Thanks Martina. I know I'm pretty, but I also know I'm aging, and FAST! lol Your also beautiful and the thing I love about your look is how you don't try to fit a mold.

i'd like to think that, just as all women are not into men for their money, not all men are into women purely for their looks. at least, i'd like to think that.

[Edited 12/22/11 10:45am]

I'm not saying men are only into women for their looks. Not at all.

Women think defferently from men though. Well I mean typically. Men are so much more visual.

It's like how some men have a double standard. This is something I have a hard time with, and I TRY to accept that it's just the way it is, but it's hard. Anyway, they have a double standard of they don't want their wives or women parading around looking like "trash".....YET what do THEY THEMSELVES like to look at? Just like a lot of men say they don't like when women to wear a lot of makeup, but yet once again......how many of the women they're staring at are parading around with that smokey eye thing goin on? Ugh. Ya, this is something I have a hard time accepting, but it's true.

Exactly.

The illusions are powerful, that is why TV & magazines are filled with hot young women and rich men.

But it dissipates really quickly, and you stop seeing hot strangers and start seeing XxAxX, TotalAnxiousness, Serious, Justerin... So what you see in the long term is the person.

Even if you are Hefner and get yourself a new young illusion (or three) every year, eventually you have not only an illusion of beauty, but an illusion of love. And that seems pretty unattractive.

this woman earnestine shepard at 74 yrs can be considered haute, beautiful and hot. perhaps not hot in the mindset of today's hot-seekers (in i wanna get with her hot), but in the healthy wonderful side of "hot."

imo Ms Earnestine Shepard is hot! 2010 and 2011

In Rome, Italy on March18, 2010, Ernestine received the Guinness World Record Award for the Oldest Female Bodybuilder. Washington Post Magazine profile of Ernestine Shepherd. April 27, 2010

Taut abs and rippling muscles aren't exactly the stuff grandmothers are known for. But then again neither are marathons and cell phones that play the theme to "Rocky."

At 73, Ernestine Shepherd is in better shape than most people decades her junior. Up at 3 a.m. every morning, she spends her days running, lifting weights and working out other senior citizens at the Union Memorial United Methodist Church in Baltimore. She also works as a certified personal trainer at her gym.

"I feel better than I did at 40," she said. "I am very, very happy."

In less than 20 years, Shepherd has morphed from a "prissy" woman who never exercised to the Guinness Book of World Records' oldest female bodybuilder.

A die-hard "Rocky" fan -- "Sylvester Stallone is my man," she cooed -- Shepherd is preparing for a body building competition this weekend.

"I feel now that I am a very strong, positive and confident woman," she said. "Years ago I concerned myself about what people said concerning me. But when you get 70-something and you don't have that many years in front of you, you don't concern yourself with that."

I'm insecure the way it is but I wouldn't be mean. I get along better with people younger than me usually.

I don't think age has anything to do with being "hot". The only reason it would make a difference is because of fertility, and on an evolutionary scale, that's an attracting factor.

But really, to all women here who say it goes away as you age. I've seen your pictures. I think you guys look great. Not "great for your age", but actually beautiful. Any woman younger or older would be thrilled if they looked like you. Perhaps you shouldn't subscribe to society's perceptions of what is "hotness"?

If there's something wrong with society's perception, then you don't have to buy it. And you wouldn't be the only one who thinks that way.

It's also not fair that we always focus on women.

Men age too, and there is no way that Harrison Ford (I just saw the Fugitive) looks as good now as he did in Raiders.

But for some reason he doesn't ever have to worry about it? Strange.

Blame women for not being as superficial as men. It's their own fault for men not having to worry about looking haggard as they grow older. Women are too accepting.

The example of gay men having an even shorter shelf life than women was already mentioned. Men are terrible, straight or gay.

Stating the obvious...I don't think that 35 (or any other age) is the magic number when a woman stops being hot. Taking personal taste into consideration, just look at Jennifer Aniston (42) and Cindy Crawford (45) and Sting's wife Iman (50-something) - all hot IMO.

And all I said was after a certain age things change and not for the better. The women listed are exceptions...although I think Cindy Crawford looks old and Jennifer was never hot. Iman looks hot for an old broad...just like Dani was saying earlier.

But everyone I have seen looks just about as good as they did. Some look a little better and some look a little worse

i just have to add this.

the entire thread reeks of the bullshit socialized ideas about women(by men) that they accept as good and right... COMPLETE BULLSHIT!!! just the fact that there are several women who have commented here that apsire "to be hot" as if that's the only import that we women have. life as a woman on the planet is not about getting and keeping men's attention i hate that other women accept this to be the case. sad, pathetic... it hurts my heart one woman to another.

cheers to the person who mentioned that men are never critiqued in the same way. why should we as woman accept this double standard? "that's just the way it is" and remains so bcos we women don't insist that things change. as a woman its hard for me to believe that so many women agree to this treatment by soceity that they agree to the shame and mistreatment.......

is it really any different from all abuse victims who say " well things will get better if i just keep appeasing them, changing my life according to their ideas about how i should be."

the whole damn thing is sick!!

From my male POV, it depends on the age of the person doing the looking as much as the person being looked at. When I was 20 I would never have thought a 50 year old woman was hot. Now that I'm almost 40 I find a lot of women in their 50s to be very "hot".

And bullshit that men aren't judged. rolleyes That's some complete nonsense right there. Women judge men more often and more harshly than men judge women, believe me. I'm not talking about "lookls". Everything is not just about looks, even though every women's magazine on Earth would have you believe it is. Men look at women and make shallow judgements - nothing new there. Women get together and tear apart every aspect of a person's "manhood".

Commenting on wanting to be "hot" does not automatically mean that the person saying it only wants to be hot with no other amazing qualities. That this is ALL the aspire to be.

Please, as I said earlier...people aspire to be the best they can be in every way. Why is it such a fucking crime to also wish to be attractive?

It isn't.

Oh, and sure there are some fine looking women in their 40's.
But to keep it fair,
there are also a shitload of young 20 year olds out there that can increase the mass & density of my dick within nanoseconds by just the way they look. Which makes 'em hot, on an instantaneous level.
I'll be honest with you guys (I mean, not that I've lied to anyone since I've joined this site, it's just that, well....I'm not gonna start now....],
I love young women.
Alot.
