Did they just intentionally NOT show the Rock when he was saying, "Easy, big fella!!"?? Oh c'mon, WWE. God, y'all suck.

And why did they just show people bored out of their minds during that promo? They were better off just showing that last reaction shot and that was it, because they were not impressed with the rest of it.

And The Rock STILL hasn't said shit worth mentioning....live, that is. Shit, Cena basically said most of his lines before he even came out there. Lol! I thought it was funny hearing Cena say what everyone on the internet was saying about how he shook up Rock during last week's promo.

And did anyone catch the crowd not feeling either one of them, for the most part? I don't know if they're finally getting bored with the feud or if it was too evenly divided, but it was not overwhelmingly for The Rock. In fact, Cena's fans were a little louder than usual, even for it being his hometown (they don't really care for him there, either lol ).

But The Rock needs to lossen the fuck up on the mic, and for the first time in his career, you can tell he's absolutely apprehensive on what he's going to say. Too much time in Hollywood and having people write his shit, word for word. He's rusty as hell!

Oh nooo...they wanna make it a SPECIAL moment for WM. Unless of course you count that abysmal PPV, Survivor Series.

And Cena was talkin' all that bullshit about how he was out there last night wearing kneepads yet he was only there to talk. Again, he was full of shit. He had a dark match after Raw, teaming up with CM Punk against Kane and Jericho. And of course, we already know which team won and which wrestler scored the pinfall. rolleyes

And I wish I could get into the Punk/Jericho feud, but we already know how that one's ending because Punk has already been advertised to defend the championship at a house show later on in the spring. They need to stop pretending that muthafuckas can't read the internet. The kids that grew up watching this shit is a totally different generation than the kids that're watching now. They all have the internet, dumbasses. lol

Yes, but you don't matter to Vince McMahon. He knows you're going to watch anyway.

and sadly that's the state of things, as long as vince is able 2 come through with approx 3 hrs of some change of wrestling per week he's able 2 do what he wants. parents will bring the kiddies 2 this pg era of things.

now if tna had more hours per week and took to the road to present their product, then vince might shake things up a bit or when MMA brings in even higher numbers will he feel threatned

Watching RAW/Smackdown (or even TNA)? Nah...youtube clips if anything.

None of their shit is good enough for me to even DVR it.

I love The Rock but I have to admit that Cena is whooping his ass in the live promos. He's been away for a while so of course he would be rusty and he still have the skills (shown in some of the tape promos) but yeah he got to step it up. I'm still entertained by him though. And also do most people prefer Cena to go back to his thug life/ Chain Gang image or it's whatever now. I know most want him heel.. I thought he was about to turn but no as usual.

But, I'm really starting to think Cena's DEFINITELY going to win in Miami. They're doing their absolute best to try to get Cena over, period. So, they're going to have Rock "pass down the torch" to him. There's NO way they're going to have a guy beat the face of the WWE and then have him leave the week after WM. It's just not going to happen.

I was thinking that as well. It's like when Rock faced hogan .. I guess the same here.

WWE’s Big Show discusses Shaq Daddy

Former basketballer Big Show up for challenge on mat, at charity stripe

jvarsallone@miamiherald.com

Plenty of buzz stemming from the 7-1, 350-pound Shaquille O’Neal referencing a matchup against the 7-0, 450-pound WWE superstar Big Show at WrestleMania 28 Miami.

Will it happen?

On its website, WWE claimed Shaq would not be wrestling at WrestleMania 28.

Big Show is 40. Shaq is 39.

Whether this battle of the big men ever occurs, there is some history between two of the largest athletes in the world.

On the July 27, 2009 episode of WWE Raw (9 p.m. Mondays USA Network), O’Neal was the special guest host and made himself the ringside enforcer in a match involving Cryme Tyme and the Unified WWE tag team champs Chris Jericho and Big Show.

At the end of the match, O’Neal and Big Show were face-to-face, and a physical altercation ensued. O’Neal shoulder blocked Big Show, sending the stunned grappler to the mat and outside the ring.

http://www.youtube.com/wa...VTjVzAPNnE

“That was a lot of fun,” said Big Show.

“I know there are a lot of rumors this year that I might get a chance to compete against Shaq at WrestleMania [28 Miami]. I didn’t hear anything about it on my end.

“I don’t know if Shaq was getting froggy, stirring up some stuff, but if he ever wants to take his Nike butt away from the announcers’ desk and try to step in the ring, he’s more than welcome to try.

