The Pro Wrestling Thread #6

I don't know why the last thread became inactive all of a sudden, but whatever.

The Rock appeared in-studio on ESPN SportsCenter Thursday promoting his "Journey 2" movie and WrestleMania 28 on April 1. Rock mentioned his opponent, John Cena, by name and described him as WWE's biggest star before resuming the theme of their Twitter battle by questioning Cena's manhood. "Dream come true," Rock said about wrestling in Miami at WM28. "I quietly retired and walked away. I knew I was going to come back, just didn't know when. It all aligned down in Miami, WWE's biggest star (Cena), my boots to Cena's ass."

Rock then talked about NBA star LeBron James and playing college football at Miami, then joked about The Undertaker's leather outfit being intimidating because he doesn't think Taker has washed it in nine years. He then dropped an uncensored "bulls---" before repeating his "boots to Cena's ass" line after SportsCenter host John Buccigross flashed a Cena action figure. Bucci concluded the interview by joking they might be kicked off the air at this point.

Alberto Del Rio returns to action tonight at the WWE Live Event at the Cow Palace outside of San Francisco, CA. He appeared on San Francisco's 95.7 radio station yesterday to promote the event, here are some highlights:

On his injury: "[It's] the worst injury a man can suffer... I completely tore my groin, so you know that's painful [laughs]. I had surgery, they reattached the muscle from my leg to my hip. The doctor... did a great job. Now I'm running, jumping, and ready to roll into the ring."

Wrestling with a mask in Mexico: "There's a big tradition for masked men in Mexico. The most important match in Mexico is a mask vs. mask, and the one who loses, loses his identity, his mask, everything. Here in the States the mask is not so important, people like to see your facial expressions, the way you talk, the way you move."

What wrestling groupies are like: "It's interesting [laughs]... that's all I'm going to say... there's some ladies that really enjoy wrestling and wrestlers."

Which wrestlers he doesn't like: "The Miz! I hate The Miz. This is not part of the show, I really dislike like that guy. I've tried to punch him in the face several times -- not in the ring -- I mean outside the ring. He's like a little girl, he's always running away from me."

Why he hates The Miz: "There's a big difference between The Miz and I... I'm a real athlete. He's just a loud, stupid little kid. He's one of those guys who was probably bullied when he was in school and that's the reason now he's so, so loud and he wants to get attention from everybody. But in my case, I'm the real deal."

If Miz has a lot of female fans: "I don't think so, because he's fat and ugly."

I wonder why he hates The Miz so much. Lol!

As noted earlier this week, The Miz received a verbal beatdown from Triple H after failing to properly catch R-Truth during the Six-Pack Challenge on Monday's RAW SuperShow. Truth ended up landing on his back on the floor, prompting him to be pulled from the match and assisted to the back.

According to The Wrestling Observer, the incident does him no favors as management already feels that the former WWE Champion has regressed both in the ring and on the mic. Miz, who was even blamed for the disappointing Survivor Series buy rate, was a favorite of management last year because of the publicity he brought in after winning the WWE Championship from being on "The Real World." According to the report, Miz was hungry last year and essentially forced officials to headline him, but is now mid-card and no longer has that desire.

source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

I find it hard to believe that Miz has "lost his desire" to be a main eventer. And, they've put him in some shitty angles and made him look like absolute shit against Cena. Anyone remember that "I Quit" match against Cena where Miz and A-Ry mercilessly beat on Cena for 25 minutes, but when Cena put the STFU on Miz, he tapped in 1.5 seconds?? Or how about booking him to interact with Jared the fuckin' Subway guy?

I'm not saying Miz is the greatest or anything close to that, but the WWE's booking should shoulder a HUGE portion of the blame as to why he's not getting the reaction he once was. Hell, the crowds were REALLY into him just this past summer around MITB. And they did absolutely nothing with it.

Hulk Hogan will shave mustache for 'couple million bucks'

Hulk Hogan will shave off his iconic mustache for a ''couple million bucks''.

The legendary wrestler recently revealed he was considering losing his famous facial hair to increase his chances of landing some film roles.

