Yeah, but Cena was only out there for a couple of lines, PLUS when The Rock has given a "concert", he's ALWAYS had the lyrics on a band stand in front of him. So, they both did what they have done before.

And, I don't see how it was supposed to be a "battle" when they didn't ask the audience to text a vote or vote via the internet on who they thought should win. There's nothing to "win", per se. disbelief

And L4OA, how did you like the wrinkle they put in the Punk/Jericho feud with Jericho talking about Punk's alcoholic father? LMAO!! Interesting, but I think the feud may have jumped the shark with that shit. lol

Linda Hogan I Want to See Hulk's Sex Tape!

Linda Hogan wants to see the Hulk Hogan sex tape
Count Linda Hogan among those who want to see Hulk Hogan's sex tape -- but get your mind out of the gutter ... it's because she thinks it will help her defense in Hulk's lawsuit against her.

As TMZ first reported, a sex tape featuring the wrestling legend is being shopped to Vivid Entertainment ... a tape Hogan says was made without his knowledge.

Sources close to Linda tell TMZ she'd like to get a look at the tape because she feels it could be a key piece of evidence in Hulk's defamation lawsuit against Linda. Hulk sued Linda last year ... claiming she was lying when, in her book, she alleged Hulk was abusive and cheated on her.

We're told Linda would like to figure out when the tape was made because it could help her prove Hulk was a cheater. According to our sources, if Linda can figure out who has the tape, she'll attempt to subpoena them for her case.

Hulk told TMZ this week he has been faithful to his current wife Jennifer, so the tape is at least five years old.

For those who missed last night's Raw:

Cena (entrance starts at 2:20):

The Rock:

One of the plans for John Cena vs. The Rock at WrestleMania 28 would see interference from another WWE Superstar towards the end of the match. This isn't confirmed but speculation is that The Miz may interfere.

source: F4WOnline

Oh God, NO!! It's probably already going to stink up the joint without his interference (because Cena WILL indeed be winning), but this? disbelief I have to believe this is just a stupid dirt sheet rumor.

when the rock started strumming, the first thing tha popped into my mind was that the music was the same lol well cena's "rapping style" is the same too ..r truth has more style and flow imo

as 4 jericho that was kind of low 2 bring that up ..but punk sold it. jerhico and rock have been mad rusty on the mic but at least punk slams jerhico on the mic

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Just watched the clip...I thought the Rock concert was funny. Set up for cheap pops, but it was funny.

Havent watched Cena's and probably won't. That old rapping gimmick of his just really pisses me off and I have no interest in seeing it.

Yeah, I agree. Like I said, The Rock's bit was pretty decent except for that last We Will Rock You karaoke thing (and also because he pandering to the crowd like all faces do, and the Rock is MUCH better when playing a heel)!

Why would the Miz interfere in Rock/Cena's match? What kind of sense does that make? That whole bit about Jericho talking about Punk's dad is stupid too. Damn, these fools ain't even creative anymore. I'm thinking of watching Wrestlemania actually but if I see more stupid stuff I'll bow out. WM is usually one of the only wrestling ppv's I'm willing to actually pay for.

WWE’s Booker T advises young talent ‘to be quick’

The Bookend uncovered The Rock Bottom

jvarsallone@MiamiHerald.com

WWE SmackDown color commentator and long-time sports entertainment superstar Booker T is in a good place in his career, helping younger talent with words of wisdom on the mic and backstage.

Booker T, 46, a singles and tag team star, has won 35 major titles in his 22-year career, and he doesn’t mind returning to the ring either as he did against WWE Intercontinental champ Cody Rhodes.

During an interview, Booker T offered advice to younger talent as he’s learned some valuable lessons.

“I came up with The Bookend. That was my move, and then Rock stole it and made it the Rock Bottom,” Booker T chuckled. “He made it even more famous than The Bookend. That’s part of the business. I wanted to say, ‘Do you smell what I’m cooking?’ Probably at the same time he did, but he took it and made money on it. That’s the thing. You’ve got to be innovative. You’ve got to be quick.