“I teach as well as I compete. So he can come on down and get a lesson.”

Speaking of ‘come on down,’ because of Shaq’s effort when he hosted Raw in 2009, he was a nominee for the Raw Guest Host of the Year during the 2009 WWE Slammy Awards. But legendary game show host Bob Barker won the coveted award.

http://www.youtube.com/wa...AsiZMFhbF8

Retiring after last season, Shaq joined the “Inside the NBA” broadcast team on TNT.

Is Shaq the biggest guy you’ve ever faced?

“No. I think Great Khali [7-2] is taller,” Big Show said. “I have a lot of respect for Shaq in what he has done in the NBA and the kind of athlete he is. He’s an amazing athlete for a big man, and he’s a natural showman. So I think if Shaq ever decided he wanted to apply himself and try to make sports entertainment a sideline career, I think he can do well in it, but he might want to try a little bit smaller fish first. I still have teeth.”

Big Show doesn’t mind stepping in the ring with athletes from other sports. He had a sumo match against sumo grand champ Akebono at WrestleMania 21 at the Staples Center (Shaq’s former home court) in Los Angeles and a boxer/wrestler match against boxing champ Floyd Money Mayweather at WrestleMania 24 at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando. Big Show and Mayweather also had a confrontation prior to Mania, and South Florida’s own Tye Dye Guy, the unofficial official superfan of WrestleMania 28 Miami, was there.

http://www.youtube.com/wa...3TMncrejIw

“Most athletes who are successful in other professional sports understand the discipline it takes to do well in a sport, and they also understand the skill set required to do different things,” he said. “Most professional athletes are really good about being coached and instructed, making their bodies do what they’ve been told. That’s part of being an athlete. You’re taught by your coach, and then you apply what you’ve been taught.”

“That’s why a lot of athletes are successful because they’re able to translate that mind-body communication. So working with these other athletes who are standout superstars in their sport and bringing them into our environment to have a little fun, I think they all have a good time. One thing I’m pretty confident is that most any entertainer or athlete who’s ever had a chance to work with us, we try to make it a great, positive experience for our fans and for the people coming in to help with our product, because most of them are fans, too.”

Big Show grasps the sports entertainment concept, welcoming those from other sports and entertainment worlds into his universe.

“That’s one thing that I love about being a WWE superstar, to outdo ourselves and bring unexpected, entertaining matchups that you just wouldn’t see anywhere else.

“So I think if Shaq and I ever do compete, we should have a wrestling competition and then also a free throw contest. He won’t win the free throw contest. We’ll see about the wrestling match.”

An Aiken, South Carolina native, Big Show (Paul Wight) starred in basketball, All-State, for Wyman King Academy in Batesburg, S.C. He played a year at Northern Oklahoma Junior College, earning All-Conference honors before transferring to NCAA Division I Wichita State University in Kansas. Big Show began losing interest in basketball, after the death of his father and the dismissal of Wichita State coach Mike Cohen, the man who recruited him. He transferred to Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, his final basketball stop.

How would Paul Wight have done against Shaq on the basketball court?

“I would not have done very well at all against Shaq,” he said. “He was a much better basketball player than I ever could have been. I would have fouled Shaq so freakin’ bad that he would have gotten pissed off and started a fight with me. That’s the only way I could stop someone like Shaq [on the court].

“Shaq, back in his day, was a man among boys. His quickness, his aggressiveness going to the hole. He wouldn’t have got a free shot off me, and he certainly wouldn’t have got free without taking a shot to the ribs or the nose and then sent to the free throw line. That’s for sure. I mean I would have fouled out in about two minutes, but I would have made his life he## for two minutes.”

Would you rather have a world title match at WrestleMania or a high-profile match against an athlete from another sport?

“Just being involved in WrestleMania is a huge honor,” he said. “There’s only like 10 spots on the entire card available for matches, With the multitude of talent that we have, being in position to you have a match at WrestleMania is a huge honor.

“Of course from an egocentric basis, yea, I like being the man and competing for a world title or wrestling somebody like Mayweather or Akebono or Shaq. It’s all gratifying. Being a part of WrestleMania, being on the card itself and competing is amazing. I’ve been in 11 WrestleManias. That’s an outstanding part of my career, and I’m pretty proud of that.

“I’ve had some big matches, and I really can’t complain. Being on the show, and if I can get a good spot on the card, all is good. It’s an accomplishment in itself just to be able to get a match at WrestleMania. A lot of people don’t.”