Since making the revelation, the 'TNA IMPACT Wrestling' star has been contacted by some major cosmetics companies who want to pay to film him making the cut and he is ready to have a shave for the right price.

He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: ''When I talked about it (shaving off the mustache) everyone went crazy. Loads of people began jumping on it and the next thing I knew people were like, 'Oh my god he's shaving his mustache off!' The next thing I know is I had one of my sports agents calling me saying, 'Don't shave it off!' I've heard from Gillette, Right Guard. They said we may have a deal, so I said I'd wait for a while.''

When asked if he really would lose the mustache - which Hulk has rarely been seen without over the last 40 years - he added: ''If you pay me a couple million bucks, hell yeah I'd shave it off! It grows back.''

The grappler-and-actor was in the U.K. last month on the Maximum IMPACT Tour.

The leg of the tour which took place at London's Wembley Arena was filmed to be broadcast on 'IMPACT Wrestling' - which is aired on Challenge TV in the U.K. and Ireland and Spike TV in the U.S..

All Hail Mr. Perfect!!!

WWE wrestler Michael McGillicutty (Joe Hennig), son of legendary wrestler "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig, Tweeted the following message on Friday, the 9 year anniversary of his father's death:

"February 10th. A day I just can't forget... My dad, my best friend... He past away 9 years ago... I miss u dad. I miss u so much! I love you,

"Dear Dad. Hey man. I'm doin the bst I can. I doin everything you told me to do. I'm not supposed to cry but I can't help it. I'm tired of sitting on the sidelines. My name is Joe Hennig. And I'm the past, present and future.

"Today, I dont give a damn what u call me. Michael McGillicutty. I am Joe Hennig and I am apart of the greatest wrestling legacy of all time. I miss u Dad. And from here on out, I'm taking over! I love u daddy. RIP Curt Hennig. Let's get this Goin. #Hennig."

The third generation wrestler has long been considered a potential breakout star, despite his awful, goofy ring name. Just this week, Jim Ross blogged about being impressed with McGillicutty's rccent match on Superstars. Ross wrote, "Keep Curt Hennig's son in mind as I feel that he can be a viable asset to WWE but the last name has got to go, IMO."

Thursday Blog, Austin, Dream Matches, Nick Diaz, WM in London, JJ, Rock vs Cena, Get JR's Products at WWEShop.com

Thanks for stopping by our site and especially to those supporting our efforts to grow our family business at http://www.wweshop.com/Ca...y/JimRoss. Let's grill...

Let's address some of your Tweeter questions to @JRsBBQ:

"Thoughts on Nick Diaz testing positive for marijuana?" I don't know all the details or if the test has been definitively confirmed but if true it is horribly irresponsible and unfortunate. No matter one's personal stance on pot use, it's against the rules of the Nevada State Athletic Commission and one can either play by the rules or be defiant and make knucklehead mistakes.

Diaz is a polarizing individual who is tremendously talented inside the Octagon but his personal conduct is self destructive particularly for a career that has a shorter shelf life than most vocations. I am a Diaz fight fan but something is obviously not right with this young man. Whatever help he needs, I hope he receives.

"Is the Rock taking Cena and WM28 seriously?" Be assured of one thing about @TheRock...he wants...he needs to steal the show in Miami. There's no way that Dwayne comes back to the bright lights and big stage to perform against @JohnCena, who is WWE's biggest star, just for the hell of it. Wrestling is in Rock's DNA and he has the motor and mind set to electrify...if you will. I'm intrigued by this match and it seems to be boiling down to a simple matter of respect and appears to be getting more personal by the Tweet.

Ironically, Rock and Cena were both products of organized athletic programs at the collegiate level plus they were both life long fans of sports entertainment which, in my opinion, are great places to start when one's recruiting potential stars.

"Who should be in the WWE HOF?" How do I honestly answer that question other than to provide an opinion which automatically begins debate over someone's favorite that I didn't mention? It's the old damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario.

