Yeah but not question Ray J or Aretha. Double standard at its finest.

Why did you have to mention this douche up? lol Dude is so annoying to me mad But yeah, he's seems to have gotten off scott free of inquiry. His people were quick to claim his whereabouts shortly after she died. As if to say, "our client had nothing to do with it."

Around the time Whitney died, he had talked of doing another reality show. I forgot what the show is supposed to be about.

^^ I want to buy that "required" greatest hits cd from Whitney because (shamed to say) although I have the Bodyguard soundtrack on vinyl, I did not convert to CD and I didn't buy any of my other Houston favorites through the years.

I want to get one to add to my meager collection as my honor to The Voice... but I feel torn since I keep reading that Clive Davis and Sony will get this money and not Whitney's daughter.

And before anyone throw shade on me for not having her cd's in my collection, truth is, I am cheap, and Houston's music was played SO MUCH on the radio.... I never needed to buy her music.

Even now, when I want to hear her music, I can just turn on the radio... but I know that period will soon pass. So I want to add to my collection because ....

[wow, the reality is hitting me and causing me to tear up]

I want to add to my collection because I know that we will never hear another singer as gifted as Whitney. And when I am (God willing) really old, I want to be able to pull out that old CD player and put on her CD and tell my grand kids, "now this is a woman that could SANG"

I don't know if I should wait until the price gouging it over, or buy now to support this phenonemen of Whitney dominating the charts one last time.

I'd recommend getting her dvd version of the Greatest Hits. It's one of the very first dvds I ever bought and probably my most played. Lots of nice extras on it as well. Check out the tracklist below.

Track Listing:

1. Whitney Houston & Clive Davis Interview
2. Behind The Scenes: At Greatest Hits Photo Shoot (Dolce & Gabbana Photo Shoot)
3. One Moment In Time (from the 31st Grammy Awards Performance)
4. Why Does It Hurt So Bad (Live From The 1996 MTV Movie Awards)
5. My Love Is Your Love (Live From Mannheim Germany)
6. Impossible - (From Disney's Rogers & Hammerstein's Cinderella)
7. Merv Griffin Show: Interview with Clive and Whitney
8. Lover For Life - (from An HBO Concert For A New South Africa)
9. It's Not Right But It's Okay (From MTV All Access)
10. Home (From The Merv Griffin Show)
11. Exhale (Shoop Shoop)
12. You Give Good Love
13. Saving All My Love For You
14. How Will I Know
15. Greatest Love Of All
16. I Wanna Dance With Somebody
17. Didn't We Almost Have It All
18. So Emotional
19. Where Do Broken Hearts Go
20. I'm Your Baby Tonight
21. All The Man That I Need
22. The Star Spangled Banner
23. I Will Always Love You
24. I'm Every Woman
25. I Have Nothing
26. Run To You
27. Queen Of The Night
28. Exhale (Shoop Shoop)
29. I Believe In You And Me
30. Step By Step
31. Heartbreak Hotel
32. I Learned From The Best

Thanks for the recommendation. a DVD... I hadn't even thought of that. Well, let me look for it. I hope they won't price gouge too much. neutral

Bobby Brown's Night Out After Whitney's Funeral: Performing & Gambling

Bobby Brown's Night Out After Whitney's Funeral: Performing & Gambling

Feb 20, 2012

Saturday was an exceptionally long day for Bobby Brown.

The singer appeared at his ex-wife Whitney Houston's funeral for a short time early in the day. Later, he took a private jet from New Jersey to Connecticut to perform at the Mohegan Sun casino's arena with his longtime, on-and-off band New Edition, according to a rep for the casino.

The show – which lasted more than an hour and included hits such as "Candy Girl," "Mr. Telephone Man," "Tenderoni" and "My Prerogative" – featured some emotional moments for Brown.

"I wanna give blessings to my ex-wife Whitney Houston. I love you," Brown said, pointing toward the sky. "I want to give blessings to my kids, my brothers and all of you. Thank you for the love."

"He was upset today," one of Brown's band mates told the crowd, adding that the rest of group told him, "hit 'em with your voice, man."

After the show, Brown, some band mates, and a group of family and friends hit Bobby Flay's restaurant Bar Americain. Wearing a gray vest and a Red Sox baseball cap, Brown looked relaxed and low key as he posed for photos with fans. A source tells PEOPLE he drank Grey Goose on the rocks. At one point, he did a little dance for the table.

Brown hugged friends and family throughout the evening, as the crowd of about 15-20 people hung at the upscale bar and restaurant along with him.

Around 12:15 a.m, he and much of his entourage left the restaurant and headed for the high rollers gambling area of the casino, where Brown settled into a $500 minimum bet blackjack table.

"He wasn't really partying, but he was having a good time with his old crew from Boston," says an onlooker. "He had a lot of support and bodyguards stuck close to him to keep fans from being too intrusive."

But Brown and friends gambled for only a short time. Says an eyewitness: "In the end, it looked like his heart wasn't in it. No one gambles for 20 minutes. It was like token gambling just because they were there at the casino."

