The only reasons I dig her is she had a nice body (check her nudes) and she had her baby raised by Todd Rundgren when Steven Tyler was a real major fuckup.

The essence of the thread is that there is a suggestion that 'Little Red Corvette', by Prince, was written about Bebe Buell.

The only thing that seems to substantiate this is apparently the line, 'Baby, you're much too fast', which she possibly claimed was 'Bebe, you're much too fast'.

Buell has claimed that she acquired the name. 'Bebe', because she was born at a time when her father was not around - presumably he was unavailable to give the staff the child's intended name. As it was 14th July (Bastille Day), the nurses therefore apparently decided to start calling her simply 'baby' in French i.e. bébé. All this, despite being born in Virginia, USA.

These things can happen, I guess, but it all sounds very contrived.

So it does have a Prince connection, but quite possibly only in someone's head.

Who actually makes the claim in the book?

Is it the author quoting Jagger?

Is it the author referring to Jagger and a third party, but quoting Buell or someone else?

Is it the author reporting a story but not attributing the quotation specifically to anyone?

She WAS beautiful - voluptuos - no doubt about it. I hung with her in NYC for a couple weeks on a project. At the time she was dating Stiv Bators, which I never understood - she liked grungy men. We did an Annie Liebovitz shoot - pretty hot. As for the new book out - she's refuting a few of the authors stories.

Ah OK... I'm guessing that's because Liv was still young and that made her seem irresponsible.