I do know that I fully understand that the 'celebrity wing' of the WWE HOF is some what 'honorary' and media related as in garnering publicity, etc. I completely separate the two induction distinctions but many do not. For example, "How can Drew Carey be in the WWE HOF and Randy Savage isn't?" Carey is in that 'honorary' wing of which Savage would not be a part of when Randy finally does get inducted. One has nothing to do with the other.

I thought that the WWE HOF got grieve until I read feedback on who the NFL is inducting this year? No Bill Parcells? I'm appalled. Outraged. O.K., only miffed.

"Why is @shawnmichaels coming back to WWE RAW?' I'd suggest to help sell more WrestleMania PPVs. I'm looking forward to seeing HBK live this Monday on Raw from San Diego. BTW, the last time the King and I were in SD aka the 619 we had In 'n Out Burgers before catching our red eyes...I bought...Jerry drove.

@steveaustin called today to shoot the breeze and is about to head to Vancouver to film another action adventure film. I assume it will be released at the end of the year or early next year. I don't know the story line other than Steve said that he had several fight scenes.

"Will Andy Kaufman ever be inducted into the WWE HOF?" Hard to say but I could see that happening. Certainly if Andy were still alive it would be a no brainer and I don't mean to sound crass. Kaufman brought a great deal of attention to wrestling via his issue with Jerry Lawler on the David Letterman Show, etc and by being the "Intergender Wrestling Champion." Apparently 'Man on the Moon' the film about Kaufman starring Jim Carrey with The King and yours truly with a bit part must have been airing recently as I've gotten lots of feedback on it from fans who had previously not seen the Milos Foreman film. BTW Lance Russell, another HOFer in my eyes, did the ring announcing in the movie and I did Lance's role. Don't ask me how that made sense but we all did as directed and had fun doing it.

"Who's my favorite manager?" There's Bobby Heenan and then there's everyone else and that everyone else list is damn impressive. Heenan was in a league of his own.

The Ole Anderson not being inducted with the Four Horsemen matter seems to have died down. Ole has no interest in the WWE HOF for those who haven't kept score.

However, overlooked in this matter by some is the fact that JJ Dillon IS being inducted. JJ has made many viable contributions to the business that many fans are completely unaware. He kept the rudder in the water for the hard partying Horsemen but he also did significant and important work behind the scenes for Jim Crockett Promotions, WCW, and the WWE. JJ was in charge of WWE Talent Relations when I came to work there in 1993. I have tremendous respect for JJ Dillon the talent, the administrator, the man and the father.

"What's the favorite match that you've ever called?" I have no idea nor do I know if I will ever be able to accurately answer that question. Nonetheless I get it every day @JRsBBQ. I've tried to answer it but I've been lucky enough to have called so many great stars in their prime.

This week on Twitter fans sent us a ton of unique, You Tube clips of some of their favorite calls of mine from over the years, many of which I had somewhat forgotten. Some were so long ago that that almost sounded 'new' again.

Wrestlers make the music we fans love to hear and they always will. As Shakespeare said, "the Play is the Thing." It's up to broadcasters to provide the lyrics to the wrestler's music. One of the greatest compliments I ever received was when Ric Flair said that I was the soundtrack to his career. That's amazingly humbling to say the least.

"Will WrestleMania ever take place in London?" For the record, I have no idea where future WrestleMania's will or will not take place. I do know that the event must be LIVE in North America on a Sunday night at 7 eastern time. Not on tape delay but LIVE as it happens. So, with that said, it would seem that a WrestleMania originating from London is unlikely due to the time difference.

Fans asking about outdoor WM's in their area simply need to check with the almanac, the internet, etc and see what the average temperature is for April 1, again, at 7 pm eastern time, for their venue. Yeah, I know about the stadium in Jersey being talked about as hosting a WrestleMania some day and that well may happen but I'll need to see it to believe it.

"Favorite BBQ Sauce from our line? JR's Original is my personal favorite as I like my sauce somewhat sweeter and with no vinegar taste. @steveaustinBSR favorite JR's BBQ Sauce is our HOT which is spicy but 'not set you on fire like Kane did JR once upon a time' hot.

