CynicKill

I'm toying with buying 3 copies; one for me, the other for my sister and the last for a friend I'd like to expose to it but probably won't appreciate it.

Beyonce Shows Support For Frank Ocean, Frank Releases “Sweet Life”

Singer Frank Ocean is the latest subject of Beyonce Knowle’s ‘BEY Inspired’ blog posts, which is a series of letters celebrating the likes of Michelle Obama, Sade and famous figures who have inspired Beyonce along the way. A few days after Frank Ocean posted an open letter on his Tumblr, detailing a story of falling in love with a guy at the age of 19, Beyonce posted a photo of Frank with the words, ‘Be Fearless, Be Honest, Be Generous, Be Brave, Be Poetic, Be Open, Be Free, Be Yourself, Be In Love, Be Happy, Be Inspiration’ scribbled on it.

Beyonce was first introduced to Frank Ocean last year after she heard Jay-z bumping his mixtape in their whip. Weeks later, Frank played her a track he wrote titled, ‘I Miss You’ which brought her to tears and she recorded it for her album ’4′.

In other news, Frank released a new track yesterday titled ‘Sweet Life’ co-produced by his idol Pharrell Williams. “Sweet Life” is a sun-drenched tale of a California crush who had it easy their whole life. In the song, Frank uses adjectives and metaphors to describe a heartthrob who he compares to the best song on the album saying, “The best song wasn’t the single, but you weren’t either.”

“You’ve had a landscaper and a house keeper since you were born.
The starshine always kept you warm
So why see the world, when you got the beach
Don’t know why see the world, when you got the beach
The sweet life”

Take a Listen below:

Sweet Life is hot.

Which song do you think Frank will perform tonight on Jimmy Fallon? He'll be backed by The Roots too. Must see!

Frank said there will be a string section, so I'm guessing Thinking Bout You.

nod Some people have bashed it for being too simple, but I think that's the best part about it.

Lil scrappy is the last person that need to be making any comments on Frank. He needs to keep his mouth close & have several seats. Before his private business comes back to surface & haunt him..

Apparently with the exception of two interpolations (I forget who) the whole album is sample free, which ALWAYS impresses me.