They soon moved on as an entourage across the casino floor, where Brown posed for more fan photos. He was holding his fiancée, Alicia Ethridge's hand much of the time. Around 1 a.m., they arrived at seafood joint and raw bar Summer Shack and hunkered down at a secluded back table. There, Brown seemed to really crash, putting his head down wearily at times.

After a quiet snack, smokes and drinks, a source tells PEOPLE, they all filed out at 2 a.m. and back to their hotel rooms.

well, then they need to GTFOH with that BS. He is her ex husband. not her widower...

Whitney's estate (wow!) will receive royalties from sales but not from airplay.

Writers and producers who worked with her will have a great year. They get paid on sales and airplay.

Thanks for telling me this. So all this radio airplay will pay the others, but Whitney's estate WILL get some money from record sales.

Yeah, I've decided to get the DVD suggested earlier in the thread. i looked on amazon... suprised to find it $9.99.

Sold!!

You make no sense whatsoever. lol What does all of that have to do with you saying "If they can forgive R. Kelly well?" Get your head checked.

The Houston's simply don't like Bobby Brown and whether Whitney started doing drugs long before Bobby came along won't change the fact that they don't like him.

and if you read about the situation then you'd know that Bobby's tacky ass was wrong for inviting 9 other people when he should've just went along with the rules.

nod *I* would have had my other guests sit whereever they were directed, just so I could be there for my daughter, and not add to the grief of her mother (justified grief or not).

At the same time, as the grieving family, I would have overlooked Bobby's misstep, and just kept it moving. Either one could have adjusted, overlooked etc for the sake of Whitney's daughter... and both dug in their heels.

Poor Bobby Kris was caught in the crossfire. Although from what I have read, Bobby has not really been that close to his daughter lately. So not sure just how much support Bobby Kris would have felt from her father's presence.

The whole thing is sad, but there is nothing that can be done about it now. Done is done.

Many of the comments from the media and even posters on this thread are riddled with double standards to me at least. R. Kelly did a beautiful song but all the R. Kelly praise for singing a beautiful, uplifting song for Whitney's farewell service just made me remember how dude didn't seem to pay the same respects to Aaliyah when she died at the very young age of 22 in a horrible plane crash and they were closer than him and Whitney from what I remember. How can someone mourn one loved one's passing soo dramatically yet sweep another loved one's passing under the rug so easily? neutral

People wanting to rip Bobby's head off because he chose to bring his FAMILY to his ex-wife's funeral. I've never been a Bobby fan but he doesn't deserve the hate he's getting. Sorry, but you may divorce a spouse but you damn sure don't divorce your children and that's why he brought them and I think Whitney would have been excited to have them there. Seriously, being moved 3 times is ridiculous and I have more respect for him for humbly kissing her casket and exiting without making a scene.

Aretha wasn't there for whatever reason so that was her choice. Personally, I think she shouldn't have stated that she was going to attend if she knew she had other obligations and that would have been the end of this 'blame Aretha for not showing up' debate. Doesn't make her look very loving of Whitney to skip her farewell service but do a show the next day for paying fans but hey that's her perogative and like everyone keeps saying, 'We all mourn differently'.

Ray J is Ray J...'We all mourn differently'...that's all I'm gonna say about that dude. I don't doubt that he loved Whitney at all and that she loved him back so I hope his heart and soul heal as time goes by just like all those who where soo close to Whitney on a daily basis.

It was a beautiful farewell service for a beautiful person and God bless all those who spoke and sang for her from their hearts and not their pockets (*cough* Clive *cough*). As Kevin Costner so beautifully said it, 'So off you go Whitney, off you go. Escorted by an army of angels to your Heavenly Father. And when you sing before Him, don't you worry. You'll be good enough.' rose pray

Beautiful & classy service and the end really just broke me! Tyler,Kevin,Rickey Minor and Ray the bodyguard were especially moving.

**Everything was classy than I have to hear about Bobby Brown. I'm so sick of hearing about him. Everytime I think he will act right he takes me to the curb. Do you really need to bring your whole tribe?! Seriously. You've been EX to the next for years, plus you don't have it like that to be taking up all the space(its a small church). Even IF he was asked to move several times than why not be a bigger person and just move?! Who gets in such a big huff that they leave their ex's funeral that they 'love'. There wont be another! Granted I would do what I could to stay and just vent later if I wanted! I don't know if I believe the Bobbi Kris story so I wont comment. I dont know who to believe but this is Bobby and his actions I just cant. He's been a habitual line stepper since his N.E days maybe even longer.

About R Kelly and Aaliyah... I was under the impression that R kelly probably wanted to be as close to Aaliyah as possible but her family (in particular her father) kept him away or risk bodily harm.

I had heard that R Kelly was "muscled" or threatened by her father's people (Black Muslims) and R Kelly backed off and that marriage was annulled and R Kelly went away and NEVER came sniffing back.

Just gossip and my take on it.

R. Kelly vowed after Aaliyah's tragic death not to ever speak of or mention her name again out of respect for her family. To me that shows more of his love for her. Just like Robin won't speak anything about Whitney after her tragic death or even before it(besides her touching dedication letter). That is respect. Bobby should do the same. I hope he does..
