Mike was also working with Will.I.Am in Ireland as well. Seems like a lot of recording might have taken place there.

thats what i say, im sure michael did a lot of recording there. as i feel like he felt safe and creative and ready to work while he was there (not saying he wasnt always like that) but i felt like he was happy there

So Mike and...jazz? eek biggrin

They probably say jazzy in the same vein as "It's the Fallen in Love" or "I can't help it".

Even the original version of the girl is mine has more of a jazz feel to it.

I love hearing the demos. You get to see what Michael and Quincy brought to tracks from a production point of view, and what Michael brought in terms of vocal arrangement and delivery.

Will.I.Am has said he'll never allow the songs he made with Michael to be released

lol of course he won't because he doesn't have the vocal tracks. He only has the music. Michael kept the vocals to keep the records from being leaked.

The last time Will.I.Am was quoted about these songs, he said he would release them if Katherine wanted them released. His story changes all of the time, this has been well documented.

I tend to believe there are 2 nearly completed tracks: I'm Dreamin', The Future, and maybe even a 3rd...

Is anybody like me and see unreleased songs titles and then try to come up with what they might sound like?

Example: I was thinking about what Buffalo Bill might sound like and for whatever reason, I was thinking the chorus could be like "Who Shot Buffalo Bill..." with the chords and rhythm similar to The Things I Do For You.

I was also thinking about Tomboy and dreaming up chords that are similar to 2BAD.

You see these unreleased titles for so long and never hear them, you start dreaming them up biggrin

"Who shot Buffalo Bill? They said he shot a lot, did he ever get killed?" Is in fact the actual hook to the record and I also try to figure out the way the song sounds LOL!

Yeah, you're right. It's like Siadah's version cannot even compare to Michael's. They are like two different songs.

Dileo said Buffalo Bill was a uptempo dance track. This was back in '84 in Rolling Stone. And the engineer in the GS forum said the track was "John Barnes" influenced. This track was definitely worked on through the years and nearly if not complete. If BAD 25 doesn't have this, I'll be disappointed.

It doesnt. You would think Michael wrote the song just because of the level of emotion he puts into it. Michaels vocals are FLAWLESS on Man in the Mirror

Ballard came back strong after offering NiteLine for Thriller. Yeah, compared to Siedah, MJ took the song to a whole other stratosphere. But you can tell it was a hit ready to be made.

I wasn't really bashing Lisa Marie, just stating that her comments lack a bit of credibility now because she's contradicted herself a bunch of times now.

I"m sure both MJ and her have their share of faults- which led to them splitting up.

I know people are tired of this discussion but its in the MJ sticky so fuck it lol I think they both did as well but I just think it was immature how she made it out like Michael was the blame of why their marriage didnt work out and like she didnt play a apart in the seperation. She seemed bitter and angry and then backtracked when he passed away.. disbelief

Was Buffalo Bill even considered for inclusion on the BAD album? I'd love to hear the 1983 version. He smiled from ear to ear and sounded so confident when he spoke of it in that video. He said he knew for sure it would be a hit

What is up with Sony and his estate that they can't get the timeline of his recordings right? Clearly DBMA was recorded in '82 or something. Sound like he recorded this at Hayvenhurst too.

Bruce Swedien already stated DBMA was a 1982 Thriller outtake during the Thriller 25 campaign. Sony/Estate clearly doesn't have enough demos to fill the second cd for BAD 25. I don't even know why they bothered saying it was a BAD demo

Mike wrote and record over 60 songs for Bad. They obviously have enough.

I like the song. It's really good. Different for Mike.

Hard to give a proper evaluation since it was only a 30 sec. snippet. I heard some similarities to Streetwalker, especially towards the end of the snippet. Vocals do sound like early to mid 80's. Definitely not Dangerous era.

Just wanted to share this interview of Paddy Dunning of Michaels visit in Ireland, he also talks how Michael played the drums with him in his studio.

"Michael was an amazing guitarist, he was incredible on the drums, he stunned everyone when he sat down at the piano. "- Paddy Dunning (about Michael's work in the studio in 2006 in Ireland).

I'd be interesting if he has any footage of it because I heard he blew people away when he played some Beatles song while living in Ireland.... Mike should have def stayed there, he seemed loved and respected. biggrin

I loved it. Thanks for posting.

You're welcome biggrin

Yes some of the the songs (2 songs I believe) Will.I.As are instrumental but there's at least 2 songs that are completed with vocal track. I was talking to this guy, can't mention names because he's being investigated for being one of the people who hacked sony last year (that's what he told me). And I heard some snippets from those Will.I.Am tracks, I dont know how he got those songs, however my feeling is that many songs that Will worked with Mike on were released on his "Songs About Girls " album from 07, which I always thought sounded very Michael inspired. Meaning that they worked with at least 8 songs, but Mike was only satisfied with 2-3 which isnt really nothing new.

I'm a bit dissapointed because I thought it would sound completly different (in the words of Bruce Swedien ; one of Michaels masterpieces and one the most beautiful songs he'd heard) , however I like it and I'm so happy that I'm finally hearing MICHAELS BEAUTIFUL VOICE and not some fake singer. It's a demo, so it's not supposed to sound like it would be on an album.

Very rough demo. With more work, it could've been a hit. Glad it was left untouched.

I wonder if there is anything in the vaults that is actually finished. So far it's been mostly just rough demos. Songs that need a lot more work.

The Will.I.Am tracks were most likely going to be on the new album he was working on. Were a couple songs completed? If so, they might be the best of the unreleased stuff. The Estate needs to get the rights to them and release them if this is the case.