“That’s what I encourage these young guys to do. It’s about competition. It’s not about the buddy system.

“Of course, we’re friends, but this is a business, and you’ve got to go out there and treat it like a business. You’ve got to think about being better than the next guy. These young guys really got to focus, if they want to work at the top of the card, if they want to be in that main event, if they want to carry the World title, if they want to be the WWE champion. They’ve got to really put their thinking cap on and really focus on what it’s going to take for them to get in that position. It’s a test each and every day.”

• WWE WrestleMania Week begins Thursday, March 29 with WWE Axxess, a four-day interactive fan festival at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

WrestleMania Week also features the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami and WrestleMania 28 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens.

Well, they announced it would be in NY/NJ a couple of weeks ago. JR did say that cities prepare proposals and present them to the WWE for consideration to host WM every year. So basically, the city who's willing to pony up the most cash (and have a big enough venue) will get the big show that year. smile

Wrestling-speaking, yeah, that'd be the shit. But it wouldn't draw enough to headline WM, just by itself. Sting would have to get involved or some shit for WWE to make this their go-to, headline match for WM.

I still would love to see a Punk/Austin feud, though. You know Austin's due for at least one more match.

You're right about Punk-Danielson not being a big enough draw (which is why I gripe so much about American wrestling), and I'd love to see Austin have another run, but this crap of the "stars" coming back for one shot matches is bullshit.

If Austin is going to go at it with Punk or anyone else, they need to BUILD it, and not through week after week of promos. Shit talking is cool, but ass kicking has got to go with it. Jericho-Punk really isn't grabbing my attention, but at least Lionheart is in the ring WORKING leading up to the big show.

I know Austin has physical limitations, but come on...if they can bring Hogan back like they did in 2002 and get a few months of action out of him, Austin can definitely do better.

The Rock...there's no excuse for him to just be running his mouth for months leading up to WM. What was the point of him working the Survivor Series and then going back to sitting on his ass for four months? PRIMA DONNA!

hehehe valid points and ur right that the rock should be getting in matches by now. my guess is they don't want 2 take the chance of the rock, trips, undertaker getting hurt thus killing wrestlemania...wait they already are killing it with their "build ups" lol

Yeah, if you notice, NONE of the big names in the big WM matches are getting involved physically in anything, at least on TV. I do know Cena has had some Raw dark tag team matches and may have worked at live events (I don't know for sure on that one). So, I'm sure they're saving EVERYBODY for WM, and not just The Rock.

Kurrgan: WWE made my acting career possible

BOXING CLEVER ... Robert Maillet in new movie The Big Bang
BOXING CLEVER ... Robert Maillet in new movie The Big Bang
Exclusive
Published: Today at 14:41

WHILE many wrestlers have tried their hands at the acting business over the decades, few have had big budget success.

Yet joining The Rock among the handful who have struck Hollywood gold is the man once known as Kurrgan.

A star in the WWE in the late 1990s, the gigantic Robert Maillet is instead now making his name in box-office smashes including 300 and Sherlock Holmes.

And he took time out of promoting his latest release, The Big Bang, to look back on his previous life as a professional wrestler.

Speaking exclusively to SunSport, he told us: "I guess I've been wrestling for about 22 or 23 years now. I was always a big fan as a kid and loved watching Hulk Hogan, Randy 'Macho Man' Savage and all those other talented and colourful guys.

"My friends suggested I should give wrestling a go and with my size and enthusiasm for the industry I thought why not.

"So I talked a local trainer into letting me join his programme and in turn I began to tour the Canadian circuit. Due to my height and build I was pushed straight away and got to appear on the majority of the cards.

"Through my appearances across Canada I got the opportunity to travel and wrestled in Japan and Mexico. I had some great experiences there, learning as much about the business as possible.

