Not for everyone.

Yes, things change, but not everything is downhill.

(There are people under 35 who have an uphill battle...)

With age (for some) comes a more refined sense of taste, and the resources to "make it happen".

I was out reecently and ran into someone I went to high school with. He didn't recognize me because he said that I look way better than I did back then...

Even with the extra pounds, gray hair, and other "things", I am more confident and self-assured... which translates into "hot".

But like painted said, "So many people do not have to think you are "hot"... just the right person."

Hey, awesome if you guys all think you're just as (or more) hot now then you were when you were younger.

I know when I was considered "hot" by most men and it was waaaay before I hit 35...and I fully accept that. I think most women peak in attractiveness between 30-35, then all that good starts to go bad. It's kind of depressing but there is nothing you can do about it.

when i was young i made the mistake of buying into that shit. but, then i learned what real 'hotness' is, and now i no longer limit myself to some version of the nip and tuck kardashian ideal.

when you allow your own self-worth to be defined by how men react to you, remember that's just men telling you how *you* make *them* feel. it has little to do with *you*, except as how you are seen reflected in their eyes.

real, true hot is a state of body AND mind, worn by the select few who have their phsyical and mental shit together*.

I look better and feel sexier now at 36 than I ever did in my 20's.

I was fairly physically attractive around 17-21 but I didn't know it. I thought I was hideous.

After 21 I was quirky-cute up through about 33.

Inciedentally, I don't think I'm "hot" now. lol I just know I feel better about my looks than I ever did before.

But I recognize, my path is likely different than others.

Yeah, I think everyone ages differently and goes through different phases. Lifestyle has a lot to do with how well we age, obviously.

I know myself, I was an ugly ducking in my pre and early teens, then from like 17ish really started to blossom.

I think the hottest I was, was ages 27-30. I no longer smoked, ate healthy, and worked out religiously.

Since then going through my divorce, I smoke again, and all of the other stresses of the last few years have really taken a toll on my skin and body. I lost a SHITLOAD of hair after having Madi, and the weight gains and losses over the years have destroyed me. Ugh.....plus I REALLY need to quit smoking again, cut back on the caffiene, and start getting more sleep.

Just wait. There will come an age when you will be hot - literally - whether you want to be or not.

I don't think so at all.

Sure it is shallow and even silly but so what? People always wish to be the best they can be in every way and I see nothing wrong with that.

All this talk about self love and confidence, "real hotness" and being hot is a state of mind is great and all (even though I totally disagree) but that's not really what the OP asked about. She asked when a woman stops being hot to men and I took it as being the most physically hot to them.

I'm just bitter about the fact that I'm no longer in my 20's and look like a fool if I TRY to look like I'm in my 20s. I'm very bitter about the whole thing.

Like how I dress, I guess. I still haven't made the transition from juniors to I'm an adult yet, and I'm sure I look pretty stupid at times. lol For instance I don't think I, well I KNOW I don't, own a single pair of jeans that don't have holes and shit in them.

Whatever, dress how you want. I personally don't get the whole certain ages need to dress a certain way. Like, each age has an appropriate uniform we all must wear. Now you're supposed to wear skirts to your calf and tucked in blouses because you're in your 30s. Please...

However, most kids in their 20s have horrible style. lol

I kee saying I'm going to get a nice pair of jeans. But whenever I have the money I always get drawn to the distressed ones.

Right now my fave new ensemble is skinny jeans, my cheap furry rocket dog boots, bubble sweaters w a tunic.

It's all attitude and how much you take care of yourself. I've said it before, I'll say it again. I don't believe in getting plastic surgery for stuff that can't be taken care of by healthy diet, exercise, and a good skin care regimen (overall hygiene).

This is it right here. It's all about taking care of yourself(and good genetics helps too). People are always shocked when they find out I'm 50 - they tell me I look 30ish. All that weight-lifting for the past 25 years has paid off. I don't have a beer gut and I'm keeping it that way. smile

So I've just done some investigating. And I've decided that at 33 I'm still pretty damn hot as long as I'm wearing a push up bra and you don't look at me from the neck up.

I work near a university, I seriously expected her to be 20.

I notice that sometimes when men turn around and look at me from the front after having payed attention to what I look like from the back and they are surprised about my age when they see my face neutral.

How do you know how they look at you from behind? smile

Ya. Were not talking about FEELING hot. Although a good self esteem makes your more attractive.....were talking about other people thinking your hot.

Like, I think I'm pretty cute, Erin is pretty cute, but we are also "hot for our age" which only translates to ya your hot but I'd rather bang a 23 year old.

It's like saying 'you look good for just being in a major car accident' to someone with 3rd degree burns and laserations all over their body.

lol Well they walk behind me, then speed up and when they are walking in front of me they turn around and look at me. So my guess is that they checked me out while having walked behind me wink.

lol You're also hot for someone with so many kids!

It's a complicated thing, I see a thousand 18-22 year olds every day, and they are really hot because everything is so young and firm and carefree, but they are totally unattractive for how I could not relate to them at all.

Erin always asks why men marry "plain Janes" and it kind of applies to this situation. "Hotness" really is relative unless maybe you are talking only about looking at a picture of someone. That's why every model is under 30.

But that is largely just illlusion, and in real life hotness really does come partly from personality. Don't take my word for it, look at the men you like!!! They don't have to look like models if they can make you laugh, right?