• Big Show is is 3-8 in WrestleManias, 0-2 against athletes from other sports and part of Undertaker’s 19-0 WrestleMania record.

• Big Show is a six-time world champ, having won the WCW title twice, the WWF/E title twice, ECW title once, and the World title once, making him the first person to hold all four championships. He is the most recent of four men (Bill Goldberg, Chris Benoit, Booker T) to hold an incarnation of the big gold belt in WCW and WWE.

He also won the WWE United States title once, the World tag team championship five times (twice with The Undertaker, once with Kane, once with Chris Jericho as Jeri-Show, once with The Miz as Show-Miz), the WWE tag team titles three times (once each with Chris Jericho as Jeri-Show, The Miz as Show-Miz, and Kane) and the WWF Hardcore title three times.

• During WCW’s Bash at the Beach in 1994 at the Orlando Arena, Shaq stood in the corner of Hulk Hogan as the Hulkster defeated Ric Flair to win the WCW title.

http://www.youtube.com/wa...ztSKx-6Q0o

• WWE WrestleMania 28 is Sunday, April 1 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens. Big Show is scheduled to face Cody Rhodes, the son of the American Dream Dusty Rhodes, for the Intercontinental title.

Tuesday Blog, HBK, Cena-Rock Winner, Classic Match to Watch, JR at AXXESS, DDP, Austin at WM28, @JRsBBQ on Twitter

Posted in:

Thanks for stopping by and visiting our website. Here's a few Monday Night Raw thoughts and answers to some questions.

I enjoyed Raw and loved seeing the Garden in Boston sold out. Brought back many memories of not only Boston but when MNR regularly sold out with raucous, attitudinal fans.

Adding HBK to the equation inside HIAC w/ HHH vs. the Undertaker is intriguing. Lots of ways to analyze this development. Where will @ShawnMichaels allegiance lie or will he throw us an off speed pitch and call it down the middle? Certainly a case can be made that HBK could have lingering 'issues' with both 'Taker and The Game. It makes for potentially, interesting TV leading to April 1 in Miami.

I still hold steadfast that it's possible for Shawn to 'steal the spotlight' from the other two future, HOF'ers in the match. I'm not sure how but I never question 'Mr. WrestleMania' at this time of the year. If a referee can become the most talked about individual in a marquis match like HIAC it is Shawn Michaels.

Thought the tag match was really good featuring @CMPunk and Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan and @IAmJericho. Appeared Jericho was the illegal man when he got the pin using an inside cradle on the WWE Champion who gutted out the main event level bout with a bad back thanks to the #1 contender.

@TheRock and @JohnCena continued their verbal assault on each other as they build to their long awaited main event at WM28. Expectations for this show closing match, in all probability, at WWE's biggest, annual event continue to rise. Cena and Rock have a tall order awaiting them closing WM28 as I feel the card is strong. The professional angst to close a WrestleMania event is much bigger than many fans perceive. Some talents handle it well, and actually covet the pressure cooker environment, while others don't.

Rock and Cena have been in the position before but speaking from experience, every WrestleMania event brings with it a uniqueness and it's own set of challenges and expectations. This match has been talked about for a year so the expectations for the match quality are greatly enhanced.

With social media evolving and other technological advances in place, the Rock vs. Cena main event at WM28 is arguably the most hyped, talked about WrestleMania bout of all time.

It will be great to get to Miami in a few weeks to soak up the atmosphere for WWE's Super Bowl and I'm hoping to see and meet many fans at WWE AXXESS where JR's products will be sold at the WWE Merchandise stand at AXXESS.

At this time, JR's line of delicious products is only available online except for the 4, Norman, Oklahoma Homeland Stores. We are endeavoring to get into more stores but the process is time consuming and challenging. I've never been one to back away from challenges and we will continue to work at growing our brand.

For some reason, a minority of UK fans can't understand why it is so imperative that WWE PPV's be live in the USA at 7 pm eastern time. I simply can't see WWE doing tape delayed PPV's and to be live in North America at 7 eastern the live event in the UK would have to start well after midnight. That's just not feasible. Perhaps that philosophy will change and/or I'm wrong but that's my take on the UK PPV matter that we are asked about daily.

Please visit http://www/wweshop.com/Category/JimRoss to browse what WWEShop is doing and to place your March Madness and WrestleMania tailgate orders. The UK business is superb and they are a solid #2 behind only the USA in orders placed.