"What is one thing that is missing w/ some of today's young wrestlers?" They aren't hungry enough or willing to challenge a top star for their spot on the roster. Too many talents are content to not make 'waves' and to live quietly and somewhat financially comfortable within their comfort zones. I can assure you that the comfort zone complex is the kiss of death in most organizations and businesses and is not exclusive to sports entertainment.

What's my favorite 'dream match' or matches I'd like to see in their prime? Austin vs. Flair, HBK vs. Jack Brisco, HHH vs. Harley Race, Dan Hodge vs Kurt Angle, Rock vs. Roddy Piper, John Cena vs. Terry Funk, Undertaker vs. Bruiser Brody...for starters.

Recipe idea....Homemade Meatloaf using JR's Chipotle Ketchup and our All Purpose Seasoning.

Thanks for stopping by today and for visiting and supporting us at http://www.wweshop.com/Category/JimRoss for all your BBQ Sauce and delicious condiment desires.

They screwed Joe over royally by having him go by that name. That promo he did on the season finale of NXT will be one of the biggest blank stare causing moments in WWE history lol

Another blog by good ol' J.R. today. This is different than the one I posted earlier today.

http://www.jrsbarbq.com/b...le-or-stin

Weekend Blog, Curt Hennig Memories, Toughest Wrestler, Best Match Ever, Trish or Lita, Angle or Sting, JR's at WWEShop.com!!

Posted in:

Chilling day here in Norman for us Okies with the high only expected to reach 29 degrees. I'm headed to OU vs. Missouri women's hoops later today (Saturday) but let's get to this with some random thoughts and addressing some of your questions from our site and from Twitter @JRsBBQ.

WWE had a hugely successful three day run in Abu Dhabi with packed crowds of enthusiastic fans according to all accounts. Fans were more traditional, cheered for fan favs and booed the bad guys, which seemingly always helps the talents perform more naturally and more efficiently. Didn't hear of any significant injuries on this tour which is always good news. I wonder if any of the WWE golfers got in a round of golf on some of the beautiful courses there?

Fans outside the USA often ask when WWE is going to tour their country and the logical answer is that if their country airs WWE TV programming on a weekly basis that when the TV matures and earns solid ratings one can expect a tour in some shape, form or fashion if there are adequate, available facilities.

If you have business requests or questions regarding JR's Family BBQ, NOT wrestling questions you can contact us at info@jrsbarbq.gmai.com.

Did our weekly radio hit Saturday morning at http://www.yahoosportsradio.com and the podcast will be up later today. I hope you listen as we spend the first half of the show talking WWE extensively. I think that you will like it but you may not agree with my opinions.

The WWE is talking about making the Rivalry DVDs a series. I don't know if that means one or two annually but I do know that another one will be produced later this year, likely for a fall release. I don't have the details on the subject matter as several rivalries are being discussed internally. I do know that wrestlers who are under contract currently with other wrestling companies are NOT being considered for obvious legal reasons contrary to what some fans are suggesting.

Is my newly grown, gray goatee a precursor to 'JR' becoming a bad guy/villain? Not that I'm aware of as it's more of a function of not shaving regularly during the December holidays and giving my first ever goatee a 'test drive.' The jury's still deliberating on said facial hair.

Several individuals did interviews in OKC for the upcoming 'Top 50 Finishers' in wrestling DVD also scheduled for a 2012 release. There were some interesting candidates from a multitude of generations. Some will surprise you and, as always, the Top 50 type lists will invariably leave off someone's favorite and controversy ensues. The conspiracy theorists will come out of the woodwork without fail.

We are getting more orders now from WWE than we did during the busy holiday season which certainly means that business is picking up. We appreciate you supporting our labor of love and sampling some delicious products from http://www.wweshop.com/Ca...y/JimRoss.

We've had a particularly busy run on our 97% Fat Free Beef Jerky of which we now have 5 flavors, our All Purpose Seasoning which is a main event level dry rub, and the stable of the line, JR's Original BBQ Sauce which is a homage to my late Mom.