AT EASE, SOLDIER ... in the WWE as part of the Truth Commission
AT EASE, SOLDIER ... in the WWE as part of the Truth Commission

"There's so much to learn and take in that it taught me to just take everything in and use it to my own benefit each time I got in the ring."

Maillet added: "My time in the WWE came about through a friend who knew Bret Hart. I was always a fan of the WWE and I was amazed to get an offer to join such an organisation.

"Bret had heard all about my career to date then. He liked what he saw and they flew me to Calgary.

"I was trained even further by Bret, he is a real legend and taught me well. The next thing I knew I was being signed up by the WWE and never looked back."

Robert's time with the WWE came at the height of the Attitude Era. Despite never expecting to appear on TV, he found fame as part of the Truth Commission stable and later the Oddities.

He told us: "Appearing on Raw was an honour. To then be added to live tours, PPV events and even have toys made of me was simply unbelievable. I loved every moment of it.

"Of course there were times I did sit and worry about things, especially before a taping or event.

HEAD SHOT ... Maillet's acting profile picture
HEAD SHOT ... Maillet's acting profile picture

"You'd arrive at the arena and have to wait to hear if you were being used and how that may be. So I'd never be sure where my character would be going or who he'd be fighting and that was unnerving.

"Life in the WWE was hard too, I was on the road and I had a young family, so I missed them a lot. I was lucky though, when you are on the road there are many risks and a lot of the guys end up 'damaged'. I was very fortunate indeed."

Kurrgan was released by the WWE in 1999, an initial blow that then led to a major acting career.

Maillet looks back on that time with a mixture of nostalgia and pride, but no regrets.

He admitted: "I was of course very upset when I got released by the WWE. I was heartbroken in fact, but you soon realise that it is simply business and that wrestling is a business and these decisions need to be made.

"They had given me many chances to prove myself, I feel I made my mark there and most importantly I got to live my dream of being a professional wrestler like I always hoped I could. I had my chance to shine in the WWE, they gave me that opportunity.

ODD BUNCH ... in the WWE as part of The Oddities
ODD BUNCH ... in the WWE as part of The Oddities

"I never feel in any way bad about my time there wrestling. Without wrestling I would not be where I am today.

"My wrestling background has certainly helped my acting career. I was used to learning scripts/dialogue and knew how to work in front of cameras. It's a different process, but that previous experience has certainly helped me. Acting is more defined and less over the top than wrestling needs to be.

"My WWE past has given me the chance to pursue acting as a career and so far I've been very lucky. I've been in movies like 300, Sherlock Holmes and many others, with each one my roles get bigger and I get to learn more.

"I have also got to work with some of the world's biggest A-list actors, I thank the WWE for helping me achieve that."

Rhino will make his return to ROH on April 7th at the Du Burns Arena in Baltimore, MD. He will be competing in an ROH "Proving Grounds" match against whomever happens to be the World title holder at the time. If Rhino is able to gain a victory in the match, he will be awarded a future World title match. The match will take place at the TV tapings later that evening.

The last time Rhino was seen in ROH, he was the bodyguard for Prince Nana and Embassy Ltd. at Death Before Dishonor IX. He will continue to be a member of the Embassy upon his return.

I should go check this shit out. Good to see he's still working. I have a special place in my heart for the REAL ECW organization (and not that WWE-cancered bullshit they were peddling a few years ago)! I'll definitely be copping (read: downloading) that new DVD with more classic ECW encounters that WWE's putting out later on this year.

I was reading comments on a dirt sheet earlier...one guy predicted the finish for Rock-Cena.

He predicts the Rock will win over Cena and that this will turn Cena heel. He'll be much edgier in 2012 and challenge the Rock again for WM29. This time, Cena goes in as WWE champ and it's a title match, which Cena wins.

At first, I was like whatever, but the more I think about it, this somewhat makes sense. It explains how they plan to pack another stadium next spring and how they can change the public perception of Cena, making him more accepted by the fan base (good luck with that one Vince).

Thoughts?