One thing that shouldn't be any issue shipping virtually any where is JR's Cookbook which I personally sign and that features many of my family's recipes, BBQ and Grilling tips and stories from the world of wrestling.

Is Flair a 16 time champion? At least and likely more as some title changes weren't officially recognized for a variety of reasons. I've heard the number is closer to 20 but that's speculation but I do know it's more than 16.

Who's the greatest promo talent of all time? I hate to answer a question with a question but how does one determine that answer? I sure can't. If I were to name 10 great talkers, I would invariably leave out three times that many that deserve to be on the list. It's too subjective. It would be like saying let's get a consensus as to the greatest rock band of all time. Can that be done? Not likely.

Will JR ever 'wrestle' (term used loosely) Michael Cole again? I don't see why we should as that storyline has been done and is over as far as I'm concerned. I'd suggest using valuable TV time for young talents who MUST get over the hump to begin selling tickets and PPV's.

Will @SteveAustinBSR be at WrestleMania this year? I've heard nothing about any plans for Steve to attend even though I know that the WWE HOF is one of his favorite events. Personally I hope that he does as it's always good to catch up with him. As far as Austin being on the card, I'd definitely say no.

While you are here may I suggest to take a moment and read through some of our latest blogs as they answer so many questions that we receive over and over again.

@JRsBBQ on Twitter is over 370,000 strong and growing about 5,000 new followers weekly. The amount of Tweets that we receive on any given day is overwhelming. I do my best to answer as many as I can but there is no way to answer them all. Plus, we get so many of the same questions. Point is...if I don't answer your Tweet don't take it personally and refrain from squealing like a pig stuck under a gate. If it pains you that much or you are that insecure, just stop following me. Easy, right? Tip...take time to read our timeline.

Do I care who wins between Rock and Cena at WM28? No. I just want to see one helluva wrestling match that takes me on an unforgettable ride where someone either gets pinned or is made to submit. It's good that fans take sides but for those that love to bash, for bashing's sake, both Rock AND Cena, I find that one hard to fathom.

Best way to use JR's All Purpose Seasoning? Use it as a dry rub on meats or just as you would utilize any seasoning such as salt and pepper. It's that versatile and enhances the flavor of any meat as well as vegetables.

How does my city get WrestleMania? The city fathers make a formal proposal to WWE about being the host city. Lots of fans in Indianapolis wanting WrestleMania after the successful Super Bowl there. Indy might be a great WM site at Lucas Oil Stadium but the same people in city government need to pitch WWE just as they did the NFL. That goes for every city that covets hosting a WrestleMania.

Do you missing broadcasting? Of course. One doesn't do their lifelong passion, stop and not miss it. Or at least I don't. At the same time, I have many interests and am blessed to live such a wonderful life with zero regrets. I wouldn't change a thing about my life except I'd likely ask to not have experienced Bells palsy three times. I miss whistling.

Where can fans get info on the annual CAC banquet in Vegas taht will be attended by some of wrestling's biggest stars? Easy, just check out http://www.caulifloweralleyclub.org. My seminar is on Tuesday April 17 and the must attend banquet is on Wednesday April 18 at the Gold Coast Hotel.

How's Tony Schiavone? He's working hard at WSB Radio in Atlanta and can be followed on Twitter @TonySchiavone24. We had some great times together and I always enjoyed working with him at ringside. Our call of the 1st Clash of Champions is one of my most enjoyable memories. We even roomed together at times to save money when money was tight at Crockett Promotions. I'm happy that we have been able to reconnect via Twitter. Any perceived issues that Tony and I had were largely amplified by lame, wrestling politics.

I'm told that a limited number of $25 tickets for WM28 and the WWE HOF Ceremony are still available at the respective box offices and via Ticketmaster. My best guess is that WM28 will do somewhere around 75,000 fans when all in.

Will DDP ever wrestle in WWE again? I'm out of that loop these days but my guess would be no. I think DDP has moved on to other projects especially his yoga and some film work. He could likely still have some good bouts. Smart in ring performer. When I saw him during a Legends Roundtable taping he looked fit.

You asked...yes all our BBQ Sauces and JR's Chipotle Ketchup are vegan friendly. The Main Event Mustard has a hint of honey in it so that may disqualify it from vegan consideration.

Would you like to be more involved with the OKC Thunder? Not sure in what way but, yes, I'm a huge @okcthunder fan and feel that I could help them grow in many ways here in Oklahoma.