Was I BS'ing or putting the hype machine in motion when I recently wrote that @TheRock and @JohnCena did not particularly like each other? Absolutely not. Let's just say that the two stars have philosophical differences, to say the least. It's the classic confrontation of a former offensive lineman (Cena) vs. a former defensive lineman (Rock) who will both bust a gut trying to one up the other at WM28 in a match that I expect to be stiffly physical.

@swamppeople debuted this past week with another new season and I loved it. They even have a 'Diva' hunting team and have brought in a 'heater' a former military sharpshooter to partner with veteran alligator hunter Bruce. Plus, many of the hunters purchased tons more tags which will make the final weeks of the season end with a great sense of urgency. The producers made some nice changes in this season's cast.

"What's your all time favorite bout to call?" Can't answer this one. Too many...too subjective...impossible to narrow it down. Perhaps I will try if I ever write a book or if WWE ever produces a DVD of my broadcast career.

"Who's the toughest wrestler I ever worked with over the years?" Another tough one and I am biased but if you ask many of the wrestlers themselves many will agree....Steve 'Dr. Death' Williams. Physically and mentally tough beyond compare and he had the athleticism and amateur wrestling background to back it up PLUS he was a skilled and willing street fighter with freakish natural strength and a destructive mean streak. We signed Doc past his prime, which I take responsibility for, but I was hoping to catch lightning in a bottle and get one or two viable runs out of him. His body was beat to hell from his Japanese experiences and his lifestyle but make no mistake about it, in Doc's day, bare knuckles/barroom brawling no one could handle him, again in my view, and that includes noted amateurs like Angle and Lesnar. Again, that's my opinion and, yes, I'm very biased and I'm not dissing Brock or Kurt, both of who I signed and have immense respect for. For those that only judge Doc by the ill conceived Brawl for it All, I suggest that you take a closer look at his career. Oh, how I loved Doc/Terry Gordy vs. the Steiner Brothers in WCW back in the day. Check him out on You Tube.

"Thoughts on the late, Curt Hennig?" Obviously, he died too soon. I loved being around him. He was the life of the party and made everyone laugh. Loved his approach to life as in making every day fun and, granted, some days he had too much fun. I've never worked with anyone more 'natural' than Curt Hennig as he had 'it' early on and just got better until a bad back curtailed his magnificent career. I've been around very few, as in one hand, that could wrestle as well as Curt, hero or villain, talk/promo as well as he could, manage, AND broadcast at the level he did without little training or preparation. Only Bobby Heenan comes to mind. Taking Mr. Perfect's total skill set into consideration, I'd confidently say that Curt Hennig was one of the top 5 all around talents ever in the business taking into consideration the aforementioned areas of expertise.

When I broadcast with Curt, he wanted to learn and rarely made the same mistake twice. He simply 'got it' and was extremely competitive. Plus, we never had a cross word and laughed much more than any thing. I loved the days that we did voice over work in Stamford and regaled in his stories of the 'boys' and the practical jokes that he played on them. I'm honored to have been able to spend time with the 2007 WWE HOFer.

"Will the WWE HOF indcution ceremony ever air in its entirety on TV?" I'd say the best chance of that happening would be on the new, WWE Network but that's my assumption.

"Who's ready to be called up from FCW?" I'm working on my 2012 travel schedule now to begin returning regularly to FCW for the record but I do think that there are several talents who are in ring ready to be called up. Bottom line is that it matters not if there isn't a viable roster spot for the new talent and a long term gameplan established for them. It would be like a NFL team drafting a college star and not having any idea as to what position the draftee was going to play.

"Who's your favorite wrestler of all time?" Starting in 1974 I've made friends with many wrestlers. To single out one talent over all the rest is uncomfortable to me so I don't do it. The wrestling biz doesn't isn't one to produce that many truly close friends and I don't plan on adversely affecting a friendship to answer a Twitter question. My favorite wrestler as a kid and into adulthood was Danny Hodge....Google him.

JR's products, at this time, are available ONLY ONLINE unless you are in the Norman, Oklahoma area where we sell our entire line at the four, Norman Homeland Grocery Stores. They even sell our JR's Cookbooks.

