from the past.......... Don't let him fool ya...................

I am still in que. I wish it would either say no results or come through already. Its been 2 hrs and 35 mins now. Any tips on how to find out when the second show will go on sale? There is no way I can keep refreshing ticketmaster all day. Ive been doing it for the last hour but this is just crazy on my end now

Managed to get two GREAT single ticket seats:

Section F2, Row E

Section F4, Row B

dancing jig

It did not sell out quickly (well, not quickly for Prince). People were reporting getting single tickets as late as 12:45 p.m. (EDT) I scored my two seats at 12:20 p.m. and 12:29 p.m.

After 1:15 pm, I had no more luck in pulling up single tickets on TM. I think it might be "sold out" now, but 1 never knows if new blocks of tickets will be released. Also, who bought all the best and most expensive tickets from the get-go if no-1 on here is mentioning they scored them?!? Seconds into the offering of tickets, the best seat offered to me was 1 in the back and on the side. My guess is that the good seats are reserved 4 "special people in high places." I would keep checking back just in case.

I wish I could have gotten this information on this thread sooner, because I'm sure it would've helped some.

My experience with LiveNation's Bruce Springsteen show was similar to the "endless queue" some have referred to. For the Springsteen show, it turned out that if you hit "Best Available" you were put in that never-ending queue. But if you selected a certain section, your order was processed immediately.

I wonder if the same thing happened here?

FWIW, I wrote a letter to LiveNation's president, who passed it on to their head of North American concerts, who got me some excellent seats. (And she REALLY appreciated the thank-you letters I sent!) The Springsteen show was at a much larger venue, but you never know.

You might try a very nicely-worded letter/email to LiveNation's president if you were one caught in Queue Hell.

.

I don't think we were offered the chance to choose a section. . .it was only "Best Available". shrug

Definitely keep checking back "just in case". Especially the day of the show. The box office always holds back a certain number of tickets, in case the artist suddenly needs 10 more for their family, or the Queen Of England shows up unannounced or something. But if the Queen doesn't call them by noon day of show, her seats may get released.

I got 2004 Staples Center tix for a show that had been sold out for months, just rows of the stage in the lower level, on the morning of the show. It happens, you just have to be searching TM at the moment they get released.

The second show in Louisville popped up as you were trying to get tickets for the first show. I don't remember how the 3rd and 4th happened. I think those went on sale the next day. This first show in Detroit was sold out in minutes, as far as getting 2 seats together. I am really surprised that Live Nation and Ticketmaster were selling tickets from both sites.