What's an underrated match to watch? Curt Hennig vs. Jerry Lawler AWA Title bout from late 80's. Two of the best of all time. I still say that if King could choose between wrestling and broadcasting it would take him about a second to say wrestling. It's in his DNA and he's still excellent at it. I wonder how many young wrestlers in FCW have ever studied King's work from Memphis?

Excited to be heading Tampa and FCW for a few days next week. The future of WWE lies in their development program as that's where tomorrow's stars are cultivated. I'm anxious to see who's putting in the extra work and commitment with the sole goal of headlining WrestleMania some day. If it's not about that, then they're in the wrong place.

Would I like to do a sitdown interview with Cena/Rock? Any thing to help the WWE team.

Punk/Jericho would also be and interesting sitdown interview. Or HHH/HBK. Bottom line is that it isn't about me but what's good for the company and making WM28 as big as it can be.

Follow us on Twitter @JRsBBQ. Be well and never fail to count your blessings.

Boomer Sooner!

WWE Star My Unborn Baby Did Not Survive the Birth

WWE star Kia Stevens

WWE star Kia "Kharma" Stevens did not deliver a healthy baby boy on December 31st, despite what she told friends. Kia tells TMZ the child tragically died before she was able to give birth.

Kia tells us she is still devastated over the loss ... and initially lied to friends about the child being "healthy" because she was incredibly emotional and was afraid to tell the public the truth after announcing her pregnancy on live TV.

Kia says she's finally coming to grips with everything ... and wants to help other women in her situation.

"I am planning to start a foundation for women that have experienced the same thing" ... Kia says ... adding, "It's a bigger club than people think."

Kia tells us she's already organizing several events to raise awareness ... and will have information about her foundation available on her Twitter page in the near future.

Very sad, indeed. sad

John Cena posted the following on Twitter yesterday, thanking fans for messages about his brother and saying he's ready for The Rock next week.

"Thanks to all those with messages of support for my bro. #livestrong

"And on another note..has anybody seen @therock ? Because the guy who shows up looking like him really sucks. Prep school thug will be ready for cleveland. Hope great one has is notes right. I meant musical notes...not notes on his hand."

Cena's referring to The Rock's upcoming "Rock" concert and his own rap performance on next week's Raw. This should be good for a laugh.

WWE Champion CM Punk spoke with the Toucher & Rich show in Boston earlier this week. Punk was asked about his "Twitter wars" with Chris Brown and Shawne Merriman.

"They're not Twitter wars. They're not. The Merriman thing isn't even anything. That dates back a couple of years now. We were in Costa Rica, there was a bunch of us lounging around a pool. I think it was me and Ted DiBiase, we were watching this goof run back and forth. He would literally go into the little poolside gym, do some bicep curls and then walk around us, hoping that some of the Divas would notice. A couple of the girls got up to leave to go get ready for the show and some big fat white guy came out of nowhere and I saw him handing out business cards to the girls."

Punk went on and said that the man handing out business cards was Merriman's manager or publicist. Punk said that Gail Kim got up to leave and Merriman pursued her. Punk told a story of watching the awkward situation where Gail was trying to get around Merriman and avoid him.

source: WrestlingInc

I can believe Merriman's interest in my baby Gail because she's his type. Remember, his ex-girlfriend is Tila Tequila. Same type look.

Hulk Hogan I'm the VICTIM in a Sex Tape Setup

0307_hulk_hogan_EX_02

Hulk Hogan says the sex tape being shopped to porn companies was "secretly filmed" WITHOUT his permission ... and claims the footage is nothing less than an "outrageous invasion of privacy."

TMZ broke the story ... the grainy video which has already been shopped to Vivid Entertainment features Hulk and a mystery brunette. It's unclear when the tape was shot.

Now, Hulk's lawyer David Houston has released a statement ... saying, "Terry Bollea is appalled at the unauthorized release of a secretly filmed video."

He adds, "[Hulk] neither approved of the filming nor the release of the same. It is clearly an outrageous invasion of privacy and breach of trust if it is genuine. We will take all necessary steps to enforce both civil and criminal liability.”

I can only imagine how awful that fuckin' tape looks like. disbelief Still though, it's a funny ass revelation!!

I was wondering why she was taking so long to permanently come back, and now I see why. A tragic event like this wears down on you psycologically, so she's probably not yet up to the task of being on the road and on TV every week. Hope she and her fiance are doing all right (or as well as can be expected when something like his happens).