"Was I born in Oklahoma?" No...Ft Bragg, California where my Dad was a logger but I grew up in Oklahoma and my ancestors came to Oklahoma long before statehood which was in 1907. Our family has property in Adair County Oklahoma that's been in our family since the 1880's. Yep, we own a 190 acre ranch that I seldom see.

"Is WWE going to do a DVD on the 'Rise and Fall of Watts' UWF?' Don't see how they can as WWE doesn't own the Watts/UWF library. WWE has tried to purchase this library, of which I personally think is exceptional, but no deals have been reached and it's not for a lack of trying. One can't do a DVD without owning the content that will appear in the DVD.

"What's a somewhat obscure wrestling book to read?" I loved Jeff Leen's Queen of the Ring. The Gary Hart book is also a sleeper. There are others that are off the radar too such as Stan Hansen's, among others.

"Can I choose between Trish and Lita?" Boy, that's a loaded question. I vividly remember meeting them both for the first time in my WWE office when I managed talent relations. Two, totally different women in many ways but with many similar traits as well. I wouldn't pick one over the other out of respect but I can say that no two women ever contributed more to the WWE at crunch time than Trish Stratus and Lita aka Amy Dumas. We had some outstanding 'Divas' during that period which helped the Diva division have vitality and significance. Lisa Marie, Jackie Moore, Ivory, Jazz, Molly Holly, Terri Runnels, Terri Poch, Stacy Keibler, Torrie Wislon, Sable, Chyna and many others that I'm inadvertently leaving out all contributed because they all were willing to get physical and raise the bar for their gender.

"Do I think that we will ever see Kurt Angle or Sting in a WWE ring?" Interesting question that only the talents themselves and WWE management can answer. Just a guess but I'd say not likely. Could I see both going into the WWE HOF? Without question. Could I see WWE doing a comprehensive DVD on both? Seems like a layup. Is it impossible that they 'could' have a final bout in WWE at a future Wrestlemania? Any thing is possible and WrestleMania is the only place to stage such an attraction in my view but that seems like a long shot.

"How do I like Twitter?" It's fun...and perplexing at times. Some fans bitch when I don't respond to them. With close to 350,000 followers I can't physically respond to all the Tweets we receive. Some followers complain when I respond TOO much. Some ask the same questions that I've previously answered some times just moments before. Rarely does anyone take the time to read the timeline to see what has been addressed. Others say I promote JR's products too much. With all that said, I intend to remain actively aggressive on Twitter @JRsBBQ and will talk about a variety of topics and not just WWE. I will also continue to promote WWEShop.com distribution of our family brand of products. We're trying to grow a business and I will admit that at times I'm too aggressive re: that platform. Bottom line is I throughly enjoy Twitter and invite you to follow us @JRsBBQ.

"Why does it seem that HBK is coming back to WWE just in time for WrestleMania?" Easy...to sell PPVs. @ShawnMichaels is Mr Wrestlemania so why wouldn't one have the WWE HOF'er involved at this time of the year? HBK has more than a vested interest in the seemingly pending HHH vs. Undertaker issue. Who better to address both men than Shawn Michaels? Plus, he adds star power to Raw and he's still one of the biggest stars WWE to which has access. HBK is a natural born Show Stealer....remember that as time goes on. That's all I'm gonna say on that topic for now but 'stay tuned' to Monday Night Raw.

Thanks for dropping by and please tell friends about our site and our blogs. If you have time to visit http://www.wweshop.com/Category/JimRoss and see what we have to offer, please know that it's appreciated. We don't sell 'gimmicks' but do sell great tasting BBQ Sauces, Beef Jerky and condiments.

JR is dead on with his take on the late, great "Dr. Death" Steve Williams, though I do think Stan Hansen could give him a run for his money. They both had AMAZING careers in All Japan Pro.

Seriously...look up Steve Williams or Stan Hansen vs. Mitsuharu Misawa on youtube. You will not be disappointed.

