No. HMV is no mom-and-pop store. They do not get their copies way ahead of time, and they strictly adhere to the street dates as the sales are tracked. Friday is the release date.

I heard that "I Wanna Be Your Lover" synth riff at the end of Night too and nearly lost it!! She changed a couple of chords tho so thats why its not in the credits... Also, I LOVE the "Wanna Be Starting Something" sample at the end of Broken Hearts Heal...i'm glad its at the songs end so that it doesnt consume the whole song.

This album is a certified banger. There are NO bad songs...my fave so far is Dammn Baby...its like her own unique spin on Jidenna's "Classic Man". Radio will eat that up and I now see thats the song she kept referring to with her conversations in a cafe social media blitz...and Black Eagle is the sexiest song I've ever heard thats not about sex LOL The Great Forever sounds so much better when I hear the whole thing. Its obviously very much an ode to MJ's Leave Me Alone...Its very child like with her sneezing and frog sounds thrown in but i like the message...After You Fall is like the saddest ballad shes ever done..i cant help but think she thought of MJ writing that....She has a lot of single choices.

This is easily janets best album since Rhythm Nation... its so diverse, it even tops janet.

DAMN Baby indeed! the hype is becoming palapable. i've only broken down to hear BIU but I gotta figure out how I'm going to listen to this. My 3 year old put a penny in the disc changer in the Flex so my PREFERRED way of listening to music (hop in the car and RIDE) is "out the door" but yeah, heading to Target after coffee on Friday.

I'll have to not be a "stan fan" as a married man now but if this album delivers the good like it seems. Wife will have to "tag along" when she comes back in Feb. (I supposedly said "goodbye" as did she to LL on the RWU tour but he was a no-show in Detroit) still my once upon a future baby mama

Those of you who have heard the album already, do you think they jumped the gun and released "Burnitup!" prematurely? Do you feel that was the best choice to promote the album at this point? Just curious....Thoughts?

A high energy dance track featuring Missy Elliott would be hard to beat.

Damn, I can't wait to hear these songs. Even the Wall Street Journal had positive things to say about this album. Looks like I will be at the local Target store on Friday to buy the CD with bonus songs before I get the regular one I ordered online... I'd really like to hear it in full before I go to the concert next week!

I think BIU is good for the people that were eager to hear her on the dancefloors again. BIU has more an overall pop appeal...but Dammn Baby will get the Urban crowd back on board. It's got just enough of that trap music influence for the younger demo to notice her again...she needs to do a video as soon as that song drops tho...with hot choreo of course. They will play this in the hood clubs for sure! 2 B Loved sounds like it would do really well on Urban too...its like Doesnt Really Matter with a Chris Brown-esque modern feel that just screams for a remix feat Breezy...would be perfect for next summer (if she's still releasing singles then LOL)

I think she should continue to do the double single releases hitting 2 formats at once. She just serviced Unbreakable to Adult R&B radio this week since No Sleep got & continues to get so much airplay on that format. And I'm pretty sure BIU is being sent to pop.

I forgot to mention earlier Janets vocals on this project are freakin AMAZING!! I can probably decipher 75% of them without the cd booklet. She doesnt whisper much on any of these songs at all. Dammn Baby might be the only exception because of the auto-tune distortion, but it fits that songs style perfectly.

You're probably right. They need to go ahead already and send it to the appropriate radio formats.

I just couldn't wait until the physical CD got here... I found the album and it was everything I hoped for. Listening to The Great Forever... Damn, I love this song. Especially poignant for me, personally, since I lost a dear friend recently.

I like many others have been waiting on her to open her mouth and just sing. Her natural tone quality is beautiful when she projects her voice. Not to mention those freakin "plush" stacked harmonies.

This is an awesome album! Definitely in my top 3 for this year.

I really hope she does more songs from this album on tour. Gon' Be Alright would souond amazing! The Great Pretender is probably my favourite. Honourable mentions to Black Eagle, Broken Hearts Heal, Well Travelled and Shoula Known Better.