So, what did you all think of Raw on Monday? Just saw it, and the highlight had to be the HBK/Trips segment. Great lines by both, and as expected, great chemistry. I see now they're gonna explain Taker's lack of long hair because of that (yet another) video package. He was shown cutting his locks off for what reason again? Why would he supposedly even do that? :disbelief:

I've said it along that my girl Eve is one of the finest muthafuckas in a bit. lol But, who didn't see her and Cena kissing or getting together somehow? I mean, they had him saving her ass every fuckin' week, so it was easy to see where they were going. If they REALLY wanna go somewhere with it, they should have Cena come out and say it wasn't an accident and they've been fuckin' for a while now. And just have him and Eve be a heel couple, killin' shit (ala Stephanie and Trips circa 2000).

Oh, and Ryder can get pushed down by Cena on his ass, further compressing his spine, and he barely grimaces? Right. Broken back, my ass. God, he's one helluva HORRIBLE actor. Lol! Nice wheelchair spot at the end, though.

from the beginning of the show u knew it was going 2 be whack and u could tell from punk's expression that he thought it was bullshit. and larengytis keeps his job lawd well i guess they had to otherwise ortunga would have nothing 2 do lol. as 4 the whole cena/eve/ryder thing ..who gives a fuck? best thing of the night 4 me was daniel hitting both boringten and show with the belt lol

There has been a change in the Smackdown Elimination Chamber: Santino replaces Orton.

Orton was ruled out due to a concussion substained by when Bryan hit him with the belt monday.

So, they had a battle royal where Johnny Ace entered in Otunga to win it all.

It came down to Otunga and Santino but Santino won.

Wow. I thought they would replace Khali with Mark Henry or bring back Christian. But Santino replacing Orton? Wow.

They were trying to bill it as the ultimate chance for an underdog to get the title. I'm not sure, but I think Santino will also be number 6 in the chamber.

:/

The Great Khali and Santino Marella in the EC match? See, this is why people don't give two shits about Smackdown. Talk about BORING! disbelief

Elimination Chamber.....leading up to a Wrestlemania, this was a letdown.

Punk still champ..although never beat Jericho in the Chamber. He kicked Jericho outside of gate and they said he was unable to continue. No matter how hard they tried to sell it, it was not a bad bump. Punk pinned Miz after everyone else was eliminated. Punk even seemed to shrug his shoulders as to how the ending was and when he walked by Jericho.

Santino segment.

Beth and Snuka having a pretty good match..for a Diva's match. The knockouts battle royal on TNA was much better. Velvet Skye. Wowsa. Beth won with the Glam Slam after Snuka did the jump and even tho she squashed Beth, did not get the pin.

Santino segment. Then Cena training segment. This is what PPV has become?

Johnny Ace coming out with Mrs. Jennifer Hudson and talking about how he should be perm Raw GM and Smackdown. Broought out Del Rio to badmouth Teddy and Christian. What a waste of Christian being out and doing nothing with him. Lame. Mark Henry also came out to complain and that was that.

Smackdown elimination chamber saw Santino last til the end. When Big Show came out, he went after Bryant, smashing the glass. Still, he did not make it to the end as Santino and Bryant eliminated everyone else. The match ended with Santino tapping out in the Patti Lobelle lock.

Cena beat Kane in the ambulance match. Anyone not see this heading into Wrestlemania with the Rock?

BTW, next year's Wrestlemania is in Jersey.

Horrible pay per view. Don't even waste your time looking for a playback.

just reading the results on another site i was skimming through it cause it sounded wack. just having santino in the chamber match was enough 2 say it was going 2 be horrible.

Yeah, I just saw the download. Very dumb and disappointing. Completely useless Justin Gabriel and Jack Swagger match. Santino made it to the final two of SD's EC match, as they completely overbooked him. Did you see how long his ass was able to stay in the Lebell lock?? Yeah right.

BOTH champions come out winning in the EC match (what was the point?), though I'm glad Bryan retained cuz I'm loving his character now, and it also means Punk's losing his title at Wrestlemania to my boy, Y2J.

Now that Cena beat Kane, I'm hoping that means they're gonna have him LOSE to Rock at WM. One can only hope.

And it's about time...Eve has turned heel (I'm watching Raw live this week)! That's mah bitch! lol She's so damn fine, I'd eat the corn and peas outta her shit....AFTER diarrhea. *gulp*
